Chapter 1955: It Was Accidental!
Chapter 1955: It Was Accidental!
“Kill him!”
Boom!
“Damn it! Klaus!”
Grey’s figure was slammed into the ground beside Klaus.
“Fuck! Don’t come near me!” Klaus exclaimed as he stood up, flying in the other direction, he noticed two Gnomes chasing after him, “He’s the one you want, why are you chasing me?!”
Klaus had been having a good time fighting with a Ninth stage Sovereign, occasionally getting assistance from Reynolds. Things were going well and he was even gaining the upper hand. Never did he imagine that Grey would come with his misfortune.
Grey was being chased by two Ninth stage Sovereigns, and even with his space element, he could not shake them off. He communicated with Klaus, planning to catch the Gnomes by surprise with Klaus’s attack. Who would expect that at the last moment, a Peak Sovereign Gnome would come around and seal the space. With no way to switch places with Klaus to catch them off-guard, the duo were caught in a tight spot. Grey was already very close to him, making it impossible for them to go back on their plan.
Klaus sent out an attack the way of the two Ninth stage Sovereigns, using his heavy water to try to force them back. While Klaus attacked the duo behind Grey, Grey’s target was the Ninth stage Sovereign fighting with Klaus.
The Peak Sovereign Gnome reacted in time, blocking Grey’s attack. The two Ninth stage Sovereigns were forced to stop and block Klaus’s attack, which gave Grey the breathing space he needed.
The Ninth stage Sovereign he thought he could kill with his attack was unscathed thanks to the Peak Sovereign Gnome. The Peak Sovereign Gnome did not stop there, he launched an attack the duo’s way.
Grey scrambled to block the attack, using his heavy water to create a thick ice shield. Klaus noticed the dangerous attack, and followed Grey’s footsteps. His ice shield has a darker shade of blue compared to Grey’s, a sign that it was stronger than Grey’s own.
Grey’s ice shield held up for a few seconds before it fell apart, leaving only Klaus’s ice shield. When the three Ninth stage Sovereigns noticed Klaus’s ice shield was able to stop the Peak Sovereign Gnome’s attack, they exchanged glances before also attacking.
Klaus’s ice shield could not stop the attacks of a Peak Sovereign and three Ninth stage Sovereigns, it fell apart instantly, sending both Klaus and Grey flying.
Grey escaped into the ground with the earth element, hoping to create some distance between him and the Peak Sovereign.
With help, he would gladly fight a Peak Sovereign, alone, he was not confident he could defeat one. This was normal as he was still only an Eighth stage Sovereign.
The Peak Sovereign did not chase after Klaus, his target was Grey. Looking at the crater, he noticed Grey’s missing figure. He had sealed the surrounding space, so there was no way Grey would be able to use the space element to escape. Thinking about it, he looked at the crater, sensing the use of the earth element, he understood why he could not find Grey.
He looked at the Ninth stage Gnome by his side and said, “Go after the other boy, make sure his corpse is complete.”
He was interested in Klaus. Grey was special, nevertheless, he was an Eighth stage Sovereign. Klaus was only in the Seventh stage, yet he was able to block his attack. This proved that Klaus was a top-notch talent. If he could turn him into a Puppet, he would have a magnificent Puppet. He did not have any ideas concerning Grey as all the Half God Plane Gnomes had their eyes on him. It did not take him long to lock onto Grey’s escaping aura. Stretching his hand forward, he slowly closed his palm as if grabbing something and made the gesture of pulling.
A large piece of the ground was uprooted, an over eighty meters wide piece of earth was uprooted. Grey’s moving figure could be seen darting through the earth. The Gnome clenched his fist, and the piece of earth shattered into smithereens, exposing Grey’s figure.
Realizing he had been found, Grey grunted. Lightning arcs flashed across the sky as a bolt of lightning crashed into the figure of the Gnome.
