Age of Wizards: I Can Analyze All Things
Chapter 291 - 173: Complete Power of Death, Intelligence on the Thunder Abyss Giant
Chapter 291: Chapter 173: Complete Power of Death, Intelligence on the Thunder Abyss Giant
Pei Ze patted Wuyu’s head and smiled. "Tong Ming will continue to collect crow-type Magical Creatures. Your power will keep growing for a while, so you need to adapt quickly."
"CAW!"
Wuyu let out a cry in understanding.
...
「The next day.」
Pei Ze was in the backyard herb garden, checking on the condition of his rare plants, when he saw a silver butterfly fly in from outside.
The familiar aura on it made his expression shift slightly.
’A letter from my mentor.’
Pei Ze quickly caught the butterfly. With a flash of light, it transformed into a letter.
A slight smile touched his lips as his eyes swept over the letter’s contents. He immediately left his residence and hurried to High Tower Academy.
As soon as Pei Ze arrived at the Potion House, Mo Weng handed him a map.
"This map shows the location of the Thunder Abyss Giant tribe."
Pei Ze opened it and froze.
"The Shadow Realm!"
"What is it?" Mo Weng looked at him. "Is there a problem?"
"No."
Pei Ze shook his head, a strange look on his face.
’It seems I have to go to the Shadow Realm after all.’
Seeing his reaction, Mo Weng didn’t press the issue. He flicked his wrist, and a dimensional bag drifted down in front of Pei Ze.
"This is your reward from the Council. As you requested, it’s all Faith Crystals and Purified Soul Crystals."
Pei Ze opened it to find a full one hundred Faith Crystals and fifteen Purified Soul Crystals.
He was stunned. The contents were worth nearly 280,000 merit points; the Council had been incredibly generous.
’It seems the Council benefited greatly from purging the Pei Family.’
Pei Ze was delighted.
He had planned to wait until his Divine Thought Potions sold to recoup his funds. Then he was going to order more Faith Crystals from Tao Ping to continue production. But now, it seemed that wouldn’t be necessary.
These one hundred Faith Crystals were enough for him to brew nearly three hundred vials of Divine Thought Potion.
’Looks like money won’t be an issue for a while,’ Pei Ze thought ecstatically.
The Shadow Realm was filled with dangers, so he needed to be fully prepared before heading there.
For example, he needed to enhance Silver Star to its evolutionary threshold.
And he also needed to stockpile enough Purified Soul Crystals.
Both of these tasks, however, required a vast amount of money.
But now, all he had to do was brew these Faith Crystals into Divine Thought Potions, and all his problems would be solved.
"Thank you, Mentor." Pei Ze suppressed his excitement and bowed slightly to Mo Weng.
"You’ve earned it," Mo Weng said with a wave of his hand. "Do you plan on entering the Shadow Realm?"
"Yes." Pei Ze nodded without hesitation.
The Netherworld Crows and Thunder Abyss Giants would both be a great help in increasing his strength. He had to go to the Shadow Realm.
Seeing that he was resolute, Mo Weng simply nodded. "Be careful," he said, and left it at that.
...
In the days that followed, Pei Ze returned to his fulfilling routine of simultaneously cultivating and brewing potions.
Aside from his daily cultivation, he spent nearly all his remaining time brewing Divine Thought Potions.
After more than half a month, he had finally converted all one hundred Faith Crystals into Divine Thought Potions, yielding a total of three hundred and three vials.
He kept one hundred of the higher-quality vials for his own use and sold the rest.
After deducting the cost of materials, Pei Ze’s profit came to over 1.8 million Magic Stone Coins. It was, without a doubt, the wealthiest he had been since becoming a Wizard.
After that, however, the money began to flow like water.
First, he had to purchase the combination of metals needed for Silver Star’s evolution.
Twelve standard units of the metal combination cost nearly 200,000 Magic Stone Coins.
With a wave of his hand, Pei Ze bought it all in one go.
However, he only had Silver Star absorb eleven standard units, bringing its enhancement level to +29, right at the evolutionary threshold.
After all, his current Spiritual Power wasn’t high enough to wield a Tier Four Witchcraft Artifact as a regular weapon—even if Silver Star’s consumption rate was lower than that of a typical one.
To use a Tier Four Witchcraft Artifact normally, he would have to wait until he broke through to second-level crystallization.
Next were the Purified Soul Crystals.
Including the fifteen Purified Soul Crystals from the Council’s reward, Pei Ze had a total of sixteen on hand.
