Chapter 407: Chapter 211: New Members of the Mansion, an Association’s Invitation

"Is this where you live?"

Stepping out of the Teleportation Light Gate, Tining curiously looked around.

The vast underground hall was already crowded with Ancient Tree Deer Spirits.

The fawns shook their antlers, curiously walking around and observing everything.

Although the underground hall was quite spartan—aside from the Enchanting Runes on the floor and walls meant to reinforce the structure, there were no other decorations—it was still a rare and fascinating sight for the Ancient Tree Deer Spirits, who had only ever lived on plains and in forests.

"This is just the underground hall. The actual living quarters are upstairs."

Pei Ze casually closed the Teleportation Light Gate and led the way toward the stairs.

"Let’s go. Come see the home I’ve prepared for you."

With over five hundred Ancient Tree Deer Spirits, all the courtyards and gardens of the mansion combined couldn’t possibly accommodate them. Besides, the Ancient Tree Deer Spirits were more accustomed to open plains and forests.

However, this was not a difficult problem to solve—nothing that Dimension Space Technology couldn’t handle.

That was why Pei Ze had already made arrangements long before heading to the Ancient Forest Plane.

As soon as they reached ground level, Nymph came forward to greet them.

The Water Sprite butler was stunned for a moment upon seeing the large herd of Ancient Tree Deer Spirits, but she tactfully said nothing. She simply bowed and said, "Welcome back, Master. Is there anything you need me to do?"

Pei Ze thought for a moment and asked, "Has the new batch of Moonlight Grass in the medicine garden been harvested yet?"

"Yes, it’s in the storeroom now."

"Go get it and deliver it to the Ancient Tree Courtyard."

"Yes, Master."

Nymph immediately turned and hurried off to her task.

Pei Ze then continued leading the Ancient Tree Deer Spirits toward their new home.

Tining followed behind Pei Ze with light steps. With wide eyes, she took in their surroundings—it was her first time seeing such a luxurious building—while also stopping the fawns from nibbling on the flowers and plants along the path.

"Eeee!"

A tiny figure suddenly rushed out, flying straight into Pei Ze’s arms.

Tining was startled and instinctively moved to strike. Fortunately, she got a clear look at the newcomer in time to suppress her reaction. Her gaze fell upon the Ten Thousand Flowers Fairy in Pei Ze’s arms.

The Ancient Forest Plane didn’t have much, but Spirit Creatures were everywhere. She had even seen the rare Ten Thousand Flowers Fairy on multiple occasions.

But she had never seen one like this, a Ten Thousand Flowers Fairy whose aura of nature was so rich it was almost tangible.

Tining was very curious just how many rare and precious plants this Ten Thousand Flowers Fairy must have consumed to cultivate such a rich natural aura.

"Eeee!"

Xiaoyi pointed at Tining and the crowd of Ancient Tree Deer Spirits, clamoring loudly.

Pei Ze said with a smile, "This is my friend, Tining, and this is her clan. They’ll be staying in the mansion for a while, so you must all get along."

"Eeee!"

"Don’t worry, they’re very easy to get along with."

"Eee?" Xiaoyi glanced doubtfully at Tining, who offered her a friendly smile.

Seeing this, Xiaoyi muttered a few words and finally quieted down. Then, with a twinkle in her eye, she turned and flew toward the Ancient Tree Deer Spirits, zipping around their antlers.

The Ancient Tree Deer Spirits didn’t seem to mind. They glanced at Xiaoyi before docilely lowering their heads and continuing to sniff their new surroundings.

Pei Ze smiled and continued on through the garden.

Along the way, the Water Sprites, Wood Elves, and Withered Leaf Fairies they encountered all paused their work. They respectfully greeted Pei Ze while secretly sizing up Tining and the Ancient Tree Deer Spirits.

Tining couldn’t hide the astonishment on her face; she hadn’t expected Pei Ze’s home to be filled with so many Spirit Creatures.

Before long, the group arrived at a semicircular archway.

From the outside, the archway appeared to lead to an ordinary courtyard.

But upon passing through it, Tining’s vision suddenly opened up. A vast plain instantly unfolded before her eyes.

"This is..."

Tining’s eyes shone as she gazed at the scene, utterly astonished by what she saw.

"So, what do you think? The environment is acceptable, right?" Pei Ze said with a smile.

The design of this place was actually inspired by Mo Weng’s Medicine Garden No. 8.

For an Elemental Mage, using Dimension Space Technology to create a plains and forest area hundreds or even thousands of times larger than the physically limited courtyard was not a difficult task.

After obtaining the relevant technology from Mo Weng, Pei Ze had used his Eye of Omniscience to analyze it, mastering it in less than a day.

The truly difficult part was acquiring the various materials needed to create the space. Not only did it cost him over two hundred thousand Magic Stone Coins, but he also had to use the three Starry Sky Stones he had acquired in the Shadow Realm.

And that was just to create a simple demi-dimensional space. If he had wanted to add functions like defensive measures, the cost would have increased exponentially.

Take the Tower of the Holy Ring, for example. The resources consumed to construct its internal space must have been an astronomical figure.

"It’s already wonderful!"

Tining’s face was full of joy, and her gaze toward Pei Ze softened.

"I’m glad you’re satisfied. You can all stay here for the time being. Once I’ve built my Wizard Tower, you can move in there," Pei Ze said.

Tining, of course, had no objections.

From the moment she had agreed to accept Pei Ze’s help and leave the Ancient Forest Plane, she had entrusted her fate and that of her entire clan to him.

"If you need anything, just tell Nymph."

Pei Ze added this one last instruction, then turned to leave.

Just then, Nymph suddenly said, "Master, while you were away, Lord Tao Ping came to visit."

Pei Ze stopped in his tracks. "Did he say what it was about?" he asked.

Nymph shook her head. "No, only that I should inform him as soon as you returned."

Pei Ze understood. He thought for a moment, then said, "Go and inform him now."

"Yes, Master."

Pei Ze suddenly remembered something and asked, "How is Mo Ying?"
