In the center of the crowd, flanked by two Law Enforcement Officers, stood the gray-haired Tan Shanzhong. Clad in a black uniform, he met Lu Chao’s gaze with a frosty expression.

“You really are quite bold.” Tan Shanzhong’s voice was hoarse and low. His gaze swept over the corpses on the ground and his subordinate who was now controlled by Ghost Element. “To dare force your way in here alone.

“Did this Beast King give you the courage? Or do you simply not know that there are gaps in strength even within the Transcendence Level?”

His tone was freezing. The aura of a Peak Transcendence Level expert solidified the air, instantly plunging the entire corridor into a deathly silence. The crowd surrounding him aimed their weapons. Additional firepower modules in the base activated, with rotary gun turrets sliding out from the walls and locking onto the intruder.

“Heh.” Lu Chao offered a flat smile.

He suddenly plunged the black Ink Blade into the ground, piercing the metal floor and leaving it standing upright. The sound of artillery explosions echoed from the surface, causing the underground base to tremble intermittently as the lights in the silver-gray corridor flickered.

“Peak Transcendence Level?” Lu Chao stared at the man, letting his arms hang loosely at his sides. “You’re nothing but a drowned dog chased out by the Red Maple City Lord’s Mansion. I’ll give you a chance to tell me your last words.”

As his words fell, a deathly silence filled the metal corridor. Whether it was the Rebel Armored Transformers carrying rocket launchers or the two Superpower Law Enforcement Officers, everyone’s eyelids twitched, stunned by his sheer arrogance. Tan Shanzhong, flanked in the center, stared darkly and intently at Lu Chao’s ordinary, smiling face.

A brief moment felt like an eternity.

Lantern-sized crimson vertical pupils appeared behind Lu Chao. Immediately after, a Spiritual Shock was unleashed, deflecting the hail of bullets. The impact also sent many of the Rebel Warriors at the alloy doorway flying backward, crashing down one after another like torn rags in the wind.

Mixed THUD THUD THUD sounds of bodies hitting the ground echoed. The pupils of the two Superpower Law Enforcement Officers beside Tan Shanzhong shrank.

Before they could recover their wits, a black shadow transformed into a speeding chariot, charging straight out from the center of the self-destructing corridor.

The two Superpower Law Enforcement Officers were knocked flying on the spot, smashing into the walls on either side behind the alloy door, leaving behind caved-in craters and trailing streaks of blood.

It seems this is the source of your confidence,” Tan Shanzhong said coldly, as if confirming something.

Air bursts erupted, making the metal corridor feel as if it were exploding. A massive crater blasted outwards with their feet as the epicenter. The fallen and slumped Rebels were sent flying again before they could even catch their breath, instantly suffering heavy injuries.

“Aren’t you going to use your full strength?” Lu Chao remained firmly planted in place, unleashing a Shockwave Impact as a counterattack with his Stacked Force to block the air burst. Meeting the man’s dark, cold gaze, he smiled and said, “Or could it be that this is all the strength you have?”

His left fist, which had been gathering momentum at his waist, suddenly blasted forward, carrying the might of his Stacked Strength. Tearing through the air, the bulging muscles of his left arm made it thrust forward like a massive spear.

Tan Shanzhong narrowed his eyes, then threw out a palm strike, once again blocking the deadly punch.

A muffled explosion rang out, the shockwave shattering and denting the surrounding corridor walls. A cold light flashed in Tan Shanzhong’s eyes as the silver-white Qi Flame around him circulated and solidified, completely unleashing his full power.

In the blink of an eye, the two exchanged over a dozen moves. The shadows of their fists and palms detonated the air, and their rapidly shifting figures crushed the floor beneath them as they fought their way deeper into the base. The shockwaves blasted outward wildly, leaving trails of white gaseous streaks.

Ordinary people had no way to intervene in a battle at the Transcendence Level. The two Superpower Law Enforcement Officers who had been knocked flying earlier stumbled to their feet, clutching their fractured chests as blood trickled from the corners of their mouths.
