A full cup of black traditional medicine was held in Qin Mobai’s hand, placed right in front of Lou Xi.

She knew there was no escaping it today, but she still made a final struggle.

“Can I at least drink a little less? This stuff tastes terrible, unbearably bitter.” Lou Xi blinked her eyes at Qin Mobai, hoping this man would have a sliver of compassion.

However, the man showed no intention of relenting and insisted that Lou Xi drink it.

“Alright, alright, I’ll just drink it all, whatever, it’s just a bit bitter…”

As Lou Xi said this, she watched him take a big gulp of the medicinal brew from the glass!

“This medicine was for me…” Moreover, it was meant to nourish; why did Qin Mobai need to drink it?

But when Lou Xi least expected it, the man fed it to her!

That huge gulp of medicinal brew was forced down Lou Xi’s throat like that, and she instantly felt hopeless about life!

Just as she was about to run out of breath, Qin Mobai loosened his hold a bit, letting her breathe fresh air.

This time was no exception, as Lou Xi almost ran out of breath, Qin Mobai released her, watching her gulp down fresh air.

While Lou Xi was adjusting, she saw Qin Mobai take another big gulp of the medicinal brew.

Lou Xi hurriedly shook her head, but it was too late, this man seemed to have fallen in love with this way of feeding medicine.

Lou Xi was silently suffering yet feeling incredibly sweet.

Bittersweet might be the best way to describe Lou Xi right now.

Qin Mobai, satisfied, held Lou Xi as they headed up the stairs.

“Turns out, this medicine is really quite bitter.” Qin Mobai said casually.

“You knew it was bitter and still made me drink it all! Can’t I drink a little less or maybe not at all in the future?” Lou Xi pleaded.

“Hmm… in the future, after you take the medicine, eat some candied fruit, and it won’t be bitter.”

Lou Xi had just thought Qin Mobai was agreeing that she wouldn’t have to take the medicine anymore, but he was talking about eating candied fruit after taking it to get rid of the bitterness.

“You bad man!”
