Chapter 444: Activate stealth spells

Inside Vergas Empire, House No. 55BC’s basement...

Suddenly a small door attached to the ground blew away and Leon walked out of it as he dusted off his clothes.

Rees, Dreulis, Enid and Dusk followed out behind him.

"This guy is really good for a spy. Built a tunnel-" Before Leon could’ve completed his sentence, he felt a presence in the room. It wasn’t a strong one but it was there.

Leon slowly looked around and pin pointed the location of the unknown presence.

"You do know the I can see you, right ?" Leon asked with a smile as he pointed towards one of the room’s corner.

"What !?" A figure covered in all black immediately merged out of the dark corner and started sprinting towards the tunnel’s entrance.

"Heh," Leon smiled as he immediately used his skill.

<Rotten Ground>

Suddenly, a dark red circle appeared in front of him on the ground and thousands of black rotten hands shot out of it, grabbing the sprinting figure immediately, from each and every angle stopping him immediately on his path.

’What the fuck !? The escalation speed of this spell is amazing. Why didn’t I use it until now !???’ Leon thought as his eyes widened in shock for a moment.

"L-Let go of meeee." The man shouted as he looked at Leon with an angry expression.

Rees immediately used his skill and created a small sphere of light that lightened up the whole basement.

Leon’s eyes returned back to normal as he looked at the man and noticed that he had black thick hairs, a very skinny body and brown eyes with dark circles under them due to extreme lack of sleep.

Without wasting another second, he used his skill on him.

[Description: Rauloz is working as an undercover spy and he supplies information back to weaver household through the tunnel as soon as everyone in the Vergas Empire goes to sleep.

But due to working too much in the past few days, he is not getting enough sleep.]

"You don’t have any idea, who I am and what house i belong to, I don’t know how you found the entrance to my tunnel but-"

"You are Rauloz from the weaver household and you are a spy. How much time did it even took you to make this tunnel ?" Leon asked with a confused expression.

"H-How do you know that ? I-I-I-"

"I am sent by Justin Weaver in order to assess the situation of this kingdom." Leon replied with a neutral expression.

"What !? But, I didn’t get any orders from the household." Rauloz replied with a serious expression.

"You won’t, it was a swift action in order to stop the summoning of the demon." Leon replied immediately as he turned off the spell and let go of him.

"I-I see." Rauloz replied with a neutral expression as he slowly stood up from the ground.

"What is the condition outside ?" Leon asked with a neutral expression.

"Please follow me upstairs." Rauloz spoke as he started walking towards the basement’s door.

Leon and the others followed behind.

As soon as the gate opened up, Rauloz stopped and slowly raised his hand outside the door’s frame.

"It’s me and some other people from the house." He spoke as he walked out, only to notice a woman standing right next to the door with a sharp sword in her hand.

After him, Leon and others walked out.

"I need to talk to you." The woman spoke as she immediately grabbed Rauloz’s hand and took him to the other side.

"Master, you knew she was there, right ?" Dusk asked as he looked at Leon.

"One of my blade was floating right under the floor, if she would’ve moved one inch from her location it would’ve been her last move." Leon replied with a smile as he walked upto the house’s window and noticed that it was covered from outside with a black cloth.

"What’s happening outside ?" Leon asked with a confused expression.

"They have covered every house’s window, so that no one can see anything that’s happening outside.

All the merchants, who don’t belong to the kingdom are gone and they have also closed off the kingdom completely.

Demonic guards are patrolling the Kingdom at all times in pairs of two, covering almost all the streets. It’s impossible to get out without getting spotted." Rauloz spoke as he walked back to Leon.

Leon slowly turned around and used his skill on the girl.

"Who is she ?" Leon asked with a smile as he looked at Madirea.

"She is an ally sir, I have wrote about her in the previous letters that I sent to the household." Rauloz replied with a neutral expression.

"I see." Leon replied with a neutral expression.

"They don’t even know about me. Take a hint, they aren’t from the weaver household you idiot." Madirea spoke with a serious expression as she looked at Leon.

"Don’t speak until told or you won’t be speaking at all." Dreulis spoke as he raised his wand towards her.

"Where is the summoning ritual taking place ?" Leon asked with a neutral expression.

"The main ritual will happen inside the church, but I still don’t have any idea what they are offering as the sacrifice and where is the magic circle of summoning." Rauloz replied with a neutral expression.

"Good, everyone activate your stealth spells. We will go out in 5 minutes." Leon ordered with a neutral expression.

"YES, MASTER."
