Ace Of Terrans
Chapter 1174: Nature.
Shi Lang went inside the spirit hall and found that many of the juniors were sitting in the place with their eyes closed, as they tried to comprehend the essence of the legacy they obtained from the old ghosts living in this place. After looking around for a few minutes, he mumbled, "Come on, are you elders really not going to come out to see me? I have come over after such a long time."
A train of murmurs rose from the surroundings. The ghosts began to materialize and an old lady said, "Hmmm, the kid from back then now stands at the peak of the Dao World. Hmmm it seems that the Three Ghosts made the right bet when they passed on their wisdom to you."
The Terran smiled and replied with a modest smile and said, "I greet the elders."
The old ghosts smiled and the lady asked grumpily, "So, what the fuck caused you to come here? What we knew about the world is of no use to you."
Shi Lang nodded and replied, "Well, that might not be true. Knowledge is always good. However, I didn't come here seeking any knowledge from you all, I only came in to express my gratitude to you all. You all have been enlightening various disciples of the human race and now they all have begun contributing to the over all situation and that is a good thing. So, for injecting so much thought in the foundation of the race is a thing which is very thankless, and so while I cannot help you, I felt that conveying my respect is a must."
The old ghosts smiled but the Terran didn't say anything else, he could not bow to them even if he wanted to because the Seal of supreme would cause these souls to vanish. He chatted with them and asked if they liked any particular disciple in the place so that he could keep an eye out for them. The old ghosts mentioned a few names and Shi Lang recorded these names and told that he would pass it all to the Asura Hall later to confirm how these people were doing.
After a few minutes, Shi Lang stood up and left the place calmly. When he came out of the spirit hall, he found that Hao Mei was standing on the side with Calvar beside her, and the old man was kneeling on the side as well. He sighed and waved his hand before the old man was forced to stand up.
He said, "Get going, you have done enough by apologizing. I am not a tyrant."
The old man nodded and then he picked up his feet before he rushed away. Hao Mei looked at his fading figure and Shi Lang patted her forehead, "Does your parents know you are so domineering outside the house?"
Hao Mei stuck out her tongue and the Terran shook his head before he said, "Go back and focus, the time is short. I am heading to the valley of heroes for seclusion. Unless the sky falls, don't come looking and that little bird at home will surely know that you are aware about my whereabouts. So don't cross her. She turns into a screecher if you act out."
The young lady chuckled and said, "Okay, you take care, if something big happens, I will send an SOS to Elder Raksha. Also, Baba, why are you wearing these clothes."
After for a few minutes, she was gone and similarly, Shi Lang was off to the valley of heroes as well. When he stood at the opening of the valley he sighed, and mumbled, "Look at this, the magnificence of the nature and Dao. The spiritual storm kicked up back then is still going on. How precise must these factors be, Raksha?"
The sword spirit replied, "Shut the fuck up, go do your thing, I have to comprehend a lot as well."
Shi Lang smiled and tossed her to the side, and said, "You protect the order?"
The sword spirit chuckled and replied, "Dude, I am not your watch dog."
Shi Lang replied loudly as he vanished into the spirit storm, "No, but you are my Guardian Angel."
Raksha appeared in the void and she mumbled, "You fucking sweet tongue. Hmph."
She waved her hand and cast the sword domain outside the valley, and the juniors who were trying to get close to the valley after facing off the giant pressure waves, were forced back before a voice echoed in their minds, "The Shura Emperor is secluding inside, come back later. He might give you some guidance for taking away your time."
The announcement scared the people and at the same time, they rejoiced as well. Because the Shura Emperor was a title many feared, but all respected it. This was the global standard of the human realm at the moment.
…
Shi Lang stood inside the spirit storm and then experienced the spiritual wind brushing against his body. It was as if a gust was massaging his body. The reason he came here was to try and comprehend the true meaning of wind element. He stood in the same position and closed his eyes, to comprehend the true meaning.
True meaning was not something that could be comprehended just because you wanted to comprehend it. It was something that originated with the resonance of your Dao Runes, carved all over the being of a person. True Meanings were things that allowed the Daoist to have a slight leverage over the nature around them.
This resonance was something that would come after the Dao Runes inside the body of a person had been drenched in the essence of a particular element, or the principle. At this moment, Shi Lang was standing on the ground and letting his body soak in the spiritual storm. The reason he was doing this so that his body would clean up and also gradually begin resonate with spiritual storm.
…
The world moved on its own very calmly, they had their own tasks, and they could not handle everything on their own, they needed to focus on things of their own as well. They needed to get stronger; the fate of the human race and the rest of the alliance have been announced to everyone and while this was going on, Feng Yun and Amelia were sharing tea in the shade of the pavilion as the world moved around them.
Amelia asked, "So, do you think Lang would be able to break through the Realm of a priest like this?"
Feng Yun nodded and said, "His Dao Runes are resonating already, it is just that the slacker has yet to recognize the frequency. To think he is the supreme of the human race."
Amelia smiled and continued drinking her tea. Feng Yun sighed and said, "Sometimes I think, what is pushing him to keep going further? Why does he not stop, have kids and live the mundane life like a mortal. Even if he stops cultivating at the moment, he would live so long that it would appear to be an eternity. Do you know how I envy the mortals? I wonder if he would do the same."
Amelia stopped, she didn't expect the banter to evolve in a situation like this, and after a few minutes, the young lady replied, "I am not sure what it is that is causing him to keep going, but had it not been for him, you and I both would have a fate very different from this one."
Feng Yun nodded and said, "Indeed, Fate. I swear, that is something I never understood much about. However, it is something that is keeping the world going. The reason Great Dao exists is so that the souls could get away from the binds of this secular world, but think about it, are you all really away from the secular aspect? Kal-E is the anchor, and as you continue, more and more such anchor points would come to existence.
These anchors would not make it easy on him or you to let go of the tension that is keeping you all in the loop. So, what is the point here?"
The young lady hummed and said, "I have an idea that he might have realized this too. So, while it may seem like he is doing something to advance, he might be preparing to just hang up his gloves and take a long retirement."
Feng Yun sighed and replied, "True, with him, nobody knows what's it going to be next time."
Amelia nodded and then she smiled after a few minutes, because she recalled something from the past and she said, "The nature of things will never change but their behaviour does. So, I am sure that this man is going to do something really out of the box, because that is his nature, no matter what else he does, but he will keep doing things that pleases him."