By his estimates, he needed at least five more to ensure his cultivation efficiency wouldn’t be hindered before he broke through to second-level crystallization.
As for his cultivation needs after that breakthrough... Pei Ze estimated he likely wouldn’t be in the Shadow Realm for two whole years.
Purified Soul Crystals were much more expensive than Faith Crystals. Even with a discount from the Travelers’ Association, one cost around 130,000 Magic Stone Coins.
Five of them would cost 650,000 Magic Stone Coins!
On top of that, he needed materials for his Alchemy Engravings.
To avoid a situation where he burned his Alchemy Engravings and couldn’t find materials to re-imprint them, Pei Ze simply prepared five sets of materials for each type of Alchemy Seal. This ensured he wouldn’t have any material-related worries in the Shadow Realm.
And that cost him another six hundred thousand-plus Magic Stone Coins.
After his shopping spree, the 1.8 million-plus Magic Stone Coins he had just earned had barely warmed his pockets before dwindling to a mere 300,000.
’Easy come, easy go.’
Pei Ze sighed, then summoned the Eye of Omniscience to check his stats.
[Spirit: 205.25]
[Constitution: 176.34]
’My Constitution’s growth rate is slowing down. I estimate I’ll need to reach around 200 energy levels before the All-Knowing Breathing Technique can reach the eighth layer,’ Pei Ze mused.
After the seventh layer, each breakthrough in the All-Knowing Breathing Technique would increase his rank by an entire realm.
The eighth layer meant a breakthrough to Tier Five Legend.
Although his Constitution had surged thanks to the Giant Hunt Potion, he was still a long way from a breakthrough.
His current Constitution growth relied almost entirely on external enhancements or the passive strengthening that came with increases in his Spiritual Power. If he relied solely on the gains from the All-Knowing Breathing Technique, it might take him two or three years to break through from Tier Four to Tier Five.
Now, if all went well, he could cross that threshold in four or five months at most.
At Pei Ze’s current level, the main benefit of a breakthrough in his Knight rank was that his enhanced Constitution and Power of Thunder Element would allow him to withstand more Lightning Runes.
That was the primary reason he valued his Knight rank.
Shaking himself from his thoughts, Pei Ze walked out of the Magic Laboratory.
It was late February, and the sun was shining brightly.
When he reached the front courtyard, Pei Ze saw Su Ya and Peng Yan training.
After consuming a large amount of Giant Hunt Potion, Su Ya had finally broken through to the Tier Three Legendary Realm and chosen to enhance her Power of Fire Element.
Combined with the boost from the Flame Potion, her Power of Fire Element was now on par with that of a Tier Four Legendary Knight.
Furthermore, Su Ya’s Will Runes had increased to eleven, putting her just one step away from becoming a Third-level Wizard Apprentice.
Once she broke through to Third-level Wizard Apprentice and mastered enough One-Ring Spells, she would have no trouble holding her own against a Tier Four Legendary Knight.
As for Peng Yan, his strength had advanced by leaps and bounds.
According to the Eye of Omniscience, his Constitution had already surpassed 50 energy levels and was now approaching 60. His combat prowess was not far behind that of a Tier Four Legendary Knight.
Pei Ze watched them, nodding in approval.
The two of them now both possessed the strength to fight an Official Wizard.
If that weren’t the case, he wouldn’t dare bring them into the Shadow Realm with him.
After watching for a moment, Pei Ze turned to leave. He extended his senses and located Xiaoyi in a guest room on the second floor.
The little creature was hiding in a closet, playing hide-and-seek with the Flower Fairies. When Pei Ze found her, she protested with a few indignant chirps.
"I’m going to the Shadow Realm soon," Pei Ze said bluntly. "Do you want to stay here or come with me?"
The little creature froze for a moment, and then her expression soured.
’Why are we leaving again? We just got back!’
’I’ve only been enjoying this for two months!’
But despite her grumbling, the little creature still chose to go with Pei Ze.
She couldn’t bear the thought of being separated from Pei Ze for several months.
Pei Ze ignored the little creature’s muttering, smiled, and let her go back to her game.
As he watched the little creature fly out of the room, looking for a new hiding spot, the image of a graceful figure suddenly flashed through Pei Ze’s mind.
’Come to think of it, I haven’t seen Tining in a long time. I wonder how she’s doing.’
An idea struck Pei Ze.
’Should I go see the Half Deer Maiden one more time before I leave?’
