Abyss Tree Evolution: A Mission to Conquer the World
Chapter 203: The Item
"A savage will always remain a savage!" Ricky said in an irritated tone, then raised his foot high and...
Boom!
Ricky stomped on Solar with his massive foot, and he didn’t stop there — the ground beneath his foot gradually began to melt. After a while, Ricky lifted his foot again, and there was nothing left beneath it except the marks of his claws!
Solar had vanished completely, without a sound, without a struggle, without any resistance.
Or rather, it should be said he never had the capacity to do any of that in the first place!
H... has the fight ended!
The commentator said in a slightly weak voice, his smile gradually widening, and he soon shouted in jubilation upon noticing the illusory battlefield beginning to fade away!
He’s done it! He’s done it! The Phoenix Ricky has done it and defeated the Abyss’s Child, Solar! The Little Fang has done it and achieved his ninety-seventh victory without a single loss!
The commentator shouted with all his excitement, and immediately behind him the crowd roared at the top of their lungs!
Hoorraaaaaaaay!
Hoorraaaaaaaay!
Hoorraaaaaaaay!
"Hahahahahaha! I was right, I was right! I bet on the right person, my fortune has doubled, I’ve become rich!"
"That was truly an exciting fight, full of countless twists!" Vaelor nodded, smiling as he looked at Ricky.
"It certainly was, and perhaps a cycle like this won’t come around again for the next hundred years!" Dalia smiled and agreed with Vaelor while studying Ricky’s condition.
"Ooh! And why is that?" Vaelor raised an eyebrow slightly and asked.
"The reason is that talents of the Immortal grade are exceedingly rare, especially talents at this level like Ricky’s and Solar’s. An entire world at its peak might not produce even a single person with an Immortal talent once every million years," Dalia looked at Vaelor with complicated brows...
"As for you, you’re the mutation everyone wishes for but most never obtain!"
"Rare! A mutation everyone wishes for!" Vaelor furrowed his brows and looked toward the battlefield with unfocused eyes and a wandering mind, thinking of his home world...
A rare talent?
As far as Vaelor could recall, the mother continent had produced five such talents!
The Immortal Tree of Cradle.
The first Immortal Tree of Abyss, which died under mysterious circumstances.
The Immortal Tree of Life, which was devoured by Rios.
Elena, the possessor of the Pulsing Star Body.
And in addition to him — the second Immortal Tree of Abyss!
A mutated Immortal talent is a talent everyone wishes for but most never obtain?
Well, then the mother continent had produced two of these talents!
The first was Vaelor.
And the second was the Titan Anar, whose soul had now become Vaelor’s servant!
It was a truly strange thing to think about!
Why would all these talents appear in one single place within only a hundred thousand years?
And what was even stranger — they had all appeared or centered around one single place...
The City of Light!
Far away from all this noise and clamor, and far from Vaelor’s endless thoughts, Ricky stood utterly exhausted, his body no longer able to withstand the repercussions of the third Nirvana cycle, and the flames of his body had already begun to fade!
Ricky’s body gradually shrank until the flames vanished completely, and soon his human body appeared!
The moment it appeared, a strange silence fell over the crowd’s stands, and they stared at him in shock!
More than half of his lower body had vanished entirely — nearly everything from below his chest downward had disappeared, in addition to the loss of his arms and one of his wings, while the other wing was severely broken in several places and in a pitiful state.
But that wasn’t even the worst of it — the worst was his disfigured head, where you could now see the bones of his skull with your bare eyes, without any effort at all!
Ricky rested quietly on the ground, and gradually closed his eyes once he confirmed he was the victor. Soon his body began transforming into countless stars and wisps of cloud, and vanished!
"Well, it seems our journey here has finally come to an end!" Rios stood up, adjusted his clothes, and gave one last look toward the battlefield.
"Where do you want to go now, you broke lord?" Dalia also stood up and asked him.
"We’re not going anywhere else, our journey here has already ended," Vaelor shook his head and said with a confident smile, but soon a blue screen appeared before him!
"Ooh! This looks interesting," Vaelor smiled as he looked at the screen before him and passed it to Dalia.
"Hmm!" Dalia nodded upon seeing the contents of the screen and looked at Vaelor with a smile...
"Looks like they’ve left you to be the final obstacle in front of Ricky!"
This screen displayed Vaelor’s match schedule after he decided to participate in the Colosseum, and before Dalia was Vaelor’s very first match, set against Ricky — specifically, match number one hundred, Ricky’s final match!
My battles ninety-eight and ninety-nine will be against two people who also possess Immortal talent, but according to Dalia’s assessment, these two were weaker than Solar and had less potential than him, so it was highly likely they would both lose to Ricky, setting up a final confrontation between Ricky and Vaelor.
Ricky’s final battle, and at the same time, Vaelor’s very first battle!
"What can I say, his luck is really bad to end up facing me in the end. It seems the Colosseum’s management doesn’t want Ricky to be crowned Champion of the Year!" Vaelor shrugged his shoulders and said with a smug, narcissistic smile!
"Don’t underestimate the boy — his potential is no less than anyone else with a mutated Immortal talent, so if you underestimate him, you might regret it!" Dalia said in warning, then smiled slyly, "Besides, you can’t use your Triple Law or even transform into the Tree of Abyss, or you’ll immediately expose yourself, and the empires and underworld organizations will start hunting for you. So you’ll be facing him while restrained!"
Vaelor furrowed his brows for a moment, then finally smiled and nodded, "So what? I’ll still come out victorious in the end regardless!"
Heh!
Dalia sighed and didn’t continue arguing with him, but soon furrowed her brows again and looked at Vaelor in confusion, "But why are you also participating in the sixth-level battles too? Your first match there will be against the half-crowned champion as well, in his match number one hundred... his last one!"
"What can I say, I have many talents, and my Soul Path training has already reached the peak of the Third Gate, so why not test my strength in the Soul Path as well?" Vaelor shrugged his shoulders and spoke arrogantly, but soon he waved his hand, produced a small box, and offered it to Dalia...
"Never mind that for now — this is the thing I want to put up for auction. Tell me whether it’s possible for me to enter it or not."
Dalia took the small box from Vaelor and opened it, furrowing her brows at the sight of what was inside, but soon her eyes began widening in astonishment — for the first time since meeting Vaelor — and she looked at him with a hint of terror...
"Are you certain you want to put something like this up for auction?!"
"Yes, certainly. If I weren’t certain, why would I be showing it to you?" Vaelor nodded and spoke with confidence, affirming his stance.
"This isn’t something I can decide myself — I’ll need to go back to the Ancestor’s will and inform them of this," Dalia shook her head, then looked at Vaelor, "But what I can confirm to you is that it will most likely be accepted into the auction... at least with a ninety-nine percent probability!"