The Gnome did not flinch, with a wave of his hand, a large palm made from the darkness element grabbed the bolt of lightning, squeezing it until it disintegrated. Snickering, he flew towards Grey, attacking with the darkness element.
Two array circles appeared on Grey’s wrist, a Fire Snake made from his blue flames appeared, opening its mouth, it spewed jet of flames at the approaching Gnome.
The Gnome noticed the flames were scorching hot, hotter than any fire he had encountered since he came here. He opted to evade the attack as he did not want to waste any time with the attack. He could only seal the space within a certain range, once Grey leaves that range, he knew it would be almost impossible for him to restrict Grey’s movements again. He was not the first Peak Sovereign who had gone after Grey, none have been able to keep him in one place. Even when they tried to stop him, he would head in the direction of the Human Peak Sovereigns, getting help from them.
Grey might not be familiar with most of the Humans here, however, they all knew how important he was. Any part of the battlefield he gets close to, the Gnomes would all hastily keep their Puppets, giving the Humans breathing space and even a chance to turn the tide. This was the reason some Peak Sovereign Gnomes have been going after Grey. If he continued disrupting their battles in this manner, they would eventually lose.
They spent a lot of effort to sneak into this place, and they thought they would be able to complete this battle without any mishaps. Even when they planned about the Humans getting possible reinforcements, they did not think Grey would be one of them.
The Gnome was shocked when he noticed the direction he was running in, a chilling cold was rushing his way from that direction. The attack was from none other than Klaus who somehow managed to escape the pursuit of all three Ninth stage Sovereign Gnomes, attacking at a time the Gnome did not expect.
The Gnome’s expression darkened, cursing at the three Ninth stage Sovereigns for their incompetence. There was nothing his curses could do at the moment, he had to deal with both Grey and Klaus’s attacks. What he found more hateful was that Klaus attacked from a direction he was already headed, if he tried to halt his attacks, then he would be forced to take Grey’s Fire Snake flames. He did not want to experience the flames, neither did he wish to be faced with Klaus’s chilling energy.
With no other choice, he gritted his teeth and charged at Klaus. He could not go after Grey, since that was the case, he would brave Klaus’s attack and take him out in the process.
Grey’s retreating figure did not stop, shouting in a certain direction, he called for his Teacher, “Teacher, Klaus is in trouble!”
A streak of golden light flashed through the sky, blitzing past Grey almost within a second of his call. The reason Grey rushed in this direction was precisely because he saw his Teacher’s golden streak, knowing the other Peak Sovereigns were occupied and any random Ninth stage Sovereign could not help.
Seeing the Peak Gnome coming his way, Klaus panicked, covering himself in an ice sphere, he apologized, “It was accidental, I didn’t mean it!”
The Gnome snorted, forming a claw with his hand, he wanted to grab Klaus by the neck. He was determined to kill Klaus, so he did not hold back in anyway.
Klaus’s pupils dilated when he saw the Gnome’s claw piercing through his ice sphere.
Just when the Gnome’s hand was about to grab Klaus’s neck, a golden streak dashed through, dragging Klaus away from the hands of the Gnome.
The eyes of the Peak Sovereign Gnome turned cold when he realized he missed his target. Seeing the cause of it, anger rose in his heart. Just like Grey, this figure covered in golden light has been a thorn on their side. In fact, it could be said the reason why those in the Sovereign Plane had not lost all this while is because of this Man. Recalling how Grey addressed him, he was stunned. He could not believe the duo had such a relationship.
He wanted to chase after them, knowing it was impossible, he turned his attention to Grey, only to see the latter flicker away. Grey had gone past the range the space was sealed by the Gnome, and the second he noticed it, he immediately employed his space element and fled further away.
The three Ninth stage Sovereign Gnomes who originally chased after Klaus arrived at this time.
“Fools.” Cursing through gritted teeth, he went after Grey. He could not give up since he was the only one who could contain him.
