Her expression immediately changed the moment she saw that scene. 

"What are you doing!?" She shouted in rage, tears started to roll down her eyes.

She may have a fiery temper, but she was also actually a cry-baby.

"My Barrier Turtle won't be in control after he finishes using the barrier skill." Delo lied blatantly.with a smiling face. 

As long as he could get Leon killed, it would all be alright. If he got any closer to Belle any more than that, their plan would basically fail even though they still haven't started it. Anyways, the Guard Commander trusted him very much and even if Belle tried to report it to her father, he can always reason out that Belle was only making things up to get rid of him, just like always. 

Belle's brows knitted in frustration seeing that smile.

"How dare you!" She bellowed in rage as she took a ranked kitchen knife from her Storage Pouch. Without any warning, she immediately ran towards Delo and without hiding her intention, she immediately pushed the knife towards his direction. 

She could no longer take it. Her temper was already full. It won't be like this if it just involves Leon, after all, even though she got a crush on him, the feeling only appeared very recently. 

What crossed her line was Delo's Barrier Turtle pinning down her Red Falcon too. 

'If I kill him now your Monster would also disappear.' She thought in rage. 

She immediately acted, even catching Delo off guard. Alas, Delo was already an F-Apprentice Rank Summoner while she was only a newly awakened X-Mortal Rank Summoner.

Delo easily slapped away her hand, making her drop the knife in the process. 

"Ouch!" Belle exclaimed as she rubbed her reddish hand. 

"Just stay here, I'm protecting you from the Beast," Delo said with a frown on his face. He did not expect Belle to act that violently. 

It seems that her affection for Leon has already started to sink deeply. It was strange but he could also not blame her. After all, no girl could resist a strong man like Leon, even more so with a 16 years old young girl like her. 

What he must do now was just to severe her infatuation with him while it's still early.

At the other side, Ban had just finished collecting all the sellable parts of the Boney Porcupines. Suddenly, he felt that something was wrong. The temperature suddenly turned cold even though the sun was still blazing hot above him. 

Ban was confused at the situation. At the same time, a cold sweat started to roll down his neck. 

Eva noticed that peculiarity instantly. She wiped it with one of her hands and feeling its temperature, she was also kind of taken aback. Without Ban's order, she immediately used the Skill, 'Sensor' and what she saw was something she didn't expect. 

She reported it immediately to Ban, but at that moment she suddenly felt a strong gust of wind coming from their back. Eva became alerted almost instantly. She hurriedly looked around along with Ban who also got alerted by the sudden gust of wind as well as from Eva's report.

They turned their heads behind them at the same time and at that moment, they immediately entered the Perfect Harmony state almost instantly, after seeing the incoming attack from the unknown Beast's ambush.

A huge shadow covered both of them as the huge Beast's that looked like a snake pounced on them fiercely. 

However, before the Beast's attack could land, Eva had already transformed into her Wrath state almost instantly. Her aura changed and her size grew a little compared to before. Her eyes were a bit red as her body glowed with a faint red light. Her wings started to buzz rapidly, and at the same time, Ban immediately cast two stacks of the Reinforce skill to her to heighten her defense. 

It was already too late for them to evade the attack, they just braced themselves to receive the attack head on instead. 

Their movements were in sync. Eva rose up with a flap of her wings while Ban pushed her from behind to support her. She was the vanguard, the primary receiver of the attack, while Ban was just behind her, supporting her back. 

[Shiny Headed Rattlesnake!

Digging through the hot desert all day long, the head of the Shiny Headed Rattlesnake became shiny to deflect heat. 

Adapting to its hot habitat, the Shiny Headed Rattlesnake was immune to heat-based attacks. 

Shiny Headed Rattlesnakes are the second evolution of Rough Headed Rattlesnake. After the evolution, they would be able to dig through sands easily without disturbing the surroundings that much. 

Always curious of the surroundings and will always observe their prey before hunting. 

Be careful, the unique low sound of its rattle can make anyone below their rank to lower their guard unknowingly.

Ban did not waste any time as he scanned the Beast for its identity before it's attack could land. All knowledge regarding the Shiny Headed Rattlesnake was immediately downloaded inside his brain. Not even a second had passed and he was already able to understand and recall all of the knowledge in one go. 

Although it was not the whole knowledge yet, Ban thought that it was already enough for the time being. He scanned the knowledge immediately and with that, he was now thinking of how to counterattack even though the attack of their opponent did not even land yet.

He doesn't know if it was caused by the System or was it caused by the severity of the situation, but his brain worked rapidly at this point. 

His brain and the System worked splendidly and right before the attack landed, a plan was already formulated inside his brain. 

Grr! Grrr! Grrr! 

Eva's mandibles trembled like it was gritting as she crossed her four arms to cover her small chest from the incoming impact.

Her buttocks perfectly fitted on Ban's palm. She flapped her wings quite hard while Ban lowered his hips and planted his foot deep into the sand to prepare for the impact. 

At that moment, the shiny head of the rattlesnake finally arrived.
