Chapter 404: Chapter 210: Furious and Blazing, the Powerful Lightning Element
"Step back. I’ll handle these three."
Pei Ze said calmly. Before Tining could reply, his body was already wreathed in brilliant lightning as he shot toward the enemy like a thunderbolt.
BOOM!
A thunderous sonic boom ripped through the void.
This was the first time Pei Ze had gone all out since he advanced to Elemental Mage.
At some point, his entire body had turned translucent. Countless arcs of lightning flashed and darted within, growing ever brighter as they condensed a terrifyingly destructive power.
Faint specks of silver light were visible amidst the flashing lightning.
It was the Silver Star, fused as one with Pei Ze, along with his burning Alchemy Engraving.
After his advancement, Pei Ze had been busy consolidating his power and brewing potions, so he hadn’t had time to evolve the Silver Star into a Tier Five Witchcraft Artifact.
But even as a Tier Four Peak artifact, the Silver Star’s power was no less than that of an ordinary Tier Five Witchcraft Artifact.
With the Silver Star’s fusion, the lightning shrouding Pei Ze grew even more intense.
As for the Alchemy Engraving, merely activating it no longer had a significant effect on Pei Ze; the boost to his combat power was limited.
Only by burning it could he achieve a significant amplification of his power.
With the twofold enhancement from the Silver Star and the burning Alchemy Engraving, Pei Ze’s control over lightning had reached an astonishing level.
The dense thunder element saturated every inch of space for miles around.
Trapped within this field, Owltree, the Rainbow Tree Rope Demon, and the Flame-toothed Giant Elephant felt a tingling numbness on their skin, under constant assault from the lightning.
The thick serpents of electricity and orbs of lightning plasma rushing toward them left the trio struggling to fend them off, putting them in a sorry state.
"Damn it! What is with this guy?!"
Owltree was horrified.
When it first sensed from Pei Ze’s life aura that he was young, it had been secretly pleased. It assumed he was just an Elemental Mage who had recently advanced—most likely one of the Star Realm Alliance’s Chosen.
Such Elemental Mages lacked deep reserves of power and were much easier to deal with.
Besides, they had three beings with Fourth-level Combat Power on their side.
They might have to pay a price, but victory would surely be theirs.
But reality had dealt it a harsh slap in the face.
Only after they truly clashed did Owltree realize with horror that this young Elemental Mage’s strength far exceeded its expectations.
He was hardly any weaker than those veteran Elemental Mages!
For him to fight one against three and still hold the upper hand... it was simply inconceivable!
The Flame-toothed Giant Elephant and the Rainbow Tree Rope Demon were also cursing their luck.
The young Elemental Mage before them hadn’t even used a single spell. His entire being seemed to have become lightning itself; even his eyebrows and the tips of his hair flickered with bright, thread-like arcs of electricity.
With every flash of brilliant light, he would instantly teleport to a new position, simultaneously evading their attacks and launching another of his own.
Teleport, attack. Teleport, attack. His offense was as smooth as flowing water, without the slightest pause or opening.
He didn’t even need to defend himself, because they couldn’t so much as touch the hem of his clothes.
Instead, one ball of lightning after another burst from his hands, pouring down on them like an endless, torrential storm!
Savage, dancing serpents of electricity writhed about, linking into chains, beams, and nets. They flashed with brilliant light before exploding violently. The attacks were simple, almost monotonous, yet they perfectly embodied the swift and ferocious nature of lightning.
From a distance, Tining watched, completely dumbfounded.
At first, she had thought Pei Ze would surely be at a disadvantage against three opponents and that she would have to help him.
But when she prepared to jump in, she was stunned to find there was no room for her to intervene.
Pei Ze seemed to have become lightning incarnate, single-handedly suppressing the three Fourth-level Powerhouses to the point where they couldn’t even fight back.
Tining was utterly shaken by his power.
"So, Pei Ze has become this powerful..."
The Half Deer Maiden murmured, her eyes sparkling as she watched Pei Ze’s figure leap and flash across the battlefield like a bolt of lightning.
BOOM!
Struck by lightning yet again, the battered and bruised Rainbow Tree Rope Demon let out another piercing shriek.
It was the weakest of the three, so Pei Ze had focused his main attacks on it.
Owltree and the Flame-toothed Giant Elephant could both see that Pei Ze intended to eliminate the Rainbow Tree Rope Demon first.
But knowing this was one thing; they were powerless to stop him.
Lightning was known for its ferocious speed, and the thunder element was the only one that boasted both immense speed and attack power. As a result, Thunder Element Mages were inherently a cut above other Wizards of the same level.
Furthermore, they were up against a freak of nature like Pei Ze. It was a miracle they had lasted this long.
Seeing the Rainbow Tree Rope Demon on the verge of collapse, Owltree gritted its teeth and snarled at the Flame-toothed Giant Elephant, "Flame-Tooth, if you keep holding back, you won’t escape either once Rainbow and I are dead!"
The Flame-toothed Giant Elephant hesitated for a moment, then gritted its teeth and spat out an irregular, fiery-red crystal.
Pei Ze caught a glimpse of it from the corner of his eye and froze for a fraction of a second.
"What a dense fire element aura!"
He immediately realized what it was: the core left behind by a dead fire Elemental Creature.
And a high-level one at that—it must have come from a fourth-level creature.
After spitting out the fiery-red crystal, the Flame-toothed Giant Elephant uttered a series of deep syllables. Instantly, countless arcane runes appeared out of thin air, wrapping the crystal. They pulsed a few times like a beating heart, then suddenly exploded.
CRACK!
The intense energy fluctuation instantly tore a rift in the void. A giant, fiery hand shot out like lightning and snatched the fiery-red crystal.
"ROAR!"
A low roar echoed from beyond the rift.
