Chapter 1797: Resurrection Art

Nine Snakes's words chilled the hearts of the living creatures of the East Divine Continent. This meant that if someone wanted to truly kill it, they would have to do so nine times, severing all of its tails.

This was an incredibly difficult task. Even an unparalleled genius like Li Luo had to exhaust all of his methods and sacrificially ignite his entire body, only to merely take one of its lives. Without him, was anyone capable of replicating such a feat? This realization left everyone completely discouraged.

"What a pity that such an exceptional talent perished. If he was truly allowed to mature, it would be the second coming of the Legendary Sect Master," said Nine Snakes as it mercilessly glared at the people of the East Divine Continent. "However, now that I've lost a tail, I'll have to use the flesh and blood of the people of this continent to regrow it."

With Li Luo's fall, the East Divine Continent had no one left to stop it. This also meant that this core of the Immemorial World Divine Devil Trapping Formation could no longer be protected.

Nine Snakes strode down from the sky atop blood lotuses, watched by eyes filled with despair and fear. A massacre was undoubtedly about to unfold.

Lu Qing'er's icy eyes were fixated on Nine Snakes. Flames made of ice slowly rose up. Her Genesis Seed appeared between her eyebrows and was ignited without hesitation, sending terrifying Ice Authority up into the air.

"Oh? A perfect acquired Genesis Seed? Do you intend to sacrifice yourself as well? Unfortunately, you don't have the power to make me lose even a single tail," said Nine Snakes as it smirked mirthlessly.

Lu Qing'er, on the other hand, ignored its mocking words. At this moment, her heart had turned deathly still and the Ice Authority she was capable of harnessing was even more forceful than before. With Li Luo's fall, she would continue his legacy. After all, only death awaited her and everyone else. There was nothing left now.

Her Genesis Seed erupted with all of its might. However, at that moment, a hand reached out from behind her, pressing down on her shoulder. A mighty force swept out, forcefully suppressing the Genesis Seed and preventing it from exploding.

"As I said, you're a little too arrogant. Nine lives is a lot, but unfortunately..." A soft laugh rang out, causing everyone to feel as though they had been struck by a bolt of lightning, eyes filled with disbelief.

Nine Snakes' gloomy smile stiffened when it saw who was behind Lu Qing'er. It was Li Luo, the one who should have blown himself up with his own suicide attack! When the handsome youth raised his head to meet its gaze, his mouth curled up into a casual and mocking smile.

"Your granddaddy has a resurrection art," he said

Li Luo's simple words left everyone in complete disbelief. How had he survived after using a self-destructive attack? The charcoals of despair in everyone's hearts had reignited into blazing flames of hope. His resurrection was incomprehensible, but it still elicited great joy in everyone present. Hope shone brightly once again!

Yu Lang, who had been filled with grief and heartbreak, was left dumbfounded. "Damn it! Something like that exists?"

Li Luo's methods were simply otherworldly. Possessing a resurrection art was akin to being that of a god. Nine Snakes' nine lives had already shocked everyone, but Li Luo was even more mindblowing—he could reconstruct himself after blowing himself up! That was cheating!

Meanwhile, Nine Snakes was even more surprised, momentarily falling into a daze. Searching its inherited memories from the Shadow World, it had never seen a being capable of something like this. Someone who could resurrect himself after self-detonating? That ability was more ridiculous than what the Others possessed.

"That is impossible! You're merely a remnant spirit trying to shake me!" Nine Snakes roared defiantly.

A moment later, its Divine Fruit Authority surged out, transforming into a fleshy devil palm that swatted towards Li Luo. The void behind Li Luo rumbled as the ancient Absolute Resonance Halo emerged, causing immense amounts of Authority to pour out, colliding and overcoming the fleshy devil palm.

Nine Snakes' expression turned ugly, as this unique power could only belong to Li Luo. It seemed that Li Luo had recovered completely, along with the Absolute Resonance Halo, which had been destroyed after igniting all twelve of his resonances.

The sudden and dramatic turn of events left even Nine Snakes stunned. Were there truly such mindboggling powers in this world? If Li Luo could truly be resurrected continuously, wouldn't he be even harder to kill him than a Divine Fruit Heavenly Emperor?

As Nine Snakes sorted out its turbulent thoughts, Li Luo looked at Lu Qing'er and smiled. "There's no need to sacrifice yourself at the drop of a hat. You won't be able to do what I can do."

She stared blankly at his handsome face, her eyes trembling slightly. Her lips quivered, but she didn't say anything. She then turned to the side and removed Li Luo's hand.

He stepped closer and asked, "Were your emotions not sealed off completely?"

Li Luo had sensed the tumultuous and intense emotions that had flooded Lu Qing'er's heart when she thought he was dead. However, her expression remained placid, and she didn't reply to him. Li Luo helplessly smiled. Without speaking further, he rose into the sky, causing the Absolute Resonance Halo to undergo Resonance Reversal with all twelve resonances once again.

Nine Snakes observed the Absolute Resonance Halo with its crimson eyes. The destructive power of Li Luo's strongest attack had left a visceral impression on its very body. Seeing it again made it feel an urge to drop everything and leave right away.

"Do you understand now?" asked Li Luo, laughing.

Nine Snakes took a deep breath as it glared at him malevolently and mercilessly. "There is no chance you can resurrect yourself without any drawbacks."

Even the Sect Master of the Sacred Void Resonance was unable to replicate such a feat. On top of that, Li Luo only possessed four Authorities and had yet to even nurture his own Divine Fruit, so how was he able to revive?

"I don't need to resurrect forever. I just need to do it one more time than you," Li Luo nonchalantly replied.

No longer hesitating, his body expanded, turning into a Heavenly Dragon. The Twelve Resonances Emperor Wheel was once again branded onto his body, its devastating might sweeping through the void. The Heavenly Dragon bore the wheel, blazing forward in a streak of light as it rushed towards Nine Snakes fearlessly.

The East Divine Continent's living creatures held their breaths as this scene unfolded. Even some of the Heavenly Emperors on the other divine continents were starting to pay attention to what was happening.

Nine Snakes was infuriated by this. The power Li Luo possessed was terrifying. Once this attack started, it was capable of shaking even the heavens and the earth, sealing off the void and preventing anyone from hiding.

"I want to see just how many times you can revive yourself!" roared Nine Snakes.

It no longer had any room to escape, so all it could do was activate its Divine Fruit, pushing its strength to the limit in order to resist Li Luo's kamikaze move.

Weng!

Fearsome amounts of Authority flooded the battlefield once again. In the depths of the void, two figures who shone brilliantly with immense power had vanished yet again.

However, the living creatures below were no longer despondent. Instead, they watched the sky with a hint of anticipation and worry.

Yu Lang wiped the cold sweat off his forehead as he said, "You damn brat, you better resurrect yourself."

The entire East Divine Continent fell silent. The peace only lasted for about the time needed for half an incense stick to burn.

Two locations in the void started to distort, then a smirking Li Luo and a gloomy Nine Snakes reappeared at the same time. Everyone could see that Nine Snakes only had seven giant serpent tails now. Clearly, Li Luo's attack had taken yet another one of Nine Snakes' lives.

The mood in the East Divine Continent soared.
