252 252: A nest of humans [pt1]
“Looks like we have some guests here among us. Now, what should we do with them? They look so fancy that I can feel my mouth watering.”
One of the more buffed women in the group said those words. Her tongue came out to lick her lips as she stared Aurora’s group down. She looked overconfident in her abilities.
But Aurora was not intimidated in the least. There was no need to pay attention to these low lives that were stationed on this floor.
These people were only stationed on this floor because they were too weak to be taken into the deeper abyss. Aurora did not even need to pay attention to these kids to force her way in.
She just needed to demonstrate that her abilities exceeded these kids and the leader of this floor would show themselves.
“Leave these small fries to me. I will take care of them in an instant….Wowowo. What do you think you are doing Aurora? You will burn them all to a crisp.”
Rita warned as soon as she felt Aurora’s magic surge inside her body. It was taking a physical form as well.
But despite this warning, Aurora did not stop. She could not afford to stop because she needed to show off right now.
“I know how capable you are Rita. But allow me to take care of this situation. I need to teach these kids a lesson.”
Aurora allowed her magic to surge wildly. She could see fear in those kids’ eyes and it felt good to be held high in their regard.
These kids were lucky that Aurora had no intention of killing them. Otherwise, their lack of fear would have spelled their end for them.
“Is that all there is to your power? Even a kid won’t be afraid of you…”
The woman did not get to finish her words before her mouth was full of blood. Her brain might not have felt the magic surging but her body could not handle it.
In the end, the organs could no longer hold their own under that much pressure and ended up capturing instead.
And not only her. The others showed similar outcomes when they tried to breathe in the air. No one could hold on to their wounded body for long.
Aurora did not spare them any face as well. She walked toward the buffed female from before and pushed her a little.
Aurora’s force was not great, but the buff female still found herself stumbling a little until she landed on her ass.
She looked up toward Aurora but flinched as soon as she saw that face covered in shadows. It was then she realized that she had made a mistake by challenging this person.
“Give up. You are not my match and you will only get hurt if you push yourself anymore.”
Aurora warned and the female flinched. Still, she did not seem to be defeated which was a shame. Aurora did not want to drag this fight out any longer when the other side had lost.
“Don’t joke with me. How could I lose to someone like you? You need to learn your place and-“
Aurora punched the female and she lost consciousness. It had been a light punch as well, with not a lot of force used.
But the human was still not able to withstand that much force.
“Anyone else who wants to get a taste of my fist?”
No one sped forward and Aurora had not expected them to either. These people liked to talk big but they did not have enough magic. The only thing they could do was threaten people in a group.
One of the unlucky ones in the group tried to take out Ava since she looked like a fragile beauty but she was knocked out cold before she could achieve her goal.
Ava was not a damsel in disaster and she showed it in the field quite nicely.
“Oops, I think I over-did it a little. Do you think this man will have brain damage now?”
Ava asked as she picked up the unconscious person quite roughly. She had no mercy for the poor man and she even demonstrated that by snapping his poor wrist.
The man cried out in pain as he held his broken wrist. He looked toward Ava as of she was a demon who had come ahead to kill him.
“What is wrong? Am I no longer a fragile maiden in your eyes? Can you not take me on all by yourself?”
The man stepped a few steps back as he watched Ava approach her. It was entertaining for a few seconds before Ava made a bored face and faked a yawn.
“Well, looks like that was all these poor kids had. So, is anyone else going to step forward or should I consider you all as too afraid to face me? What was the word? Are you all pansies?”
Ava taunted. Aurora could tell that the overlooker was having a little too much fun with everything that was happening.
But there was a thin line between fun and snapping when it came to Ava. And Aurora had a feeling that she was approaching her line of patience quite fast.
So she needed to interfere before Ava hit her bottom and all these poor kids ended up dead.
“Alright, I think we both have played enough by now. So, why don’t you come forward and show yourself now? You would not want me to come to you, right?”
Aurora could feel that conflicted emotions rushing toward her. The leader of these people had been hiding among them for some time and Aurora was going to force them out right now.
She did not have much time or patience to deal with these kids.
“This is your last warning. If you did not come out now, then you can kiss this place goodbye. I won’t show you any mercy…..”
Aurora did not need to threaten the head for long. The wall parted and a fat man panted as he ran out.
“P-Please stop. Don’t knock everything down. I will give you what you want. Our boss wants to see you as well.”
Aurora stopped gathering magic but she did not let her guard down. For all she knew, this could be a trap she was being forced to step into.
She gave the man a toxic glare and she watched as he shrank. There was a feeling of real fear surrounding him and he was sweating as well.
‘It doesn’t feel like this man is lying. Well, I guess I will bite the bait now.’
Rita gave Aurora a look that said that she was waiting for Aurora to decide what to do next. Once she got a ‘go ahead’ from Aurora, she let the person she had taken hostage go.
At the same time, Ava also stopped showing her threatening side. Things had calmed down in a second and everyone could see who the real leader behind this all was.
“Now then, take me to your leader, and don’t try anything funny. I am not a nice person so you all won’t get a second chance.”
The man gulped as he realized that Aurora was rather uninterested in his well-being. And truly, Aurora did not care about him in the least.
What she wanted had already been established by just standing here and letting her powers speak.
The man parted the curtains and gestured for Aurora to go ahead. Aurora did not keep him waiting but Rita did trip the man just for his amusement.
That poor man fell in Ava’s way who gave him no face by stepping all over his back.
In this way, the man had no other choice but to faint if he wanted to keep his dignity. But no one paid any attention to him.
They were all watching the trio walk into the secret room even though they had not been allowed in. everyone was rather bitter to see this happen but no one dared to object.
Not when they were defeated by these very people. And no one dared to open their mouth and call for their leader either. Especially since they would be the ones whom the leader will kill first.
But Aurora had nothing like that on their mind when she walked through the door. She was certain she knew who was the current leader at this time and Aurora had an important bargaining chip in her hand.
If she was right, then the current leader of these people was supposed to die pretty soon due to an illness.
It was not something that could be treated right now but Aurora was from the future that had a cure for it.
As such, she was going to negotiate the cure for a way to clear the scenario was would soon have to participate. And the only way to clear it was to seek help from these people.
A lot of manpower would be needed by Aurora and what better place to get it from than these people who would owe her soon?
