Chapter 300: Madara Uchiha’s Next Move

"You’re really the Amekage?"

After entering Amegakure, Ryūzetsu naturally noticed the reverence the villagers showed toward Ning Feng.

It was genuine respect that came from the heart.

There was no way so many people could be putting on an act at the same time.

This guy, who didn’t look much older than them...

Was actually the Amekage?

"So..."

"Are you planning to stay in Amegakure?"

Ning Feng raised an eyebrow and looked at her.

"Uh..."

Ryūzetsu subconsciously took a step back and awkwardly scratched her head.

Now that she knew he was the Amekage, she was beginning to regret how she’d treated him before.

"You’re basically homeless now anyway."

"Muku has already decided to stay here."

"What about you?"

Ning Feng glanced toward the towering central structure of Amegakure.

Before leaving, he’d specifically given Muku one of his personal tokens.

By now, Muku should have already arrived at the tower and met Konan and Yahiko.

"Muku decided to stay here?"

Ryūzetsu looked surprised.

"That’s impossible. He never mentioned anything like that to me."

"Why would he need to tell you?"

Ning Feng couldn’t help laughing.

"He made up his mind long ago."

"Even if you’d chosen somewhere else to go, he would’ve followed me in the end."

Ryūzetsu’s face turned slightly pale.

She couldn’t understand it.

They had been childhood friends for years.

Why had Muku made such an important decision without even discussing it with her?

Had she already become less important in his heart?

"Are you sure you’re not lying to me?"

"I’ll only believe it if I hear Muku say it himself."

Taking a deep breath, she remained half-convinced.

But if Muku truly intended to stay in Amegakure...

Then she would stay with him.

No matter what.

Amegakure Tower

"Then let’s welcome our two newest companions."

Sitting at the head of the conference table, Ning Feng smiled sincerely as he looked at the young man and woman seated nearby.

"Hmph!"

Ryūzetsu puffed out her cheeks and let out a long snort.

Konan, seated beside her, immediately pulled her closer and whispered something into her ear.

Only then did her expression soften.

If not for Big Sister Konan being so kind and understanding...

And if Muku hadn’t already decided to stay...

She would’ve left long ago.

"Now then."

"Let’s continue discussing the Box of Paradise."

Ning Feng turned toward Orochimaru.

"What are the research results?"

"Lord Feng, this box is quite fascinating."

Orochimaru rose to his feet and pointed toward the massive box behind Ning Feng.

"It can absorb chakra without any apparent limit."

"Theoretically, the amount it can absorb is staggering."

"And after enough chakra is gathered..."

"The creature inside manifests."

"We already know that."

Ning Feng impatiently waved him off.

After all, he was the one who had supplied enough chakra to summon Satori in the first place.

"Through our experiments with Muku, we discovered something else."

Orochimaru slowly walked around Muku, licking his lips.

The pale scientist wore an almost manic smile.

"Lord Feng."

"Muku and the Box of Paradise have effectively created something equivalent to a Tailed Beast."

Ning Feng frowned.

"I wouldn’t call it creating one."

"The creature already existed within the box."

"Heh. That’s not important."

Orochimaru shrugged.

"The more significant discovery comes from analyzing Muku’s body."

He retrieved a report from his desk.

"Muku’s physical strength has increased dramatically."

"It now rivals that of ordinary Kage-level shinobi."

"Even in his normal state, although his ability to sense hostility has weakened somewhat..."

"He can still utilize it as a combat tool."

"So Muku himself became stronger because of Satori?"

Ning Feng looked at him with interest.

He hadn’t expected that stabilizing Muku using Sage Chakra would allow him to inherit part of Satori’s abilities.

Perhaps the Sage of Six Paths’ treasure really was that extraordinary.

"That’s correct, Lord Feng."

Orochimaru smiled.

This research had provided him with far more than he expected.

Not only had it offered new directions for his Curse Mark experiments...

The coexistence of Sage Chakra and Satori’s chakra within Muku’s body had inspired entirely new possibilities.

If he continued down this path, the next generation of Curse Marks might not be far away.

"Excellent."

Ning Feng looked at Muku with satisfaction.

Originally, he had only hoped to learn more about controlling the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.

Instead, he’d unexpectedly brought back a powerful combat asset.

In the movie, Satori had caused endless trouble for Naruto, Killer B, and the others.

In the end, it had only been defeated through what could practically be called plot armor.

Satori’s raw power wasn’t overwhelming.

But combined with its unique abilities...

Even Madara would likely suffer if he faced it without prior knowledge.

Let’s keep Muku as a hidden trump card.

No need to reveal him on the battlefield yet.

Ning Feng’s gaze softened considerably.

In future battles against Madara and the others...

Muku could play a crucial role.

"Next..."

Orochimaru suddenly changed the subject.

"We’ve made a new prediction regarding Madara Uchiha’s movements."

"Oh?"

Ning Feng looked over.

"Through the Box of Paradise, I traced where the chakra of those who entered it ended up."

Orochimaru smiled.

"If we send Edo Tensei shinobi into the box..."

"We can track their destination afterward."

"Edo Tensei shinobi possess limitless chakra and infinite stamina."

Ning Feng nodded.

"That’s actually a clever approach."

He had always wondered why the Box of Paradise continued absorbing chakra even after Satori had emerged.

The box was simply too strange.

As a result, Ning Feng had never personally entered it.

"It was Muku’s idea."

Orochimaru spread his hands.

"The Edo Tensei experiments answered many of our questions."

"And in the end..."

"I discovered the true secret of the Box of Paradise."

A mysterious smile appeared on Orochimaru’s face.

"What secret?"

Ning Feng frowned.

Just as things were getting interesting, Orochimaru stopped talking.

Without another word, Orochimaru leaned forward.

He bent down beside Ning Feng and whispered a single sentence into his ear.

The moment Ning Feng heard it—

His expression changed dramatically.
