Chapter 2023 2023: Everyone Here Is A Sovereign

Silvan's group advanced slowly, concealing their aura as they did. A few minutes after landing, they encountered a group that looked humanoid but had some distinct features that clearly set them apart from normal humans. First off, these humanoid figures all had teeth like that of canines, and there were what seemed to be whiskers on their faces. Their hairs were very long, for both genders, reaching their waist. What shocked everyone besides Silvan was the fact that all these people were all in the Sovereign Plane, every single one of them. One has to know that there were at least two hundred people in the small village before them, and they were all Sovereigns, even the young ones were not excluded.

The sight of this was nothing short of shocking given the fact that for normal humans, one has to know that only after getting to the age of twelve will one be eligible to check their affinity with any element, and even after that, it is uncertain if they will ever grow to become a Sage Plane Elementalist, much less a Sovereign. In this Small World on the other hand, every single individual was a Sovereign. Grey was literally staring at a baby that should be no older than two years who exuded the aura of a First stage Sovereign.

He could not help walking over to Silvan to inquire, "Do you have any idea why these people are all Sovereigns?"

He had no other option, Silvan's family were the only ones who had explored this place beforehand and he felt maybe they should know a thing or two about the oddity of this place. The thought of even getting a few under his control came to mind, after all, Humans were currently in a perilous state and if they could recruit a large number of Sovereigns, their odds of winning would significantly increase. He did not dwell on the thought of controlling them for long as he did not want to live with the thought of possibly forcing an entire Race to fight for him, especially when they did not offend him in any way.

"No clue, when we reported it back to our Elders, they believed it had something to do with the essence here. I'm sure you've noticed the strangeness?" Silvan asked, to which Grey nodded to, he continued explaining, "Our theory is that for anyone who is born here, they can immediately start absorbing the essence or maybe possibly from within the womb itself. Of course, this is only a theory and we have no way to prove it yet since no one has stayed here long enough to study this Race. However, one thing I can tell you is that every single being born here and with the ability to cultivate is automatically a Sovereign."

Now Grey understood the reason behind the large number of Late stage Sovereigns he noticed on the way here. If these Magical Beasts were already in the Sovereign Plane at the time of their birth, it would not be difficult for them to grow to the Late stages of the Sovereign Plane and even the Peak if given ample time. Now he understood why only those in the Mid stages and above were allowed to come in here. Any Early stage Sovereign will not be able to guarantee their safety if their group were to be attacked. At the thought of being attacked by over a hundred Sovereigns, Grey's scalp tingled. Even for someone with his abilities, he would not want to face such a force.

"We better avoid any conflict with them." He thought out loud.

"It's easier said than done. This is the smallest gathering on our path. We still have to cross a few more, and the senses of these people are on another level." Silvan explained, continuing he added, "The only reason we have not been noticed yet is because of the low number of top experts. Once we move to a more populated area, we will be discovered in a matter of minutes."

Grey's expression turned dark when he heard this. He did not expect this Small World would be this dangerous! Although he is someone who has sneaked into the Gnome World on a few occasions, he was at least confident he would be able to cover his tracks and not be found out. In this Small World though, Silvan was telling them they would be discovered quickly by some top experts.

And it only took three hours for Silvan's words to come true. After passing through that village, they arrived at one slightly larger than that one, with a population of barely five hundred people. Of these five hundred people, there were two Peak Sovereigns, and multiple Late stage Sovereigns.

Boom! Crack!

"Damn it! We have to escape now!" Klaus roared at the sight of his ice wall breaking apart.

"What do you think we're trying to do?" The silver-haired Gareth asked coldly.

"If you hadn't tried to take that flower we would not have been noticed, you scum." Klaus never had a good impression of Gareth, and his actions made his dislike only increase. They were almost out of this place when Gareth saw a flower that had a considerable amount of ice essence stored inside. To be honest, Klaus was also tempted, but when he recalled Silvan's warning about these people, he decided against it. Who would have thought that Gareth was unable to reign in his greed and would try to take it? The second he attempted this, they were discovered.

What infuriated Klaus even more was the fact that Gareth was hiding behind his own ice wall. The ice wall Gareth made was broken apart with a single strike, and he hurriedly rushed to Klaus's side. Not just him, but everyone was standing behind Klaus at the moment, excluding Grey and Silvan. Silvan was a Ninth stage Sovereign who had no problems with handling himself. Grey was a Space Elementalist which made him quite elusive. Even if neither of them could fight against this group, they could keep themselves alive at least.
