Chapter 708: Depravita's nature
Chapter 708: Depravita’s nature
“So, again, I must thank you.”
Venganza’s aura spiked, and the black hole materialized again.
The black hole could crush Four Evolution Extreme Rank 9 life forms with ease, but the Flame Imperator showed no fear at all as it saw it manifest.
He did not try to run and get away from the Incarnation of Death and Destruction’s grip. His red eyes glowed, and a white sun emerged from within him.
Silence reigned for a second as the Incarnation of Death and Destruction’s black hole clashed against the Flame Imperator’s white sun, but it did not last for long.
“BOOM!” A thunderous sound that extended over the Prima Universe’s core occurred as those two mighty forces clashed.
It unleashed shock waves that pushed every iota of Elemental Chaos around them. En and the Justice Primarchs felt them despite the immense distance between them and the clash.
Despite the white sun and black hole clashing and shattering everything around them, the Flame Imperator and Venganza did not move their eyes from each other.
“I don’t know what you are talking about.” The Flame Imperator’s voice was calm, and one would find it impossible to deduce anything from it.
“There is no need to lie. I figured out all of it. It is impressive how high your intelligence can rise after getting rid of all those pesky emotions.” Venganza kept smiling, but now there was a horrible coldness in his voice.
“Oh. Please tell me, what have you figured out?” The Flame Imperator’s tone did not change, and he remained impervious to the Depravita’s actions.
“You could have saved her but chose not to since it went against your agenda. You wanted me to go crazy with rage, so I would do everything to obtain revenge.” Venganza’s tone grew colder with each word, as did the evilness of his aura.
The Flame Imperator remained silent after hearing Venganza’s accusation. He took a moment before answering.
“Even if I did what you are accusing me of. My only crime is not acting. I owe you nothing, so why should I waste my power helping you?”
This time, the Flame Imperator’s gaze changed, and there was killing intent in it as he enhanced the might of his white sun.
He was the Alpha Universe Leader, an entity that managed to rally an entire super universe behind him, so how could he be a pushover?
Venganza’s eyes glowed, and his black hole’s power also rose, allowing it to keep up with the white sun.
“I will punish all those that had anything to do with her death. You had the power to save her, and you did not. That is enough for me.”
When the Flame Imperator heard Venganza’s reasoning, the killing intent in his eyes only grew stronger.
“Your way of thinking is flawed. No one could accept it.”
A smile slowly emerged on Venganza’s face, and then he began to laugh like a madman.
“¡Hahahahahaha!” As Venganza laughed, his Depravita’s aura grew stronger and purer.
“Do you know why a race like ours born out of emotions could only rise out of the negative ones?”
The Flame Imperator’s eyes narrowed. His power allowed him to understand almost all universe phenomena, but the Depravita Race was a mystery even for him.
A race could be born out of many things. Energies, phenomena, laws, but one whose origin was emotions and ideas was unique.
In the end, he gave a soft nod. He was happy to listen if Venganza wanted to shed some light on that unique race.
En, Salomon, Issac, and the other Justice Primarchs that watched the clash between the two from a distance were also intrigued.
Luckily for them, Venganza did not make them wait.
“Negative emotions are unhindered by the desire of others. They are pure in a sense that altruistic feelings could never be. One focuses on itself while the other focuses on the external. Only negative emotions have the power to reject the natural order and manifest themselves in reality.”
Venganza’s Depravita aura only kept growing stronger as he spoke. There was no rise in his cultivation, but his state of existence changed.
“Depravita do not care about lawful and chaotic, about right or wrong. We don’t even care about good and evil.”
The Flame Imperator felt a sense of threat as he stared at the Incarnation of Death and Destruction’s eyes. He knew they came from the one that was in control.
Venganza did not care about the Flame Imperator right now, as those words drew a sense of enlightenment in him.
“I am Depravita and only care about my heart’s desire.”
As soon as he pronounced those words, Venganza’s Depravita aura changed, becoming calmer but at the same time purer.
Venganza let go of the Flame Imperator’s hand and took a step back, breaking the clash he started. Some might mock him, but that did not matter.
“So that is my next step.”
Venganza was born having already resonated with the Concept of Revenge, so he was technically a Rank 8 Depravita, and he had just found the next step into Rank 9.
The Flame Imperator stared at Venganza as this one had an epiphany about his new nature and made a question that was in everyone’s mind.
“Are you still Zatiel Daybreak?”
That question surprised Venganza, and it was the first time he even thought about it. After a few seconds, he gave his answer.
“I am Zatiel Daybreak. However, I have broken the shackle that is the responsibility for this universe’s fate.”
When En and the Justice Primarchs heard Venganza’s words, they did not know what to think.
For Zatiel, forgetting about the Prima Universe would make things easier, but he never chose that path, not even when he was the Incarnation of Death and Destruction, but Venganza did.
“I will decide what to do about you after taking care of him. I know what you are after, so don’t try lying to me.”
The Flame Imperator did not argue with the Depravita, and he nodded before the two vanished. He and Venganza found themselves outside the Prima-Eldritch Universe Final Battlefield the next second.
The duo transformed into a black and white beam of light, and they used the flaws left by the King in Yellow in the battlefield’s Crystal Wall to reach the Final Gate.
Unlike the Eldritch Race, Venganza and the Flame Imperator were not affected by the Final Gate and managed to cross it.
Just like that, the strongest entities of the Alpha and Prima Universes traveled into the Eldritch Universe.
