Chapter 507: Chapter 28: Clashing Head-On With the Prodigy

HUM!

A hovercar sped past Mountain City and parked beside the command center. Fully armed Alliance Country soldiers patrolled the area on high alert, successively changing guards downstairs.

“Inspector Chen, the defense line has been fully reinforced. Furthermore, Yao Capital has confirmed they have dispatched reinforcements to assist us.”

Inside the command room, which was built like a stone bunker, Lu Chao concluded his cultivation and walked to the center of the room once more. Yue Zhenhong and the others stepped forward one after another, reporting the latest situation in low voices.

“What else did Yao Capital say?” Lu Chao asked, waiting for a reply. He needed to determine the Alliance Country’s stance and perspective regarding the Clare People.

“They instructed us to be extremely careful before the reinforcements arrive,” Yue Zhenhong replied in a deep voice. The others present also wore solemn expressions.

Lu Chao remained noncommittal, but Mr. Ji’s previous words during their communication flashed through his mind. The Clare People were, after all, a Starry Sky civilization. Their technological capabilities were far superior to Earth Star’s, and to some extent, they had once been benefactors who aided in Earth Star’s development. Unless absolutely necessary, it was unwise for the Alliance Country to offend them too deeply.

In other words…

WHOOSH!

An ear-piercing sound rang out, suddenly interrupting everyone’s train of thought. The expressions of everyone inside the command room stiffened. Outside, the patrolling soldiers on the fortress walls also looked alarmed, raising their heads to look at the sky in unison.

WHOOSH!

A silver streak of light appeared once again, trailing liquid-like energy exhaust. A metallic sphere gradually decelerated, descending slowly from mid-air to hover less than a hundred meters above the city walls.

Seeing this, Lu Chao’s eyes narrowed. Yue Zhenhong and the others also experienced a shift in expression as they flanked him on both sides.

Silver light began to flow across the surface of the metallic sphere, eventually condensing into a blinding beam that projected down onto the city gates.

“What a pity.”

An indifferent voice echoed. Following the beam of light, everyone instinctively looked toward the illuminated spot. There, at the city gates guarded by several armored vehicles and dozens of elite Alliance Country soldiers, a figure had materialized out of thin air within the wide gateway. No one had noticed when he appeared.

Under countless alarmed and bewildered gazes, the figure was seen wearing a streamlined, form-fitting suit of combat armor. It was entirely silver-white, inlaid with black-gold patterns throughout, and radiated the sturdy luster of a high-grade alloy. A diamond-shaped black-gold emblem rested on the chest plate, occasionally flashing with a faint blue light.

“I gave you three days.

“Unfortunately, it seems you do not cherish this opportunity.”

The newcomer spoke calmly. The visor of his silver armor was half-retracted, revealing a sharp, angular, and youthful face. His pupils were dark gold, and a few faint blue, glowing scale patterns adorned his forehead. His gaze was like someone inspecting a nest of ants—looking down from above, treating all living beings with utter indifference.

“In that case…”

His voice wasn’t loud, but it echoed clearly in every corner of Mountain City, causing the residents to freeze in alarm and bewilderment.

“Kneel.”

HUM!

An invisible force erupted outward with him at the epicenter, vibrating the air and distorting everyone’s vision.

CRACK CRACK CRACK!

THUD! THUD! THUD!

The city walls trembled with a grating noise. Every Alliance Country soldier stationed near the gates shuddered as they were abruptly forced to their knees.

“What?!” Yue Zhenhong and the others turned pale, completely bewildered. They hadn’t even noticed how the man appeared, nor could they comprehend what kind of method he was using.

Even worse, in their line of sight, Commander Xu—the Superpower Strongman at the Exploration Level who was personally guarding the city gates—was standing in front of an armored vehicle, his body trembling violently while emitting non-stop cracking sounds.

As the Silver-armored Man stepped forward and approached him…

BOOM!

Commander Xu fell to both knees, the impact smashing shallow craters and spiderweb cracks into the concrete ground. The air around him vibrated madly, as if some form of gravitational field had intervened with reality, warping the view.

“You…” Commander Xu’s bloodshot eyes were filled with shock and fury. With an invisible, crushing weight pressing down on his shoulders, he glared fiercely at the approaching Silver-armored Man, staring at that youthful face that looked similar to an Earth Star human’s yet held subtle differences.

“Primitives will always be primitives.

“Too weak.”

STEP.

The humiliating words plunged into Commander Xu’s heart like sharp blades, causing thick red veins to bulge in his eyes. His blood boiled with defiance. Seeing that the man was about to step past him, he couldn’t hold back.

“Ahhh!” Commander Xu let out a furious roar, erupting with Qi Flames as he tried to violently resist and spring up.

However, the moment the Silver-armored Man brushed past him…

BAM!

The gravitational force resurged, violently slamming his upper body to the ground. It was as if a giant, invisible hand was forcefully pinning his entire body flat. Humiliated, he could only press his face against the dirt, watching the silver combat boots walk past his eyes. They kicked up dust and crushed pebbles beneath them, casually bypassing him and the rest of the Alliance Country soldiers.

“Damn it!”

Witnessing this scene, other Superpower Commanders roared furiously and charged over. They naturally recognized that this was the so-called trial genius of the Clare People, but they had stood guard here for the past three days precisely because they had never intended to kneel and surrender.

“Get lost!”

“Kill him!”

A total of four Superpower Commanders and Superpower Team leaders joined forces and attacked. Their white Qi Flames pierced the air like dragons, making the earth tremble. Their sweeping kicks whipped up tearing gales, crashing down fiercely like giant axes splitting a mountain.

They were just about to land a hit.

“Ignorant.”

HUM!

The invisible gravitational force abruptly contracted, covering a five-meter radius around the Silver-armored Man.

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!

The four commanders who had rushed in to encircle him stiffened. They were nailed in place like speeding trucks violently slamming on their brakes, their bodies letting out cracking noises as they buckled under the overwhelming pressure.

BZZT!

Immediately after, blue arcs of electricity bloomed around the Silver-armored Man, hovering a foot away from his body. Charging blue lights visibly swept across the black-gold patterns of his silver armor.

The next instant…

BOOM!

Figures were sent flying backward as four bursts of white qi exploded outward in circular shockwaves.
