Shi Lang looked at Feng Yun who was sitting across him. The lady asked, “What do you intend to do?”

The Terran didn’t speak and Feng Yun sighed before she said, “I didn’t come down here to discredit you or stop you. It has been determined that you are a singularity that could change the course of this world’s fate. However, I am aware of how Amelia is your emotional anchor, if something happened to her, you might destroy the world, and we cannot risk that. So please, tell me what you intend to do, and I will help you.”

Shi Lang looked in her eyes and asked, “How can I trust that you are not under the control of the Realm Lord? He has partially merged with the world consciousness and that something can influence all the people who are abiding by the will of the world.”

Feng Yun sighed and said, “It is good that you are cautious and that you understand that I don’t abide by the laws of this world or any world for that matter. My source of origin was the Great Dao, and so, I follow the will of the Great Dao and nothing else. Or do you want me to perhaps take an oath about it?”

Shi Lang nodded, Feng Yun was shocked and the Terran said, “The one thing that I learned in this world was to not trust anyone.”

Feng Yun sighed and she raised her hand before she squeezed out a drop of blood and said, “I, the Vermillion Phoenix, with Great Dao as my witness, swear that I didn’t come here with any malicious intention towards Shi Lang or the plans he has regarding the the confrontation….”

She made a long oath about the situation, and it was very long winded. Covered every single thing that could become a loophole. Shi Lang raised his brow and then the clouds thundered. He said, “Aren’t you being a bit to thorough?”

The lady shook her head and said, “Do you think I am not aware of how suspicious you can be?”

The young man sighed and said, “Well, let me tell you about it. I will make an extra vessel with the material I have from the last visit in the Temple of the Five Elements. That will be used to replace Amelia, and while at it, I will make sure to replace the strand of world consciousness inside Amelia.”

Feng Yun was shocked, and asked, “Do you think it is so easy to handle? World Consciousness is not something that can be removed from a vessel just because you want to.”

Shi Lang nodded and he took a deep breath before he replied, “I knew about this when I was refining her body.”

Feng Yun was shocked, and Shi Lang said, “You gave me the knowledge of the Dao of Time. I understood a lot of things when I tried to comprehend this thing. The first time I used the power of time, I sense something that was trying to move inside my consciousness. The world consciousness is fragmented and it wants to be completed quickly. For that, it is willing to use anyone and anything.”

Feng Yun sighed and replied, “Yes, indeed that is the truth about this.”

Feng Yun took a pause and replied, “Well, if you really want to remove the wisp of world consciousness from Amelia’s body, you will need to force the World Consciousness out of the place.”

Shi Lang took a deep breath and asked, “What would that be?”

Feng Yun shook her head and said, “You would need to do the same thing that you did when you refined the physique for Amelia, and this time, you should make the seal strong enough that it can hold back the Wisps of world consciousness from channelling itself to reunite. Then you can force it to pull out the wisp from Amelia’s body.”

Shi Lang raised his brow and said, “How would that even work, the runes exist because they were created by the world consciousness, they follow and extend the rules on which this world is based upon. How can I come up with something that will not only pass through the tribulations that would follow the refinement. It is not something that could be done just because I want to do it.”

Feng Yun shook her head and replied, “You have misunderstood the governance of the Dao. This entire world is something that is based on the will of Great Dao.”

Shi Lang suddenly shivered, and he asked, “So, you are saying that the world consciousness is separate from the Great Dao?”

Feng Yun nodded, and they both moved forward into a deeper discussion. They both lost the perception of time, and kept moving on. The pavilion was now resonating with the fluctuations of Dao. After three days, Shi Lang stopped and took a deep breath before he said, “Thank you.”

Feng Yun shook her head and replied, “No, after all this time, you have been doing your best to uphold the will of Great Dao. Even if you have just done it to make sure that the human race survives. However, it is eventually leading you towards the greater dao.”

Shi Lang smiled faintly and said, “If you say so.”

Feng Yun suddenly turned around to look outside the pavilion and said, “Long time no see, Amy.”

Amelia bowed to the person and said, “Greetings, Your Holiness.”

Feng Yun smiled and said, “Have you been well?”

Amelia nodded and Feng Yun beckoned her to come close. When Amelia approached her, Feng Yun pointed a finger at Amelia’s forehead, and then she said, “I have cast a seal in your soul sea, it will stop the World Consciousness from trying to interfere with your situation.”

Amelia thanked her, and Shi Lang asked, “Can you help me move through the barriers cast by the Realm Lord?”

Feng Yun rolled her eyes and replied, “That thing is called Kal-e. What realm lord? Also, these are the things that you need to handle them on your own.”

Shi Lang sighed and replied, “You bully.”

Feng Yun smiled and then she said, “I will be staying here if you want to discuss anything. Finally I have gotten some time for myself.”

Shi Lang shook his head and Amelia said, “Lang, Naomi has come with a report.”

The Terran stood up and said, “Fine, I will handle her. You stay here and talk to the guest.”

Feng Yun retorted, “What the heck, oye, I am not your guest. This is my place.”

Amelia and Feng Yun brewed some tea, and they began to chat.

Shi Lang came to the gathering hall and met with Naomi, she looked at him and took out the headband before she replied, “This is a genius device, no fluctuation from the divine sense at all. We have tried everything even asked the Supreme Elder of the race, he tried it and have no feedback. For your information, the elder is someone who has met the Realm Lord. He has an idea of how strong this person is, and so this can be mass produced.”

The Terran nodded and replied, “That is fine, I will share the blueprint with you.”

Naomi nodded and Shi Lang continued, “Also, Naomi, the realm lord is called Kal-e. Use that name from now on, we need to take down his invincible image a little.”

Naomi was shocked, and asked, “Where did you hear this name?”

Shi Lang sighed and replied, “That is not something that you should ask about my friend. We have someone who knows everything and everyone.”

Naomi was shocked, she could not understand what was going on. Shi Lang left the gathering hall after he gave Naomi the blueprint for the headgear. The message was clear, to refine a version of this headgear that is suitable for the various people of the myriad races. Because every race has different wavelengths, and what Shi Lang made was just the prototype, he was now going to refine the design and create an artifact that would be used by all the saints and the militaries.

Yes, Shi Lang didn’t intend to limit this artifact to the saints, but he wanted to equip his entire force with it. The reason was simple, to make sure that Kal-e could not manipulate anyone, disregarding the level of their cultivation.

The Terran knew that since Kal-e has merged with the world consciousness, even though it was a partial fusion, there was a big chance that this person could control the people and make puppets out of them. He had also passed on this message to Naomi secretly so that they don’t hold back when it comes to refining the artifact for the rest of the people. After all, since they were going to war, it was sure they would need to face the low level troops as well, because Kal-e would not be coming to fight them himself unless things get worse.

So, this was a measure to make sure that they don’t suffer much casualty while fending off against the foot soldiers.
