Chapter 1107: The Might Of The Spear.

Shi Lang sat back with the rest of the people as the dozens of people began to pick out lucky draws. They were deciding who would fight who. Just because the human race was united doesn’t mean they were all having a blast. Shi Lang watched with zero interest and Tong Bai asked, “What is going on? Why don’t you look like you want to watch?”

Shi Lang scoffed and said, “Old Lizard and Old Needle will both enter the final. No offense sis, but this matter is personal for Old Needle. Don’t you know how he hold grudges? Old Lizard will get his ass handed to him fair and square.”

Fairy Moon Jade smiled and said, “You know I always wondered why did the people held Tian Long in such a high regard back then.”

Shi Lang chuckled and replied, “Because you all pushed the side kick into the lime light. Shady lot you guys were. Does he have any idea how many times you held back and let him bask in glory to keep yourself undisturbed.”

Tong Bai and Fairy Moon Jade smiled, and the latter said, “Well, he was not that ostentatious to be with, I guess.”

The battles began and the people fought to the best of their abilities, but when it came to Tian Long and Prince Bei Ming, the other sages had no answer at all. After ten days of battles the entire situation calmed down. Finally it was dawn of the eleventh day and the entire human race was waiting for the final clash.

Tian Long and Prince Beiming appeared opposite each other and they were standing in the void. They were fighting inside a separate barrier. Tian Long drew his sword, and his hair began to flutter. Prince Beiming held his spear, the expression on his face was one that of calm.

From the distance, Shi Lang watched them and Yu Xeidi asked, “Baba, Uncle Beiming seems to be very calm. Is everything okay?”

Shi Lang nodded and replied, “That old guy knows what is going on. His heart has been caught in the grasp of guilt. He had been living all this while to keep the promise to his wife, and the unborn child. However, today after finishing this battle, he would go through a tough internal conflict. Everything will depend on the final day, if he is able to walk up to fight with the enemy saint. If not, then I would have to step in personally.”

The people nodded and all of them prayed that Prince Beiming cure himself.

Prince Beiming watched Tian Long, and all of a sudden, a gust blew between them as they both vanished from their spots. Tian Long wasn’t giving an inch to Beiming, who lashed out aggressively. They both had the same speed, and their strength was the same as well.

However, Tian Long had command over the sword, while Prince Beiming countered him with the spear. The intent they both mastered was radiating all over the place, and it was leaving fissures all over the ground and then the void as well.

Shi Lang leaned forward slightly and mumbled, “It seems like Bei Ming is done holding back.”

The two ladies nodded beside him, and Amelia smiled. Xiao Meng was watching the battle intently and her body was extremely sensitive to the sword intent in the void. Amelia placed her hand on the young girl’s back and said, “Sense it and close your eyes to comprehend. However, don’t let it effect you, Mengmeng.”

Xiao Meng nodded and replied, “Yes, Ma.”

She closed her eyes and began to sense the intent and the source hidden inside it. Yu Xeidi was watching with her eyes open but she didn’t comprehend anything. The people were surprised, and Jenkins asked, “Xiao Yu, don’t you wish to comprehend the sword arts?”

The young lady shook her head and replied, “My path is that of the Shura, it is of no use to me to comprehend this intent.”

Shi Lang sighed and looked at the young girl as he said, “Xiao Yu, knowledge is power. So, what shall we do with knowledge?”

Yu Xeidi replied, “Grasp it, and integrate it.”

That said she closed her eyes and began to meditate. She only cared what Shi Lang said, the rest were negligible. Amelia had some sway over her, but that was only comparable to her sisters. Only Shi Lang was the only person before whom Yu Xeidi was calm and humble.

Tian Long yelled as he charged through the void, “Flame Serpent Dance.”

His sword moved and created a serpent made up of flames and it radiated a strong sword intent, however, on the other side, Bei Ming replied with a move of his own, “Starlight Shower.”

His spear turned into streaks of starlight that moved through the void at a speed comparable to light. Prince Beiming didn’t hold back in any of his moves, and he was giving it his all, only then could he respect the man before him otherwise it wouldn’t be a fair fight.

The attacks cancelled out each other and then Tian Long said, “One blow to decide.”

Prince Beiming nodded and Tian Long said, “Purgatory Hell Flame.”

Flame dragons condensed around him and they were huge, akin to a mountain. The heat was so strong that it even set the void ablaze. Shi Lang clicked his tongue and said, “This husband of yours has been holding back against me all these years. I will beat him up.”

Fairy Moon Jade chuckled and said, “He isn’t holding back but it is simply a card that he kept to make sure that when you tease him, he can evade.”

Tong Bai chuckled, and then she said, “Whoa! Would you look at that condensation?”

A huge spirit phantom appeared behind Prince Beiming. The phantom was that of a dragon, but instead of any element it radiated sharpness. The man made a seal with his fingers and chanted somethings under breath. After a few moments, as the flames charged toward him, the golden dragon condensed into a needle.

The wind in the surrounded turned into a malevolent storm. Prince Beiming said, “Mighty Spear.”

With a gesture of his fingers, the small three inches long needle shot through the void leaving behind a tear in the void.

Everyone watched the scene with abetted breaths and they saw how the needle, unaffected by the heat of the purgatory hell flame reached Tian Long and stopped just one inch away from his forehead and even then a drop of blood appeared on Tian Long’s skin.

Shi Lang recalled something and smiled, as the match came to an end.
