Su Li felt a chill run through her whole body, and her footsteps stopped instinctively.

Haohao thinks she might have Stockholm syndrome?

Shock surged through Su Li’s heart; she didn’t dare pry any further, turned and left the counselor’s office, sat down on the chair outside, facing the wind. Her mind was unusually clear.

If Haohao still has lingering feelings for Feng Huaimu... what then?

She had never considered that possibility, because Xu Haohao had always been a rational and decisive girl. She’d already seen Feng Huaimu’s true colors—how could she still hold out hope for him?

That one sentence she’d just overheard out of nowhere left Su Li feeling somewhat at sea.

"Why are you sitting right in the draft, Junior Sister? Don’t let yourself catch a chill." Xuan Ting’s voice suddenly came from above her.

Su Li looked up and saw him in thin autumn clothes; when he reached to pull the window shut, his cuff fell back, revealing a stretch of fair, clean forearm. It looked like he was only wearing an autumn jacket, with maybe just a short-sleeved T-shirt underneath.

People who practice Martial Arts really aren’t afraid of the cold—she was already in a down jacket.

"Fourth Senior Brother, what are you doing here?" Once the window was closed, Su Li felt much warmer and asked with a smile.

Xuan Ting leaned against the wall, glanced at the tightly closed counseling room, and said cheerfully, "It’s boring as hell guiding that bunch of idiots at the Martial Arts Hall, and then I heard you’d come to the hospital, so I came to check on you."

Su Li felt something was off about that, and looked at Xuan Ting with open suspicion.

As she watched, that handsome face gradually flushed red under her gaze, and a sudden thought sprang up in Su Li’s mind.

It’s not like in a lifetime you can only ever like one man. Besides... the ex is a scumbag who played with her feelings?

"Junior Sister... don’t look at me like that, I feel awkward," Xuan Ting stammered a little.

Su Li gave him a smile that said she’d seen right through everything.

Inside the counseling room, the young therapist was a bit surprised by what Xu Haohao had just said. He pushed up his glasses and smiled. "Miss Xu, patients with Stockholm syndrome don’t realize they’re ill. They psychologically keep depending on their abuser."

Xu Haohao was silent for a while; she could no longer even figure out what she was thinking.

He really wasn’t any kind of good person. He’d restricted her freedom for so long—she should see him as an enemy. But she still couldn’t quite stop herself from imagining the scene of him being arrested, and what she felt wasn’t happiness but... worry.

She knew this was wrong.

Xu Haohao talked with the therapist for a long time before finally walking out of the counseling room.

Time can wear down everything.

Was that what Doctor Liang meant?

"What are you doing here?" Xu Haohao scratched her hair, looked around, and didn’t see Su Li. Instead she saw Xuan Ting leaning nearby, holding out a cup of hot milk tea.

Xu Haohao instantly went on guard. "Milk tea? You’re not gonna make me pay again, are you? I didn’t ask you to buy this."

Xuan Ting laughed. "You don’t have to pay. Drink."

Hot milk tea in winter is pure bliss. Xu Haohao immediately took it and drank a sip. "Caramel flavor—just what I like."

"Since when has Grandmaster Xuan been so generous? Actually treating me to milk tea? Unbelievable."

Xuan Ting drank from his own cup, lifted his long legs, and started down the stairs, tossing back, "Second cup free."

Xu Haohao: "...!!!!"

She knew it—there was no way Xuan Ting would be so kind as to treat her to milk tea. So it was just the free add-on!
