Chapter 325: Chapter 188: Completely Eradicated, the Godly Abomination of the Dark Territory (Part 2)
Of the six Level 3 Wizards, only two remained, and both were wounded.
The situation had taken a drastic turn.
"You little bastard, die!"
With a savage roar, the old man’s face contorted. He opened his cavernous maw and lunged, trying to bite Pei Ze.
The remaining Wizards snapped back to their senses and charged at Pei Ze.
By now, they no longer dared to underestimate him.
Who could have imagined he’d wipe out over half their number in a single exchange?
’Who knows what other trump cards Pei Ze has up his sleeve? If we let him continue, there’s no telling what the consequences will be.’
They had to kill him. Now!
Pei Ze sneered at the murderous horde charging toward him and, without a moment’s hesitation, ignited his Alchemy Engravings.
Silver Body!
Energy Force Field!
Dazzling silver patterns surfaced on Pei Ze’s skin, only to be quickly overlaid by an even more brilliant silver sheen.
The instant the silver-star fusion completed, scorching lightning engulfed Pei Ze, transforming him into a three-meter-tall Thunder Giant!
With his promotion to Tier Five Legendary Knight and the recent growth of his Spiritual Power, the number of Lightning Runes Pei Ze could withstand had skyrocketed.
He was now empowered by a staggering four hundred twenty-eight Lightning Runes!
A ferocious, violent aura saturated the sky, so potent that the skin of the nearby Pei Family Wizards began to tingle, a paralyzing numbness creeping into their limbs.
They were utterly horrified!
BOOM!
Amidst a deafening thunderclap, lightning converged in Pei Ze’s palms, forming a spear in each hand.
The next moment, he raised both hands high and violently hurled the spears forward.
With a loud CRACK, two streaks of lightning seemed to flash through the void, tearing across the heavens.
Wherever the lightning passed, the Wizards of the Pei Family were torn to shreds and annihilated by the rampaging electricity. Some Level 1 Wizards were even vaporized on the spot.
That single strike claimed the lives of over twenty more Wizards.
Pei Ze didn’t pause. He extended his right hand, and a dense flurry of lightning spikes materialized, sweeping outward like a metallic storm.
Against an all-out Pei Ze, the Pei Family Wizards stood no chance.
Even when they summoned foul creatures, they only lasted a few moments before being riddled with holes by the spikes or charred to a crisp by the lightning.
Conversely, their own desperate attacks couldn’t even scratch him, blocked firmly by his outer Energy Force Field.
In its ignited state, the Energy Force Field could barely be breached even by two Level 3 Wizards attacking with all their might.
And beneath that Energy Force Field lay multiple other layers of defense: Thunder Armor, Mage Armor, and Elemental Power.
The strength of Pei Ze’s defenses drove them to despair!
After what felt like an eternity, the old man jolted back to his senses. He scanned his surroundings and was horrified to find not a single other Pei Family Wizard left standing.
Other than himself, the more than eighty Wizards of the Pei Family had been completely annihilated.
The old man’s heart seized. An irrepressible, profound terror surfaced in his now-slit pupils.
’How did it come to this?’
’We clearly had the overwhelming advantage, both in numbers and in strength. So how could we be nearly annihilated by a single Second-level Wizard?’
’This completely shatters my entire understanding of the world!’
But no one was there to answer his question.
As the old man watched in terror and despair, a sky-rending tide of lightning surged forward and completely engulfed him.
Soon, another charred corpse lay on the ground.
After dispatching the last enemy, Pei Ze immediately dispersed the lightning from his body and deactivated the silver-star fusion.
This ultimate form greatly increased his power, but the cost was terrifying.
In less than two minutes, over half of his 264 units of Spiritual Power had been drained.
"Go. See if there are any survivors."
Pei Ze commanded Wuyu, which let out a cry, flapped its wings, and flew off.
Meanwhile, the three thousand-odd surviving Fog Crows flew toward the surrounding buildings.
The search revealed that, apart from a few Magical Creatures, not a single member of the Pei Family remained alive in the settlement.
Pei Ze surveyed the field of corpses, and an inexplicable weight lifted from his mind.
From this day forward, the Pei Family Bloodline Clan was completely erased from the world.
He had finally avenged his predecessor, settling the karmic debt.
’Time to go back.’
Pei Ze let out a wistful sigh and turned to leave.
He had already collected the bodies in his dimensional bag, planning to exchange them for bounty rewards later.
Though many of the Pei Family Wizards’ bodies had been disintegrated in the battle, over thirty remained. Exchanging them for forty or fifty thousand merit points shouldn’t be a problem.
...
「Rainbow Inn.」
When Pei Ze reached his room, he found Su Ya and Peng Yan waiting in the hallway.
The two of them breathed a sigh of relief when they saw him return.
To be honest, they had been extremely worried when they learned that Pei Ze had gone to the Netherworld Plain.
Setting aside the dangers of the Dark Realm, they weren’t sure if Pei Ze could handle all the Pei Family Wizards on his own.
Fortunately, he had returned safely in the end.
"Sir..."
Su Ya stepped forward, but hesitated to speak.
Peng Yan scratched his head, looking like he wanted to ask something but didn’t quite dare.
Pei Ze smiled slightly. "Don’t worry," he said. "I’ve taken care of everyone from the Pei Family."
Even though they had vaguely expected it, hearing Pei Ze say it himself still sent a jolt of shock through Su Ya and Peng Yan.
’Just like that? They’re all gone?’
’The Pei Family had a full hundred fugitive Wizards. Even if Pei Ze had killed over a dozen before, that still left eighty or ninety of them—enough to overwhelm a Level 3 Crystalized Wizard by sheer numbers alone.’
’It’s hard to imagine how Pei Ze could have possibly killed so many Wizards.’
Even though they had always known Pei Ze was capable of creating miracles, they were still completely stunned.
