158 158: The Auction house - part 1
Rita’s startled look at the sudden kiss brought a laugh to Aurora’s face. Rita was making such an interesting face that Aurora could not help but pull her back into another kiss.
“H-Hey, what are you doing? I thought you said that you will not do anything.”
Aurora could not help but compare Rita to an offended cat. A big and fluffy, red-haired cat that had been offended by Aurora was trying to hiss at her to hide her discomfort.
“But I didn’t jump you, I just pulled you into a kiss. That is not the same thing, right?”
“No, it’s not. But that is not the point. I will end up getting hard again if you do that and we do not have time for this.”
Aurora wanted to tease Rita more but her words made Aurora sober up. Rita was right when she said that they did not have time. The auction would start in under an hour and Aurora still needed to get ready.
They still needed to acquire their items for the auction from the meeting spot and then head to the main location.
“I wish we had time for this as well but it will be better for us to get going now. This is the whole reason we came to this floor.”
Aurora signed but agreed to leave the room after hearing Rita out. As much as she wanted to sit there and listen to Rita more, she knew that she had a task to complete..
“You are right. My mind was a little messy before but it is clearing up now. We should start heading out now.”
Aurora waved her hand to clean the pair up. This spell was not one she liked to use often but this was an emergency.
“Wow, this is handy. You should use it more often if you have something useful in your arsenal.”
“I don’t like to use this spell since it leaves me feeling slimy afterward. Don’t get used to this,”
Aurora quickly shot down Rita and proceeded to open the door. She could feel something heavy blocking the door from the other side but it did not stop Aurora from opening the door.
“My lady, have you changed your mind about-“
A pair of beautiful and seductive green eyes met her but they faltered as soon as they saw her.
The half-naked girl seemed to be taken aback at seeing Aurora come out of Rita’s room. Her eyes darted to Rita standing at Aurora’s back and then back at Aurora again.
“What is wrong with you? Didn’t I tell you that I wanted nothing to do with you? Why are you still waiting here?”
The girl flushed a bright red, finally realizing the situation.
Maybe she had not taken account of an unconscious person in Rita’s hands before. After all, she had many customers who arrived with their love-interest unconscious but liked to fucked the others before doing it with their interest.
Those customers generally deployed a prostitute to ‘take the edge off before being with their love interest. The prostitute had thought of it to be a similar situation.
But it seemed like she had made a big mistake.
“A-Ah, I’m sorry. I made a mistake and I’m sorry for that. I should get going now.”
The girl turned tail faster than Aurora could even say anything. She looked hesitant to even be in the same company which was suspicious.
“Rita, do I smell or something? That girl ran as if her hair was on fire.”
“Huh? Oh her? Let her go. She’s likely too embarrassed to even show her face right now.”
Aurora just shook her head. Since she was unconscious most of the time, she had no idea what was going on. Nor did she care much about what was going on.
“We should get going now. Did you pay for the whole night?”
“Yes, I did. They might have charged me extra but I decided not to negotiate for now. I was kind of in a hurry.”
“Doesn’t matter. We will come back here after the auction is over anyway. I have a few uses for this place.”
Aurora did not remember this place but she did know one thing – this place was a gold mine of information. All kinds of people came here to gather information.
As such, Aurora needed to have a few of her ears in here to gather more information. And also, the brothels were the only place that did not disappear when the night market disappeared.
It was a well-known secret that if you remained in the brothel rooms during the night-market disappearance, you will disappear with it and never be seen again.
No one had returned alive from spending a day in these rooms before.
“I guess it won’t matter much if we came back here or not. But I have a feeling you are planning something crazy which I would not like one bit.”
Rita had really sharp instincts to be able to feel that bad feeling. Aurora gave her a reassuring smile which did not reassure Aurora at all.
But despite all that, Rita followed Aurora to the exchange location and collected their gear.
The dress code for the auction horse was a white mask and a black overall robe that hide your real identity. The only way to be recognized inside the auction was through your number and Aurora’s was coincidently 69 while Rita had 70.
“Don’t say a single word about this or you will live your life in pain from now on.”
“I was not going to say anything. But maybe this number does suit you a little.”
“Rita, do you want to die? There are other more painless ways to ask for death, you know.”
“Fine, I will keep quiet now…..The number does suit you well.”
Aurora made a fake motion of capturing Rita but she got up pretty early. The auction was about to start any second now and Aurora did not have the time to play around.
She quickly headed to her seat once the auction started and waited for the others to sit down as well. The auction would not start unless there was a 50% attendance ratio.
And the number was about to be achieved any minute now.
(Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to tonight’s auction. Tonight, we have a special item you all might like to have so look forward to it.
And now, without further delay, let the auction start. I hope you all can find what you are looking for tonight.)
The seller’s voice gave off an ominous feeling but Aurora held on to her seat and did not get taken away by his flow.
It would be a tough auction for sure but Aurora was ready for this situation.
