Chapter 2201: Chapter 2205: What Are We Betting On
"Boyfriend?" Mo Wen’s gaze swept over her slightly reddened eyes.
"What are you talking about, he’s totally not my type." Mo Bei curled her lip and strode toward the door.
"Where are you going?"
"To the shooting range, you coming?" Mo Bei stopped in her tracks.
"Wanna have a match?" Mo Wen walked over.
"What’s the bet?" Mo Bei asked with a smile.
"If you lose, you have to tell me the story between you and Jiao Yang," Mo Wen said.
"Boring." Mo Bei rolled her eyes at him and strode out the door. "You’re nosier than a woman. I want to practice by myself, not compete with you."
He was afraid it wasn’t that she didn’t want to compete with him, but that she didn’t want to bring up whatever had happened between her and that Jiao Yang?
Mo Wen walked to the window and watched Mo Bei head to the range behind the building. Moments later, gunshots were already ringing out.
Her performance was far from ideal. The first few shots could only be described as terrible; she didn’t even bother to aim, just fired off rounds at will. Mo Wen could tell her mood was in turmoil.
Ever since they were kids, Mo Bei had always been the one all the boys chased after. When they were little, Mo Wen had no idea how many fights he’d gotten into just to protect her.
The gifts she’d received were countless too—from small things like flowers and pets to big ones like gemstones, villas, sports cars...
But aside from him and Mo Wenxiu, this was definitely the first time in his memory that she’d given a gift to another man.
Looks like this Jiao Yang... is something else.

On the outskirts of Rome City, in a dilapidated factory building.
Leng Zirui lifted his foot and kicked away an empty soda can by his leg, cursing under his breath, "Late again!"
Of course, it was all just for show.
Luo Jun and the others had never come here at all. Leng Zirui had only done this to lure Ah Ke and his men away from the hotel so that Ah Jiu would have the chance to get Xu Xia out.
He glanced at his watch. They’d been out for over an hour now. Ah Jiu should have wrapped things up by this point, right?
"Sir, should we... head back first?" Ah Ke suggested carefully.
"Mm." Leng Zirui answered with feigned impatience, "Let’s go back."
They got back in the car, and just as the driver started the engine, Leng Zirui’s phone rang.
Leng Zirui took out his phone, saw an unfamiliar number on the screen, and answered in puzzlement.
"Hello?"
"Mr. Leng, it’s Ah Jiu. Sorry to bother you, but Miss Xu is missing. Please don’t ask yet, I’ll give you a quick rundown." Ah Jiu took a breath. "When we got to the room, the door was already ajar. Once we went in, Miss Xu was nowhere to be seen. We’ve already asked the front desk; they said they didn’t see her leave. We searched the entire hotel and still couldn’t find her. My guess is she left through the underground parking lot."
"You’ve got the wrong number!" Leng Zirui let his hand drop as he hung up, then immediately barked, "Back to the hotel!"
Hearing that he was in a foul mood, everyone in the car didn’t even dare breathe too loudly, and the driver hurried to step on the gas.
They’d all followed ROY for a long time and knew that although he usually looked all smiles and harmless, once he lost his temper, the only word for it was terrifying.
Leng Zirui gripped his phone so hard that the casing creaked, nearly cracking under his fingers.
He’d thought this time they could send her away smoothly, but he hadn’t expected another problem to crop up.
Did she leave on her own, or did someone take her?
