After Achieving Invincibility, I Set Out to Destroy Sects
Chapter 96: Activating Secret Treasures
Stepping in front of Ji Cang, Jiang Yun looked down at the elegant man and released his own pressure.
Ji Cang initially felt bewildered by how casually Jiang Yun walked toward him, but that was soon replaced by confusion when Jiang Yun’s pressure overwhelmed his.
"What did you do?" Ji Cang yelled, trying to keep himself on his feet. "Why do I suddenly feel so heavy?"
"I’m just doing the same thing you just did to me."
"Stop it right now!" Ji Cang shouted, dropping down on one knee. "I’m a dignified Immortal Emperor, how dare you bring me to my knees? I’ll kill you."
"Do you even have the strength to do so?" Jiang Yun mocked while increasing the pressure.
"You two, hurry and help me!" Ji Cang screamed, dropping to his hands and knees.
"Are you serious?" the All-Seer laughed while pointing at Ji Cang. "You’re telling me you are forced to kneel by this man without any resistance?"
"Who are you fooling?" Du Lian laughed along. "You are obviously pretending to make us look like fools trying to help you. Just go and finish him off already."
"This is not a joke!" Ji Cang shouted, finally falling down and lying flat. "Hurry and come here before he kills me."
"You are actually serious?" Du Lian asked, having finally stopped laughing. "Is this man actually strong enough to press you down like this?"
"Don’t be fooled," the All-Seer said, throwing his hand out to block the way. "No one in the Immortal world is strong enough to cause Ji Cang to end up like this. He is obviously still pretending."
"You two idiots, come here!" Ji Cang forced out while his body started squeezing out blood. "I swear to the heavens I’m not pretending. If I’m lying, then heaven may strike me down."
The two Immortal Emperors looked at each other, realizing Ji Cang was being serious.
Swearing to heaven was a binding vow that couldn’t be made casually. Breaking such a vow would result in the most agonizing death.
"Let’s go," the All-Seer said, lowering his arm. "We can’t let him die, or else we will be next."
Du Lian nodded, and the two rushed forward to save Ji Cang from being killed by Jiang Yun.
The All-Seer increased his size again and threw a punch encased in golden light. Du Lian took out a parasol Immortal treasure and thrust it forward.
Jiang Yun casually raised both arms and completely blocked both attacks upon contact.
The All-Seer continued to push, but his fist refused to move forward. Du Lian pulled back and thrust again, hoping to break through.
Once again, the parasol was stopped without any damage to Jiang Yun.
"Is this all you have?" Jiang Yun asked, throwing the two attackers back. "If not, then I’ll start by killing this man on the ground first."
The two landed on the ground, confused by what had just happened.
"What are you?" Du Lian shouted as she quickly stood back up on her feet. "Your strength shouldn’t exist in the Immortal world."
"Could you be using a forbidden treasure?" the All-Seer asked, having also gotten back up. "I’ve heard special treasures could temporarily give one the power of a Dao realm powerhouse."
"I’ve heard of this too," Du Lian added, looking closer at Jiang Yun. "I refuse to believe a Dao realm powerhouse would come down to the Immortal realm for no reason, so he can only be using a secret treasure."
"Let’s go and stall for time. He shouldn’t be able to hold on for long when using such a powerful treasure."
"You’re right. Don’t hold anything back and I’ll do the same, or else we both might die."
The All-Seer nodded and took out a hand-sized golden statue.
Injecting Immortal energy in, the statue began to shine and grow in size. Soon, it was as large as a mountain and floated above the open stadium.
Du Lian began taking out talismans and covered her parasol until it was completely encased. The talismans burned, and engravings started etching into the parasol.
The pressure the two treasures gave off increased and began approaching the power of a Beginning Dao realm.
The two looked back at Jiang Yun, who had just waited for them to finish. He casually stood over Ji Cang, who was struggling to breathe.
