"What do you mean by that?"

"I mean the people who came with you outside!" the King furrowed his brows and looked at Orion, asking in confusion "did the City of Light fall, and these people came to seek shelter with us after their city fell and they had no refuge left to turn to?" then the King waved his hand, smiling...

"But don’t worry, since they came with you...!" the King wanted to continue but stopped midway and furrowed his brows when he heard a strange sound coming from his son Orion!

"Hahahahahahaha! The City of Light has fallen! Homeless people wanting to seek shelter with us because there’s nowhere to house them! Hahahaha! Ah, my stomach!" Orion clutched his stomach and laughed uncontrollably "I have to admit, this is the best joke I’ve heard in my life!"

"What do you mean by that, Orion?" the King glared sharply at his son, veins bulging on his forehead from the intensity of his anger at Orion’s disrespectful reaction, while at the side the ministers’ eyes widened in astonishment, and Valeria stood in the middle of the hall, the smile never leaving her face!

"Heh, heh, heh! Alright, alright, I’ll stop" Orion wiped away a small tear caused by his intense laughter from the corner of his eye and looked at his father mockingly...

"Old man, the City of Light hasn’t fallen. The entire continent might fall, but it won’t! And those people outside aren’t homeless — the entire continent’s population might become homeless before they do!"

The King raised his eyebrow upon hearing this and asked his son mockingly "you speak as though the Sacred Tree of Cradle has returned to the City of Light and is now running things again, like in the ancient eras!"

"No, it’s not the Sacred Tree of Cradle that has returned..." Orion straightened up in his seat and looked at everyone before saying in a serious tone "what has returned is something far greater!"

"Hahaha, good joke, son, good joke!" the King laughed a little, then his gaze turned dangerous as he looked at his son "but this is no time for jokes, say what you have to say now, without beating around the bush!"

"I’m not joking with anyone here!" Orion said in a serious, harsh tone and continued "I saw it with my own eyes and witnessed it for six whole months. Who rules the City of Light now is the Sacred Tree of Abyss, which has devoured the Sacred Tree of Life before it and now possesses its abilities as well. Its power has reached a level I’ve never witnessed or heard of before — even what’s told of the Tree of Cradle and the wars of the ancient era is nothing compared to it!"

Everyone in the hall listened quietly, and some eyes widened in disbelief. Most of them didn’t believe the nonsense Orion had brought, but there were some in whose hearts doubt had begun to creep in, and soon they heard Orion continue....

"Six months ago, the three main kingdoms of the three ancient races attacked, along with the Silent Ravens Kingdom and the Red Centaur Kingdom, they attacked the City of Light. On top of that, a million Third Level giants attacked alongside them, led by a Fourth Level giant whose lineage far surpassed even the Immortal lineage — even I didn’t dare move from my hiding place at the time" Orion spoke in a calm voice and looked at the ministers "six armies exceeding six million fully-equipped soldiers in total, attacking a city that barely holds two million elves, most of them non-combatant women and elders... what do you think happened!"

Most of those present in the hall widened their eyes upon hearing this news from Orion, and no one dared to call him a liar before he had fully finished speaking, because it was clear he was speaking with complete seriousness... and everyone in the hall knew well just how powerful Orion was and what he did when someone crossed him in an important matter!

"Since you won’t answer, let me tell you what happened!" Orion clenched his fist from sheer intensity and continued...

"Not a single one of that million giants remains alive, and their lord’s soul has now become a servant — a servant of His Majesty King Vaelor, the Immortal Tree of Abyss, while only a few from the other five races managed to escape. All the kings of those races died, except for that bastard, the Falcon King, who managed to slip away and flee!" Orion gritted his teeth at the end as though the Falcon King had personally escaped from him, then he leaned back and said in a slightly arrogant tone...

"Not to mention King Vaelor, ancestor of the elves of this current era — but the elves of the City of Light alone are capable of leveling any kingdom on this continent and wiping it out completely within a matter of days!" Orion spoke, letting everyone hear him in a harsh tone "as for those elves outside, they didn’t come to seek refuge in the Elven War Kingdom — they came to make sure the Elven War Kingdom will submit!"

"Damn you, traitor! You bring those who wish for our downfall to our very doorstep and speak on their behalf with pride and arrogance, while we are your own people and kin!" an old elf rose from among the ministers and pointed his finger at Orion, but when he saw the King raise his hand and gesture with his palm for him to stop, he fell silent at once.

"From what you’re saying, I understand you’ve joined them as well" the King looked at his son and furrowed his brows "why?"

"Let me guess?" Orion glanced around the hall before answering his father confidently "ten of you managed to break through to the Fourth Level using the Energy path system in the past few days, isn’t that right!"

"And what of it?" the King nodded calmly. They had already consumed all the catalysts the Elven War Kingdom possessed, and ten of them had reached the Fourth Level on the Energy path, not counting the other twenty Fourth Level fighters in this hall who walked the Body path!

"If you’re happy about those ten the Elven War Kingdom has gained, the City of Light has a thousand elves who’ve reached the Fourth Level, and that number grows every day. And right now, outside the kingdom’s walls, two hundred Fourth Level elves and more than ten thousand Third Level warriors equipped with Fourth Level gear await me — each one of them can stand against a Fourth Level Body path user for quite some time!"
