Chapter 896: Chapter 867: Teacher

In the days without Chen Feng, Order didn’t undergo much change. Even though it’s now the winter season, everyone is still enthusiastically engaged in activities.

This is simply an unimaginable scene in the post-apocalyptic world.

When the apocalypse struck, technology regressed, and most forces relied on the warmer seasons to stockpile food. During the cold winters, even the active beasts and insects mostly went into hibernation, making food difficult to find. To conserve energy, most people chose to stay cooped up in their dwellings to maintain their strength.

But Order was different. Even though the temperature outside had dropped to about minus twenty degrees, the streets were still bustling with people moving back and forth, creating a remarkably lively scene.

Order had built some new factories, greatly expanding the options available to survivors.

Food factories, cement plants, slaughterhouses... and so on. As long as they had hands and feet and were willing to work, anyone could fill their bellies on this land and even... have the chance to accumulate some wealth, to buy the things they needed, such as weapons, armor, or even a piece of land truly their own.

The population was gradually increasing, and Order couldn’t achieve perfection. Even if survivors could obtain a free house, it would only be a place of about twenty square meters to rest their heads.

It’s quite common for a family of three or four to be squeezed together.

Of course, if tired of this kind of life, they could purchase a larger home for themselves.

But that would require wealth!

Humans have never been easily satisfied creatures. They will use various methods to ensure their lives are comfortable.

In the past, when the world collapsed, having a stable spot was already considered a luxury, and who dared to dream of a better life?

But this is Order! A force governed by Chen Feng, whose powerful strength is the support of this city. Because of this sense of security, people are trying to find a higher degree of enjoyment.

Setting up factories, encouraging consumption, what Chen Feng needed to do now was stimulate the economy in the shortest time. He wanted to put a pair of wings on this behemoth named Order, letting it soar high!

This needed some time.

But Chen Feng had found the right direction. Whether it was factories or private land, this would become fresh blood injected into the body of the behemoth named Order.

Chen Feng’s ultimate goal was not to harbor a group of cowards who had lost their courage; he wanted to break through and stand tall, creating a brand-new civilization in this new era!

This ambition is enormous, maybe even a bit insane, but Chen Feng believed he could succeed. After all, the Order in front of him had already gotten on the right track. What he needed to do now was nothing more than to give it enough time to accomplish this!

...............

"It’s snowing!" At the street corner, a group of children who had just finished school shouted with excitement as they looked at the snowflakes falling from the sky.

Tuition is free!

Order should not only last for decades. For Chen Feng, in his mind, he had already constructed a plan for the next hundred years long ago.

Education needs to start with children.

The first survivors of Order would eventually grow old. Compared to a group of godless atheists who did not understand reverence, children are undoubtedly like a blank slate; whatever is written on it will become its shape!

Chen Feng didn’t crazily nurture the children into killers like in the Sea God’s Residence, but instead offered many courses, passing on knowledge while also starting combat lessons.

Additionally, there were many special teachings not seen in the peaceful times.

"Goodbye, Teacher Jie!"

"We’re leaving, Teacher Jie."

"See you tomorrow, Teacher Jie!"

A string of farewells came from the children’s mouths, and the individual referred to as Teacher Jie stood not far away. She had long, straight legs and a very tall figure that could rival any supermodel, appearing to be a rare beauty.

But on top of the head of this beautiful person were two pointed horns, and there was a tail flexibly swaying behind her hips.

This was clearly not a human, but rather an Enchanting Demon from the Abyss!

That’s right!

The one called Teacher Jie by the children was a physical education teacher, whose true identity was indeed an Enchanting Demon!

A demon in the human world becoming a physical education teacher?

In ordinary forces, this would be utterly impossible, but this was Order, a place where miracles happen!

Anything impossible in the eyes of secular people might come true here.

Order was a multi-element force, including not only humans but also natives, goblins, ogres, and demons.

Previously, possessing a Mind-Reading Demon, Chen Feng largely summoned demons as slaves, and with time, some High-tier Demons were also summoned. Compared to low-tier demons, High-tier Demons obviously possessed higher intelligence.

Though demons are naturally cruel and chaotic, High-tier Demons had considerable intelligence, especially the Enchanting Demons, who resembled humans in appearance, and whose destructive power wasn’t particularly significant. Therefore, after some observation, a few Enchanting Demons were promoted to foremen, overseeing demon slaves under them.

Low-tier Demons were truly wretched, cruel street rats, who perhaps didn’t understand gratitude but understood death and pain.

The Enchanting Demons’ whip became the driving force for their labor. Thus, demons watching over demons reduced the Mind-Reading Demon’s burden until it perished.

Like humans, intelligent demons had no shortage of ambition.

Some Enchanting Demons grew tired of the monotonous management life and sought a better life, having had enough of days with low-tier demons.

Order allowed Dimensional Life forms to take jobs but required a thorough vetting process.

After working in Order for a full year, without any bad records, and passing the year-end assessment with excellence, they had the opportunity to apply for other jobs.

Jie was considered an outlier among demons. She didn’t like to kill or torture, and her innate charm wasn’t very honed. More often, she liked to daydream alone and raise small animals.

She hated the noise made by demons, so when her one-year tenure ended, she applied for a transfer without hesitation. Any job was fine as long as it let her escape the life she loathed!

Perhaps her peculiar personality had become known, so an Enchanting Demon was exceptionally assigned a teaching position.

She even received a name of her own, "Jie."

Standing on the steps, Jie watched the children walking away with their backpacks, a warm smile involuntarily spreading across her lips. She had never thought there would be such life forms outside the Abyss.

The work she engaged in involved no killing or betrayal, merely daily teaching. She witnessed the children’s growth and enjoyed being addressed as such.

"Teacher?"

Jie smiled genuinely. She liked this title, and if possible, she wished to live here indefinitely.
