Chapter 1915: Gathering Of Experts
Chapter 1915: Gathering Of Experts
The only thing he knew that would have his Teacher confused should be his elements, and as soon as he asked, he saw his Teacher nod.
‘I can’t really explain it, but it has something to do with my parents.’ Grey decided to keep his secret hidden. It was not that he did not trust his Teacher, but the fewer the people who were privy to this information the better. He was not unparalleled in this world, so if any top expert found out about his secret, they could kill him and rob him of the chaos orb.
Grey could tell that the chaos orb has not fully merged with his body yet, a sign that it could still be removed. Although the thought never came to his mind, as he grew stronger, he noticed a small incompatibility with the orb. If his guess was correct, then maybe it will be after he breaks through to the God Plane before he can fully merge with the chaos orb and make it his own.
‘I understand. How many elements can you use?’ Chris did not find it odd that Grey kept it from him, although he was very curious, he knew all geniuses have their secrets, he too, had his own secrets.
‘All eight.’ Grey replied after giving it some thought. There was no point hiding this fact as he was sure he would be discovered doom enough, so he did not see anything wrong with letting someone like this Teacher know beforehand.
Chris’s eyes nearly popped out of his head when he heard this. Even though he was already prepared to hear something like this, it was still a shocking discovery. An Elementalist with all elements is the ultimate weapon. There was no way to counter Grey as he had every single element, making him too versatile.
“Come, I’d like to see how strong you’ve grown.” Chris flew in a certain direction, with Grey following right after.
Thirty minutes later they returned with Chris having a dumbfounded expression on his face. His spar with Grey could not even be called a sparring session, rather, it was just him trying to land an attack while Grey used all his elements to fight back. Although he eventually landed a few strikes, he was shocked by the growth of this Student of his. He still remembered the day Grey picked the Lunar Academy and how curious the latter was about cultivating then.
Calming himself, he decided not to dwell on the matter of his Student surpassing him, it was normal for the Student to surpass the Teacher. He got Grey to cook for him after all this time, complaining about how Grey left him for dead these past few years. Before, Grey still used to send him food via the item they created, but as their distance increased, it became harder and harder to send things over. Grey eventually gave up as no matter how hard he tried to improve the teleportation array, the distance was just too great in most cases. Chris was also aware of this hence the reason he did not haggle him the moment he saw him, but his loss made him remember this.
Grey asked about Chris’s Griffin and found out it was residing in the Trial Lands. He heard about the Principal as well as the two Instructors who were with him. Apparently the duo had a son now and were both Venerables already. According to his Teacher, the duo could eventually get to the Sovereign Plane. However, it was unlikely they would be able to get to the Peak in their lifetime, unless they received a great treasure.
The Principal still is not able to cultivate, and his body was starting to show signs of aging. At the rate he was living, there’s a chance that he might die within the next twenty years.
Grey felt twenty years is long enough for them to find a solution for him. If they can not find something here, then they might be able to get something from the Gnome World or any of the secret worlds around the Aurora Continent.
While they were talking about the Principal, Grey let his Teacher know that Klaus was married, making the latter spit out the wine he was drinking. A dumbstruck expression worn on his face, “You’re sure that punk got married?”
Seeing Grey nod, Chris asked shocked, “To who?”
Grey told him of how he got to know about Klaus and Luthera in the Aurora Continent. Chris listened as Grey cooked, stunned, he could not help but wonder just what the group experienced in the Aurora Continent. Kids leaving their home Continent to try to grow in another Continent is never easy. The duo spoke about their experiences for a long time before Chris recalled something.
“Oh right, your father mentioned you were in need of Gnomes, correct?” Chris asked.
“Yes, did you capture any?” Grey asked eagerly.
“I found one not too far from this place on my way here, and dealt with him. A Sixth stage Gnome, and he is more agile than most of the Gnome’s I’ve faced, luckily I was faster.” Chris said as his eyes glowed golden, showing off his light element. One of the reasons he was feared all those years ago was his light element. The light element was too rare, just as rare as the space element.
Grey smiled before asking where he kept the Gnome. His Teacher led him to the Gnome before leaving him alone, he had caught up with him, asked about all he wanted and saw how much his Student had grown. At the moment, he could tell that Grey had something important to do with a Gnome, so he did not ask any questions.
A few hours later Grey left the Gnome, already in his control. He asked the Gnome a few questions which he refused to answer. Grey did not really care if the Gnome answered or not, all he wanted to do was to put on the act that he was questioning the Gnome.
Grey alerted his father to inform the others of the information.
Later that day.
In a gathering of twelve people, other than Lucas who was present, the Old man who is acquainted with the Bunny Leader was present, as well as Chris and a few others Grey was not too familiar with. Nevertheless, other than himself and his Teacher, every other person in the room was either a Peak Sovereign or a Half God Plane expert.
“How accurate is your information?” One of the unfamiliar men looked at Lucas with a serious gaze. He was one of the Peak Sovereigns, but from his tone and the manner he carried himself, it was easy for anyone to tell that he did not seem to have any reservations towards these Half God Plane experts present here.
“My son is the one who questioned the Gnome and was able to get the information out of it, so I am certain of it.” Lucas replied calmly, he did not mind the manner with which the man spoke to him.
The man turned his gaze to Grey, “Boy, did you not think of the possibility that it is a trap?”
Grey met the man’s stern gaze and replied, “I did, hence the reason I brought it forward.”
Grey could not tell these people how he got the real information, so all he could do was lie he got it while interrogating the Gnome his Teacher brought back.
“The story about how that Gnome was caught seems a bit fishy if you ask me.” The man with the cold expression said, looking around, he added, “Since we were stationed in this place, we have never met them alone before. Do you all find it strange as well?”
“I will admit that it is a bit strange finding one so far out from their settlement.” Lucas spoke up as he saw the others discussing, getting their attention he added, “However, if this is not a trap and in fact true, what would you do if too many of their experts have crossed into our world?”
No one said a word, each keeping shut. They all knew just how powerful these Half God Plane Gnomes were, one of them almost single-handedly wiped out an entire troop of six Peak Sovereigns and One Half God Sovereign from the human race, if not for the Half God Plane expert’s sacrifice, then they would have all died there.
“This is a serious matter and if the Gnome truly knows the location of this portal, the sooner we deal with it the better.” The Old man acquainted with the Bunny Leader spoke after a long silence.
Everyone was thinking about the possibility of this being a trap laid out by the Gnomes. It was normal for them to have such thoughts, after all, it was not every day you find a Gnome in the Sixth stage of the Sovereign Plane privy to such secrets.
