Chapter 598: Chapter 597: Success

Nameless cut through Void’s scales easily as blood flowed from the wound.

Void’s eyes narrowed as he looked at the injury, which had almost instantly healed.

"Was it a failure?" Void couldn’t help but ask.

But just then, he felt a pulse travel through his body.

Void didn’t know what had happened, but he immediately slashed downward again.

Slash!

Just like before, blood flowed from the wound. However, the injury seemed tougher to inflict this time.

Void slashed down again.

And again.

Each time he cut his own flesh, the damage caused by Nameless became lesser and lesser until finally...

Ding!

Nameless bounced off his scales, leaving behind nothing more than a white mark.

Void couldn’t help but grin.

He continued.

Finally, not even a white mark remained.

Void’s body had grown strong enough to resist Nameless.

This was terrifying.

But was this the full potential of the Primordial Demon Body?

Void was truly impressed.

His test had been successful.

"Would this improved body allow me to use Rules better?" Void couldn’t help but ponder.

---

Abyss...

The Fifth Abyss, Void’s multiverse...

Void’s true form opened his eyes.

A new surge of knowledge filled his mind, and Void chuckled.

"Interesting."

Void moved his arm.

Just like his clone, a pulse of energy spread throughout his body after each cycle.

He had also unlocked the Primordial Demon Body.

At the tip of his finger, a tiny amount of energy formed.

This was a portion of the Rules Void possessed within his body.

He noticed that he could control them more easily and could even withstand a greater amount of their power as his understanding rapidly grew.

A grin spread across Void’s face.

Finally, Void lowered his finger, and the Rules returned to his body.

"System..."

"Show me my stats," Void called out.

Now, Void was only a step away from the peak of Rank 4 and was approaching Rank 5.

His stats had changed drastically from the beginning.

Now, Void was a certified powerhouse.

More importantly, his organization had spread and was becoming known by more and more creatures across the Fitel.

Meanwhile, if not for the System, he would have completely forgotten that he had created a universe.

He should visit it later.

But one thing caught Void’s attention.

Alayot was breaking through?

"Hmm..."

Void’s eyes narrowed as space shattered, and Alayot appeared before him.

"Alayot," Void called out.

Alayot opened his eyes.

Around him were golden tendrils extending from one of the deepest parts of space. They were connected directly to the Plane of Consciousness.

For those related to souls, the stronger they became, the stronger their connection to the Plane of Consciousness.

It was the lifeline of the Fitel.

An almost invisible and untouchable plane filled with three layers of threads.

Gold represented the Sons of Destiny and Chosen Ones.

Red represented antagonists.

And finally, white-black threads represented crises and world-ending calamities.

The three merged together to form worlds, universes, and multiverses.

The Plane of Consciousness existed to mix these three forces together and create life—life that could thrive infinitely throughout the Fitel.

One could only imagine what would happen if it were damaged.

And now, Alayot was connected to it for his breakthrough.

With his Soul Origin, he was qualified to interact with it.

Void knew that it was Alayot’s goal to create his own mechanical race.

But not only that.

He wanted to create a race that could thrive and continue growing.

And now, it seemed that this very goal was what was preventing him from breaking through.

Yes, Alayot had the necessary resources.

His Origin had reached the required level.

But alas, his heart was not settled.

That obsession, unless resolved, would become his obstacle—one that could sever his connection to the Plane of Consciousness.

Then, the golden threads seemed to sense something.

They slowly withdrew from Alayot.

And his breakthrough failed.

"Ma... Master..."

Alayot looked at Void’s true form standing before him with fear.

He had just failed his breakthrough.

His heart was shaken as he felt that his goal might never be accomplished.

But who could have known that Void had sensed the problem and brought him here?

When Alayot looked at Void, he was shocked.

It was as though he were gazing at a being that had emerged from a distant, ancient era.

His heart felt heavy.

More importantly, he could feel that this wasn’t the "Void" they knew.

Or the Void they usually spoke to.

This Void was several times stronger.

"It is me," Void said, seeing what Alayot was thinking as he reassured him.

"Keep this a secret from the others. As for your breakthrough, let me help you."

Void smiled.

When he saw his universe in his status, he had initially thought that he would visit it in the future.

But it seemed that wasn’t necessary.

It seemed that right now, it could actually be put to use.

Void stretched out his palm.

Space collapsed from the first layer to the fifth layer as Void’s hand entered the Sixth Layer of Space.
