After I Died, the Scumbag Went Mad
Chapter 144: Noelle Lynch Was Disfigured by a Dog Bite
Chapter 144: Chapter 144: Noelle Lynch Was Disfigured by a Dog Bite
"Sebastian, Silvia is my daughter, which makes you my son-in-law. Your wife hung her own sister from the rafters! As her elder, I’m telling you, you need to teach her a lesson." Mrs. Lynch tried to say more, but Jude Lynch cut her off. He couldn’t figure out Sebastian Lancaster right now.
Asher tilted his head and looked at me. "How could you hang your own sister from the rafters?"
Jude Lynch visibly sighed in relief. If he was given an out, he would take it.
But then Asher added, with utmost seriousness, "You should have just hung her there to die."
"..." This time, it wasn’t just Jude Lynch who was nearly stunned speechless; even I was taken aback.
’He’s so serious.’
So, I also educated him with utmost seriousness. "Shut up. Don’t do anything illegal."
Asher nodded obediently. "Oh."
"You! Both of you! You’ve gone too far!" Mrs. Lynch’s face flushed with anger.
Jude Lynch also gritted his teeth in fury. "Sebastian Lancaster, you’re just an illegitimate son of the Lancaster family. You still haven’t secured your footing. With Master Lancaster around, it’s not your place to be so arrogant."
Jude Lynch had flown into a rage out of humiliation.
I raised an eyebrow. "Oh my, why are you so worked up?"
"Why don’t we... lock the doors and kill them all," Asher said sinisterly, his voice low.
At the doorway, Assistant Foster, having finished his tasks, walked in.
He obediently moved to shut the door.
Jude Lynch and Mrs. Lynch panicked for a moment. "What-what are you doing?"
"Hmph, I don’t believe he’d actually dare to kill us in broad daylight!" Jude Lynch said, trying to sound brave.
In response, Assistant Foster very seriously pulled Sebastian Lancaster’s psychiatric disability certificate from his coat.
"Apologies, our young master is mentally ill." Assistant Foster sighed.
Now, Jude Lynch was so scared his legs went weak.
Because Asher had picked up the fruit knife from the table.
Mrs. Lynch also grabbed Jude Lynch’s arm in terror, stumbling backward. "Silvia! You’re inciting a mentally ill person to commit murder! Tell him to put down the knife! We can talk this out!"
I put on a helpless expression. "I’m terribly sorry, but his condition isn’t something I can control."
Outside, Noelle, her boyfriend, and their seven or eight bodyguards still hadn’t rushed in.
The Lancaster family’s security was quite good, but ’the sounds I’m hearing are not right.’
Soon, a deafening cacophony of barks erupted from outside, mixed with Noelle’s wretched screams, Ken Abbott’s shrieks, and the roars of several bodyguards.
’Did they... release the dogs?’
I stared at Asher in astonishment.
He was holding an apple in one hand and the knife in the other, slowly approaching Jude Lynch and Mrs. Lynch. "The Lancaster family will give you two hundred million. Cut ties with my wife. From now on, we’ll go our separate ways. How about you stop bothering her?"
He spoke lightly, but his indifference was laced with menace.
Jude Lynch, his face pale with fear, turned to curse at me. "Silvia, we raised you from the age of eighteen until now! Is this how you treat your own parents?"
"Now we’re your ’own parents’?" I laughed. "Silvia returned to this house when she was eighteen. Did you ever truly care about her?"
The diary described how Silvia had acute gastroenteritis, but they thought she was just faking it to get attention, believing that growing up in the countryside made her tough. The pain drove Silvia into shock in the middle of the night. If she hadn’t managed to drag herself out of the Lynn family home on her last breath and been found by a passing security guard, she might have died in agony in that so-called home of hers.
"Forget it, this is too much trouble. Why don’t we just kill them all?" Asher turned and looked at me innocently.
I took a deep breath and said nothing.
This time, the voices of Mrs. Lynch and Jude Lynch trembled with fear.
"Silvia, get this madman away from us, now! Don’t you forget... what you promised me!" Jude Lynch was trying to use the fact that Silvia had intentionally imitated Cecilia Caldwell to get close to Sebastian Lancaster as blackmail.
My expression was indifferent. "I’m terribly sorry, but I’ve forgotten. On my wedding day, your precious daughter drugged me, and so did the Lancaster family’s Dylan Lancaster. The dosage was too high. I couldn’t handle it, so I lost my memory."