The All-Seer started first, and his golden statue threw a punch that blocked out the light from the sky. Heavy wind began blowing in the stadium as the punch came down from above.
Du Lian prepared her parasol and was ready to attack at any moment. Staring closely, Du Lian watched Jiang Yun’s every move to look for an opening.
Jiang Yun began raising his hand toward the sky and closed his fingers into a fist. Seeing what seemed like such a casual motion, Du Lian thought Jiang Yun was bluffing.
The next thing she knew, a loud bang could be heard high up in the sky. Looking up, Du Lian saw that the golden statue had been crushed into a large ball of rubble.
Jiang Yun then moved his arm to the side, and the rubble was thrown far off into the distance.
Since the attack failed, Du Lian looked back, unable to wait any longer. Opening her parasol, a large web of energy flew out and began surrounding Jiang Yun.
Du Lian then closed her parasol and began injecting it with Immortal energy. The engraving began lighting up, and the parasol shot from her hands toward Jiang Yun.
With a casual wave, the web of Immortal energy was broken and dissipated. Following close behind the webs, Jiang Yun saw a parasol flying toward him.
Reaching out his arm, Jiang Yun grabbed the parasol that had flown right in front of him. The parasol continued to struggle in his grip before it ran out of energy and was crushed in his hand.
"How could this be?" Du Lian shouted, her legs trembling in fear. "That was my strongest attack."
"That was my best attack too," the All-Seer coughed out, bleeding from his mouth. "The backlash is too strong, so you are on your own."
The All-Seer collapsed to the ground and fell unconscious, leaving Du Lian to continue shivering in fear alone.
"You imbeciles!" Ji Cang yelled, his eyes bloodshot from the crushing force. "You can’t even do something as simple as saving me."
"Then why don’t you do it yourself?" Du Lian cried, falling to her knees, unable to support her weight. "I’ve already exhausted everything I have."
"So, you’re telling me you have nothing left?" Jiang Yun asked, not amused. "I’ve let you run around for so long, and this is all you have? I guess I should stop wasting time and kill you."
"Wait! Wait!" Ji Cang frantically shouted. "I have a card I haven’t used yet. It seems you want a challenge, so I have something that will be worth your time."
"Oh. What would that be?"
"I have a way to call for help in the Dao realm. One of my ancestors left a way to communicate if the sect ever got into trouble."
"Why didn’t you use it earlier?" Du Lian growled, staring intently at Ji Cang. "If you had used it earlier, how would we have ended up in this situation?"
"It's single-use!" Ji Cang growled back. "I didn’t want to use it unless I had to. Not to mention, I can’t use it while being crushed like this."
"Alright, I’ll let you use it," Jiang Yun interjected with a smirk, being somewhat amused. "I want to see your despair when I kill your ancestor."
A moment later, Ji Cang felt the pressure lift from his body.
Finally allowed to taste freedom again, Ji Cang felt relieved and took out a small stone tablet.
Not wasting any time, Ji Cang crushed the tablet, and a beam of light shot into the sky.
The sky began darkening, and a rift began forming overhead. Space tore, and an abyss of darkness began to form in the void.
The rift expanded at an alarming rate and finally stopped once it was the size of a mountain.
In the void, a figure began to descend and was soon out of the rift. When the figure exited the rift, the tear in space began to mend, and the void closed in mere moments.
The figure who descended was a woman with long black hair tied into a high ponytail. Covering her mouth was a veil, but the face behind it was undeniably youthful.
The woman gave off an untouchable feeling, with her cold, unfeeling eyes and a gaze that viewed the world around her as irrelevant.
Around her, the space fluctuated, with her overbearing Dao energy emitting uncontrollably. Looking around, the woman soon spotted the stadium and began flying down.
While descending, the pressure began decreasing little by little and completely disappeared once she landed.
Even without the pressure, the people around remained quiet at the sight of the woman.
"Who was it that called me?" the woman asked, scanning her cold eyes around. "Why have you summoned me?"
