Chapter 265: He Prayed It Wasn’t Luke… But It Was!

After stepping outside, they found themselves facing a gigantic flying magical ship nearly one kilometer long.

Two massive, wing-like structures extended from both sides of the ship, while a huge blue crystal was embedded right in its center.

’Why don’t they hide that crystal?’ Luke looked at it with confusion.

’If someone targeted that crystal during an attack, it could be destroyed, potentially jeopardizing the safety of the entire crew and all the passengers aboard.’

However, no one else seemed interested in that question.

As everyone’s gaze was fixed on the front of the flying ship.

Where, Twelve people were standing.

’Selene.’

Luke’s gaze also swept across them before immediately stopping on the woman at the very front.

She was a beautiful woman dressed in an elegant noble robe, while her long pink hair flowed gracefully in the wind.

Her mesmerizing red eyes were looking downward, towards the gathered crowd.

’She seems even more beautiful now.’

Seeing her again, a relieved smile appeared on Luke’s lips.

From the side, Isaria noticed his smile.

She then followed his gaze toward Selene—the Vampire Princess and Luke’s wife, the wife of the Hero of Light.

’You aren’t her match at all.’ And only this thought came in her mind, after noticing her beauty.

So a faint sigh escaped from her mouth.

She didn’t even understand why she was thinking such things.

After all, she had only just met Luke.

Yet somehow, those thoughts had already begun appearing in her mind.

And there was no one who could answer the question troubling her heart.

While she was lost in those thoughts, the flying ship finally reached the island.

With a deafening roar, it descended toward the ground.

THOOOOOOM!!!

The moment it landed, the powerful impact sent a gust of wind sweeping across the area.

"Ahh!"

Several nearby students were blown backward.

Because of their excitement, they hadn’t even noticed how close they were standing to the landing area.

"These fools!"

Seeing the scene, several nearby professors immediately face-palmed.

They were making a terrible first impression in front of their guests.

Once the flying ship had landed, the twelve representatives jumped down one after another, landing gracefully on the ground without showing the slightest difficulty.

The principal and vice principal immediately stepped forward to greet them, their faces filled with welcoming smiles.

"Professors, welcome to Horizon Astralis Academy!"

"Thank you for having us."

The human representative returned the greeting with a polite smile.

While the others merely gave a casual hum in acknowledgment.

As for, dragons? they didn’t even bother returning the greeting.

Meanwhile, the elves looked at the Horizon Academy members with undisguised disgust. After all, almost all of them were humans.

If not for academy protocol, they probably wouldn’t have even bothered entering such a lowly place.

Surprisingly, despite all of this, the smiles on the principal’s and vice principal’s faces never disappeared.

They continued the conversation as if nothing had happened, asking about their journey and other matters.

Meanwhile, Luke, Isaria, and Estelle remained standing at the far end.

Clearly, neither of the two women had any intention of going over to greet the representatives.

At least, not yet.

"Sir Luke, I’m surprised your wife hasn’t noticed you yet," Estelle said playfully, clearly trying to find something to relieve her boredom.

"Well, she’s busy," Luke muttered casually, without minding her words.

However, deep inside, he was equally confused.

’Why hasn’t she noticed me yet?’

Seeing Luke’s confusion, the system finally decided to clear up his doubts.

[Luke, after becoming a true Titan, your aura has changed.]

[So, of course, she wouldn’t be able to recognize you unless she specifically focused on you.]

The system paused for a moment, allowing Luke to digest the information before continuing.

[And regarding the Golden Chain bond that you and your wives shared, it was always passively emitting a connection between you.]

[That was why, even among a large crowd, you could easily sense and find each other.]

[However, after those mysterious symbols covered your chains, that passive connection disappeared as well.]

[So, unless she summons her Golden Chain or comes close enough to you, she won’t be able to recognize you.]

’What the hell? There was something like that?’

’You never mentioned this before.’

Hearing Luke’s slightly complaining thoughts, the system immediately chose to remain silent.

After all, it wasn’t some kind of babysitter.

Noticing the system’s silence, Luke understood this once again.

’Well, whatever. I’ll meet her myself.’

With that, he decided to wait for a few moments before approaching her.

"Sir Luke, are you all right?" Isaria asked gently, noticing that Luke seemed somewhat uncomfortable.

’Maybe it’s because Selene hasn’t come over to him.’ and this thought came into her mind.

"I am fine, Lady Isaria."

Luke simply smiled at her before turning his attention toward the front again.

"Okay."

Seeing, that he didn’t want to talk about this, Isaria lowered her hand and murmured softly.

Meanwhile, among the group of representatives, one vampire looked around with an irritated expression.

’Why are these bloodbags talking so much?’

Marius Duskraven was growing increasingly annoyed by the endless chatter, but he still remained silent.

After all, those two were A-Rank beings, and with his peak C-Rank cultivation, he wouldn’t dare to argue with them.

Even though his family had beings far stronger than those two, he still knew better than to cause trouble here.

So, while slowly fixing his long silver hair, he casually glanced around—

—and suddenly froze.

Then his eyes widened with shocked.

Someone was present here whom he had never wanted to see.

*The Hero.*

Luke was standing with the other two female humans, talking and laughing as though nothing had happened to him.

For a moment, he almost mistook him for someone else.

’No... it can’t be.’ His eyes narrowed, and he carefully focused on that familiar face.

Then his heart sank.

’It’s really him.’

’Luke Voidheart!’

But how did he able to, recognize him just from seeing his face?

Because of the memory crystal from the marriage ceremony.

The recording had spread among almost every noble and wealthy person, and he happened to be one of the unlucky men who possessed a copy.

A copy that contained the scene of Luke marrying five princesses.

So next moment, his expression instantly darkened.

’Damn the Hero! Why is he here?!’ And a curse immediately flashed through his mind.

After all, wasn’t the Hero supposed to be crippled or captured by the Royal Vampires already?

His fingers tightened around a strand of his silver hair.

’Selene’s family members are useless!’

The more he looked at Luke, casually talking and laughing with the others, the more irritated he became.

His jaw clenched. His eyes burned with annoyance.

Then, as if desperately trying to cling to the smallest possibility, another thought entered his mind.

’I hope he isn’t here for her.’

The moment that thought appeared, however, he knew how idiotic it was.

’Of course Luke was here for her.’

’Or why else would he be here?’

Yet he still desperately tried to convince himself otherwise.

’Maybe... it’s just a coincidence.’

Unfortunately, it seemed fate had other plans.

Arwen, a High Elf, suddenly turned his cold gaze toward Luke.

A clear trace of disgust appeared across his handsome face as he looked him up and down.

Then, without bothering to hide his disdain, he asked openly,

"Why is an outsider standing here?"
