Chapter 561: Chapter 324: New Potion

「April 5th.」

Four days had passed since his return from the Ancient Ruins.

A conflict had erupted within the Reincarnation Church, causing considerable chaos in Atlantis City. A massive explosion rang out, and flames shot to the sky, erupting from the Reincarnation Church’s sanctuary.

Reincarnators from the Reincarnation Sect could be seen standing in mid-air.

They were split into two groups in the sky and looked as if they were about to fight at a moment’s notice. Among them were even some Level 7 Reincarnators.

But soon, the city’s Level 7 Reincarnator, Ruga, stepped forward.

His appearance quelled the conflict.

"If you have a conflict, settle it outside the city."

"Your dispute isn’t about destroying this city, is it?"

Ruga’s presence was overwhelming. One by one, powerful figures from the major Churches also rose into the sky.

Seeing such a lineup, the Reincarnation Sect did not let the matter escalate further.

They eventually left. It was unknown where they went to resolve their dispute, but it seemed to be related to an internal power struggle.

Lu Cang didn’t pay much attention to these matters; they had little to do with him.

Aside from that, there had been no news of Yelieya from the Light Church during this time.

It seemed she had been taken away.

’What a pity about her Divine Artifact.’

Yelieya’s Divine Artifact had returned to her hands.

Just as all of Lu Cang’s own storage items had returned to him, so too had Yelieya’s Divine Artifact.

After returning that time, Lu Cang had figured out some of the rules.

Simply put, any items one possessed before entering that gate were recorded and preserved. Even if lost, they would be restored to their original state.

And anything obtained after entering the gate could also be kept.

But... if one were to kill someone and seize their treasures within the gate,

the items would be returned all the same.

’Such a shame. If he could, Lu Cang would willingly trade all his storage items for that Sword of Purifying Fire and Judgment.’

As for Rhine, he had returned to his usual casual demeanor.

There was no telling what had happened to him.

However, Lu Cang didn’t dwell on either of them.

They had only been temporary teammates, after all.

Frankly, his level of familiarity with them was a far cry from what he had with Kumironi and the others.

Besides those two, Lu Cang had also gone and learned all the Magic from the Mages in the city who possessed Root Magic.

Now that he had the Lighthouse of All Laws, he could directly extract Magic from others.

Learning other people’s Magic no longer required a tedious process.

However, to avoid harming innocent Mages, Lu Cang performed most of these extractions within his simulations.

After all, extracting Root Magic from a stranger in reality was simply unconscionable.

...

"Lu Cang, why does this Potion... feel strange?"

At that moment, Lu Luwei was sitting on the bed behind Lu Cang.

"I feel... so hot." Lu Luwei’s face was flushed and burning.

"Oh, that’s a normal phenomenon."

"The side effect of this Potion is that it’s an aphrodisiac, so feeling hot is normal..."

Lu Luwei: "Huh!?"

"Lu Cang! What in the world did you make me drink?"

Lu Luwei clamped her legs together, her face crimson as she asked.

"A Potion that enhances perceptual sensitivity."

Lu Cang observed Lu Luwei closely, poking her thigh with his finger. He felt a soft, springy sensation and heard a faint moan escape Lu Luwei’s throat.

"But it looks like it only enhanced your sensitivity..."

Just from Lu Cang’s touch, Lu Luwei felt a numbing tingle spread through her entire body.

"Lu Cang! You..." Lu Luwei bit her lip.

"Who taught you to do this?"

Now that Lu Cang’s strength had completely surpassed her own, he had clearly become much bolder.

"I researched it myself..."

Lu Cang was referring to the Potion.

"You!"

Lu Luwei felt a tingling itch all over her body. She wondered if, at Lu Cang’s age...

’A Level 5 Warrior... could he be... developing early?’

But just as this thought crossed Lu Luwei’s mind, the heat surging through her body began to recede.

In its place came a cleansing of her Perception.

Lu Luwei felt her Perception had become much richer. As her senses swept over objects, it was as if she also possessed a sense of touch.

’This is...’

"It seems it was a success."

"The Sharp Perception Potion."

Lu Cang recorded the result.

The inspiration for this Potion came from the Realm of Secret Knowledge. Lu Cang had experienced a similar sensation there once before.

His Perception was extremely sensitive to everything it touched.

It was as if he were truly touching things with his skin.

This sensation was recorded by Lu Cang’s extremely high Spirituality, and now, having thought of some medicinal ingredients with similar properties, Lu Cang managed to replicate the idea.

It wasn’t just Magic.

Concocting Potions also required a boundless imagination.

He had heard that the Potions created by High Level Pharmacists could achieve all sorts of impossible things.

In the time since he returned, Lu Cang had also been researching Potions.

He couldn’t rush his Prophet Level, as that advancement accumulated over time. The more of the Future he changed, the faster his progress as a Prophet would be.

And it had only been a little over ten days since his last advancement to Prophet.

Even though many things had happened to Lu Cang during this period, for the world at large, only a little over ten days had passed.

He couldn’t advance as a Prophet so quickly.

As for Magic and Combat Skills, his constant battles with powerful opponents a while back had allowed him to accumulate a good amount of experience.

However, advancing from Level 5 to 6 was completely different from previous advancements.

Even Izparut had been stuck on advancing to Level 6 for nearly two years.

Advancing from Level 5 to Level 6 required more than just honing oneself.

One also had to spread their own "art" throughout the world.

This process could involve taking on an apprentice, teaching them personally, and having them inherit one’s legacy.

It could also mean passing down one’s Combat Skills and Magic to the world, leaving them for future generations to study.

In the process of doing so,

one also leaves a trace of their own insights and understanding in the world... This is also why so many different arts are passed down.

Advancing from Level 5 to Level 6 is also a proof of one’s existence.

One’s art has formed its own system, and their understanding of the Source can be learned by later generations and passed down as an exemplar.

To advance to Level 6, spreading one’s art is an essential step.

This, too, could not be rushed.

Lu Cang submitted some of the Magic he had created to the local Magic Association.

They became public Spellbooks.

This action also earned Lu Cang a significant number of Contribution Points from the Mage Association.

"Next up is this Potion..."

Lu Cang took out another new Potion.

Lu Luwei hugged her chest. "It’s not another one of those strange Potions, is it?"

Lu Cang gave a helpless smile. "This one isn’t for you. It’s for me."

With that, Lu Cang downed the entire Potion in one gulp.

This was another new Secret Medicine he had developed on April 5th. Drinking it would extend the time he could remain within the Void.

A perfect version of the Potion would extend the time Lu Cang could remain in the Void from 2 seconds to 10 seconds.

As for its duration, he could drink up to ten Potions within 24 hours, with each one lasting for 15 minutes.

For combat, that should be more than enough for most situations.

「April 9th.」

Lu Cang went out into the wilderness and personally inscribed a brand new Ritual Array for advancement.
