After Marrying 5 Yandere Wives, I Obtained a 10,000x Return System
Chapter 351: The Dragon Princess Has a Demigod Grandmother?!
The instant those words left Rhaenyra’s mouth, Luke’s clone froze behind the building, because until this moment, he had genuinely believed that Shadow of Nyx was practically flawless when it came to hiding the difference between the original body and the doppelganger.
After all, Shadow of Nyx didn’t create an ordinary illusion or some hollow copy, but brought forth another real version of Luke recorded within the Void, which was precisely why even those who interacted with the clone directly usually couldn’t distinguish it from the original.
However, as that thought crossed his mind, Luke suddenly remembered one important detail that he kept overlooking whenever he became too confident in his Titan abilities.
‘I’m not Nyx.’
Nyx had taken this racial ability and refined it through experience until its usage reached an extreme level, while Luke was still a newly awakened Titan who had inherited the completed ability through the System without possessing the countless years of mastery behind it.
Almost as if the System had been waiting for him to realize that himself, its voice appeared beside him.
[That’s why I’ve told you before that there are always methods capable of breaking or seeing through your Titan abilities, so you actually need to practice them instead of assuming the inherited version will solve everything for you.]
Luke’s clone remained silent while the System continued.
[It’s good that you keep developing new attack techniques, but sometimes you forget that your Titans possess abilities beyond direct destruction, and many of those abilities have far more uses than simply hitting something harder.]
There really wasn’t anything Luke’s clone could say against that, and even if the original body had been standing here instead, he probably wouldn’t have found a convincing argument either.
Luke had always been obsessed with obtaining greater destructive power, especially techniques capable of defeating opponents above his realm, but that obsession had also caused him to neglect several abilities whose value couldn’t be measured purely by how much damage they caused.
Meanwhile, high above Blackstone, Aurielle stared at Rhaenyra with obvious disbelief before slowly turning her gaze toward the building where Luke’s clone was hiding.
“This isn’t Luke?” Her expression became visibly baffled as the realization settled in. “I’ve been spending all this time with Luke’s clone?”
Rhaenyra released a quiet sigh after seeing her reaction.
‘So she really didn’t know.’
That only created another question in Rhaenyra’s mind, because if the person Aurielle had been living with was merely a clone, then where had the real Luke disappeared to?
Even her Golden Chain pointed toward the Luke hiding below, making the situation more confusing, yet Aurielle reached her own conclusion much faster.
‘He went to that pink-haired bitch.’
Selene’s face immediately appeared in her mind, along with the invitation she had previously gotten, inviting Luke to accompany her if he could.
Aurielle’s expression gradually became colder.
‘My husband has been spending time with another woman while leaving a clone here with me…’
Just thinking about it made anger surge through her chest, and when her gaze returned to Rhaenyra, another thought followed immediately.
‘And now another bitch has come here to take him away.’
Unfortunately for Rhaenyra, she was the only one currently standing in front of Aurielle, which made deciding where to direct that anger extremely simple.
“Attack!”
Aurielle’s command echoed through the air without warning, startling even Rhaenyra for a brief moment, although before the Dragon Princess could properly react, a quiet voice reached her from the side.
“Dream Prison.”
Purple dream energy flickered around Theia as she activated her S-Rank Origin Skill and directed the mental prison straight toward Rhaenyra.
However, the result was completely different from what she expected.
Nothing happened.
There wasn’t even a moment where Rhaenyra’s consciousness appeared to waver, and Theia’s expression immediately changed as she realized that Dream Prison had failed to properly take hold.
At the same time, Rhaenyra finally turned her golden gaze toward her.
“Hmm?”
She looked over Theia for a moment before her attention moved across the other women standing around Aurielle.
“Now that I’m actually looking properly, Luke has gathered quite a lot of women around his him.”
She seemed considerably more interested in that discovery than in the mental attack Theia had just attempted against her.
The reaction left the others baffled, because Theia’s Dream Prison was an S-Rank Origin ability wielded by a genuine B-Rank Arcane Core Mage, and against opponents within her own general level, the technique was powerful enough that even those with strong wills normally had to actively resist or escape from it.
Rhaenyra, however, hadn’t resisted.
The ability simply hadn’t caught her at all.
Theia’s face slowly lost its color as the most obvious conclusion appeared in her mind.
“She’s A-Rank.”
Silence immediately spread among the people closest to her.
Even Aurielle’s anger faltered for a moment as horror appeared across her face, because there wasn’t a single person currently inside Blackstone capable of confronting an A-Rank existence.
Rhaenyra noticed their reactions, although she showed little interest in explaining herself, because the reason behind her new strength had occurred only several days earlier.
***
A few days ago, within the Dragon Continent, Rhaenyra stood among the scorched remains of another monster that had attempted to enter the territory entrusted to her by her father.
Scarlet flames still burned across portions of the ground while smoke drifted through the air, yet Rhaenyra barely paid attention to the corpse as she brushed some dust from her clothes.
“Sigh, that old geezer is really killing me with boredom.”
Her father had given her this territory and ordered her to protect it for an entire year, which Rhaenyra considered incredibly tedious, especially when most of the creatures foolish enough to invade couldn’t even entertain her for long.
At least something worthwhile had happened during that time.
Only a few days earlier, she had finally broken through the boundary that had held her back and stepped into A-Rank, officially becoming an Ancient Dragon.
Rhaenyra had barely finished thinking about that achievement when a pair of arms suddenly wrapped around her from behind.
“Ohh, my little dragon! I missed you so much!”
Rhaenyra’s body stiffened for an instant before recognition immediately replaced her surprise.
“Grandma?!”
She quickly turned her head, because the last thing she remembered hearing was that her grandmother had entered seclusion while searching for some kind of cosmic answer, which meant Rhaenyra hadn’t expected to see her here of all places.
Zephyrielle Arkanthyr merely continued holding her granddaughter with obvious affection.
Seeing her again, Rhaenyra couldn’t help releasing a small sigh, because nobody looking at the woman in front of her would ever believe that she had already lived for thousands of years, much less that she was a genuine demi-god.
Zephyrielle’s long hair flowed behind her in shimmering strands of white mixed with sapphire, giving the impression that moonlight and blue crystal had been woven together, while two elegant dragon horns rose from above her head and immediately displayed the ancient blood flowing through her veins.
Her beauty had barely been touched by age, and even after meeting princesses, queens, and powerful women from different races, Rhaenyra still hadn’t encountered anyone she considered more beautiful than her grandmother.
Normally, seeing Zephyrielle would have made her happy, because among her entire family, her grandmother had always been one of the people who supported and spoiled her the most.
Unfortunately, Rhaenyra knew exactly what was about to happen.