Jude Lynch’s mouth twitched with rage.
"Silvia! We’ll act as if we never had a daughter like you! Just get this lunatic to leave!" Jude Lynch blurted out in terror.
"Fine." I nodded.
Outside, Noelle’s hysterical cries tore through the air. "Help! Mom, Dad, save me! AHH!"
’I was a little curious about what was happening outside.’
Seeing that Asher was no longer advancing, Jude Lynch and Mrs. Lynch turned and ran in terror. But when they opened the door, they were met with an even more horrifying sight.
In the yard, a dozen or so dogs... had pinned the seven bodyguards, Noelle, and Ken Abbott to the ground. The stench of blood, the sound of tearing flesh, and the agonizing screams rose and fell, like a scene from hell.
Mrs. Lynch was so frightened by the scene she nearly fainted, her legs giving out as she collapsed to the ground.
Noelle’s leg was caught in a dog’s jaws. She screamed for help, but Ken Abbott was only focused on saving himself. He completely ignored her, allowing another dog to pounce on her and bite her face...
I sucked in a sharp breath. I didn’t know how to stop something like this. The Lancaster family’s bodyguards were already trying to intervene, but the dogs refused to let go.
"Asher..." I whispered his name, afraid someone might be killed.
Asher walked over coolly, placed the peeled apple in my hand, then raised his own to cover my eyes. "Don’t look," he whispered.
I nervously clutched my dress. ’Even though this was Noelle’s just deserts...’
A few of the able-bodied bodyguards had already fled. Ken Abbott had also hidden in a car, not daring to try and save Noelle.
Only Noelle was left alone, surrounded and mauled by the dogs.
Jude Lynch and Mrs. Lynch were terrified. They didn’t dare go closer, just screamed for someone to call the police.
"These are all stray dogs from the neighborhood. Our Master Lancaster has a kind heart and lets us feed them in the backyard. Noelle Lynch came charging in here with her people, provoking them. I’ve already called the police ahead of time. My apologies."
Assistant Foster said unhurriedly.
Before the police cars arrived, the dogs, seemingly hearing something, stopped their attack in unison, turned, and fled. Not a single one was left. And the leader... was actually the cute, large wolf-dog I had seen in the yard of Asher’s villa.
’I thought it was so docile. Turns out it has a side I’d never seen.’
’With that kind of ferocity, could a wolf even beat it?’
"What happened here?" The police rushed in, only to see Noelle Lynch covered in blood, screaming and crying hysterically.
"This woman brought a group of people and forced their way into our home. They didn’t come with good intentions; they were even carrying weapons. The stray dogs that our Master Lancaster feeds were frightened and bit someone. The dogs have run off now, and we tried to stop them as soon as it happened." Assistant Foster stepped forward to handle the situation. "Since we were the ones feeding the strays, the Lancaster Family will cover any and all expenses."
The police quickly called for an ambulance.
Mrs. Lynch and Jude Lynch also ran over, crying, and cradled Noelle.
Noelle had already fainted from shock. Her face was mauled, and she was a complete, wretched mess.
I stood in the doorway, watching the unconscious Noelle, my feelings a complicated mix.
In the diary, it was written that Noelle once had people lock Silvia in a dog cage belonging to the school groundskeeper. She had huddled in the cage, screaming for help all night in terror, but the school was empty. No one came to save her.
It wasn’t until the next day when the groundskeeper came to feed the dog that he found Silvia, who was already on the verge of a mental breakdown, and let her out.
When the matter was brought to the Lynn family, Jude Lynch and Mrs. Lynch defended Noelle, saying their darling couldn’t possibly do such a thing. It must have been Silvia, who grew up wild, who had accidentally locked herself in the dog cage...
’I wonder if this counts as Noelle getting her just deserts.’
’She brought people to trespass on private property and got bitten by dogs. That’s her own problem.’
’Assistant Foster has already stated they will compensate her according to regulations. The pain and disfigurement are consequences Noelle will have to bear herself.’
’What perfect retribution.’
"This is murder! Murder! Officer, this is attempted murder! They sicced the dogs on her intentionally! That Master Lancaster is paralyzed, how could he be raising dogs? It was that madman! That madman!" Mrs. Lynch shrieked, demanding the police arrest Asher.
Asher hid behind me with a frightened look on his face and stared at the police. "They’re so mean... I’m scared."
