“Not only that… You also took another gamble when you ran out of the pact circle. How did you know if the demon will follow you out ?” Dreulis asked as he looked at Leon.

“As I have already said… I played a gamble. If i would’ve failed, I would’ve died. As simple as that.” Leon replied in a neutral tone.

“Well he is already a king. A really powerful and smart one at that.” Adwin replied with a smile.

“Yeah… About that, I am not a king, Adwin.” Leon spoke as he looked at Adwin.

“Two things, with no gesture have I specified that I am your friend and you only invited me to that meeting so that you can have more soldiers to die from you on the battlefield.” Leon replied in a calm tone.

“I would do everything in my power to protect my kingdom and it’s people. Creating Alliance with a neighbouring kingdom is called politics.” Adwin replied with a serious expression.

“Well… I just saved your kingdom from a demon invasion and you owe me a huge favour. I will ask for it when the time comes.” Leon replied with a straight face.

“You think I am afraid of you just cause you killed some demons by gambling on your life ? Give me one reason why should I even consider that as a favour coming from a huge liar like you ?”

“You don’t have to… at last you are a real king and I can’t stop you from playing politics. I also can’t force my will on you. That’s my stop, would you kindly make your carriage driver-”

“STOP THE CARRIAGE.” Adwin shouted loudly and the carriage came to halt immediately.

He then stepped out of the carriage and before closing the gate, Leon looked at Adwin one last time.

“This is what you call politics, King Adwin. My name is Leon Luster and I don’t like people forgetting my favours.” Leon spoke as he removed his mask and closed the carriage’s door.
