Chapter 1773: Reunion

Each falling star represented a Heavenly Emperor returning. Tens of dazzling meteors arced across the sky, each radiating immense power, causing the countless living beings of the divine continents to cheerfully cry out.

As the true pinnacle experts of this world, Heavenly Emperors were respected by all living beings. They were akin to deities, the true masters and protectors of the divine continents.

During the Ten Years of Heavenly Fate, there were no traces of Heavenly Emperors throughout the divine continents. Even though no Grand Devil Kings could descend either, the living creatures felt uneasy knowing that no Heavenly Emperors were watching over their safety, especially in such times.

As the spiritual leaders, the Heavenly Emperors returned from the Nobles' Battlefield as soon as the edict's effect wore off. The next step was to prepare for the Shadow World's inevitable assault.

Within the Spiritual Resonance Cave, Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e were quietly observing the shower of shooting stars. With their current strength, their sight could easily penetrate through the layer of Authority that surrounded each of the meteors to see what was inside. They could even see the people inside them clearly.

The people they were observing could see them too. Most of the once seemingly invincible Heavenly Emperors couldn't make them feel threatened in any way anymore. The only exceptions were the two particularly bright stars that they had to concentrate on.

"Two Divine Fruit Heavenly Emperors, twenty ordinary Heavenly Emperors," said Li Luo, sighing.

The people in the shooting stars were the foundations that the ten divine continents depended on and accumulated since ancient times. Even so, there were fewer than two dozen of them after such a long period of time.

It was clear that Heavenly Emperors were truly akin to gods to the common living creatures that inhabited the world. Li Luo, Jiang Qing'e, and Lu Qing'er, who belonged to the youngest generation, had only taken a few decades to enter the Heavenly Emperor Stage. "There should be one more Divine Fruit Heavenly Emperor and a few others that have not returned. I suppose they've chosen to remain in the Nobles' Battlefield to monitor the critical areas. They can't give up every location so easily," said Jiang Qing'e.

As Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e were speaking, the descending stars began to slow down and their dazzling radiance receded. Before the awe-struck eyes of the world, tens of heroic figures stood tall in the sky. After which, hearty laughter rang out, accompanied by a warm greeting that was transmitted into every living being's ears.

"Hahaha! Congratulations, new Heavenly Emperors. You're a welcome addition to our forces. This is a cause for celebration."

Everyone was familiar with that voice. It belonged to none other than the head of the Heavenly Emperors, Heavenly Emperor Jiang.

"I would like to cordially invite all of you to the Spiritual Resonance Cave to discuss further," Heavenly Emperor Jiang said slowly.

The entire group of stars twinkled as they traversed through space, appearing before the Spiritual Resonance Cave in just a few tens of breaths. The recently advanced Li Taixuan, Qi Huang, Lu Qing'er, Zhen Linshuang, Wang Xuanjin, and Golden Winged Peng Elder revealed their control over their Authority, shuttling through space and swiftly appearing at the designated location.

At this moment, the pinnacle experts of the divine continents had all gathered outside the cave from antiquity. It was truly a meeting of the most powerful experts of the world. Only Heavenly Emperors were qualified to participate in it.

Inside the Spiritual Resonance Cave, the void before Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e parted as several channels opened up. A woman wearing a purple coat was the first to walk out of one of the spatial channels. A moment later, the duo were excited to hear a familiar laugh reach their ears.

"You two little brats, you've outdone yourselves. You've actually surpassed me in just ten short years," she said.

"Mother!" they called out in joy.

Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e couldn't stop themselves from grinning as they looked at the beautiful and graceful lady. Indeed, this lady was none other than Tantai Lan, who had been separated from them years prior.

She laughed happily as she appeared before the duo, her gorgeous eyes filled with warmth and appreciation as she looked at her children.

Jiang Qing'e embraced Tantai Lan, causing the latter's eyes to soften. It was almost as though they had gone back in time. Tantai Lan gently patted Jiang Qing'e's back before letting go.

"Mother, have you become a Heavenly Emperor as well?" asked Li Luo, closely observing his mother.

He could sense the boundless power of Authority radiating off her, something that a ninth-grade Transcendent couldn't do. Thus, it was clear that she had similarly obtained a generous blessing at the conclusion of the Ten Years of Heavenly Fate.

"I'm merely a Three Authority Heavenly Emperor, not on par with you little ones," answered Tantai Lan, pouting in dissatisfaction.

Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e smiled. As the three of them caught up, an impatient voice rang out.

"Ah Lan! Didn't you miss me?"

Li Taixuan flew out of a spatial vortex and tried to pounce on Tantai Lan. She lifted her hand in annoyance, directly grabbing Li Taixuan's collar. However, the latter stretched his arms out at that moment, grabbing Tantai Lan in a bear hug.

Li Taixuan took a deep breath and announced affectionately, "Ah Lan, you must know that when I was completing my ascension to the Heavenly Emperor Stage, the Heavenly Emperor's Demons took your form. I had a hard time hitting them!"

The two children glanced at each other and secretly shuddered. Their old man was simply beyond corny. It had to be because he was growing older.

Tantai Lan rolled her eyes, saying, "You can never act properly."

Despite the embarrassment, she didn't push him away, and actually held his hand tightly. Clearly, they deeply longed for each other.

"Father, Mother, now that I think about it, our family hasn't come together for almost twenty years," said Li Luo with a hint of emotion as he looked at the three important people in his life. Ever since Li Taixuan and Tan Tailan had hurriedly left House Luolan for the Nobles' Battlefield, their warm little family had been separated for decades.

When Li Taixuan and Tantai Lan heard his words, they hesitated briefly as they thought about it. Time had flown by after they left, and their children had become true experts that surpassed them.

Jiang Qing'e lightly bit her lip, her eyes filled with nostalgia for the laughs their little family shared.

"These years have been tough on you. Our family will never separate again," said Tantai Lan, stretching out her hand and gently caressing Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e's faces.

Li Taixuan similarly smiled confidently. "Our family has four Heavenly Emperors. No matter what dire situation we're faced with in the future, we'll confront it hand-in-hand."

One family with four Heavenly Emperors was unprecedented throughout history.

Li Luo smiled and nodded, then his expression changed as he lightly coughed and hurriedly said, "Old man."

Li Taixuan suddenly sensed something, and he looked towards another opening in the void not far away. An elderly man with a stern expression that instilled fear in others slowly walked out of it—Li Jingzhe. He stood not far away, looking at the reunited family with a desolate expression without saying a word.

Tantai Lan lightly coughed. Li Taixuan scratched his head before turning to immediately reprimand Li Luo. "You little brat. How uninformed can you be? What do you mean a family of four Heavenly Emperors? Your grandpa is also a Heavenly Emperor! How could you not count him?"

Li Luo's lips twitched and he couldn't be bothered to retort. Instead, he beamed happily and asked, "Grandpa, do you see this? Your grandson has become an awesome Four Authority Heavenly Emperor. Isn't that impressive?"

Li Jingzhe's icy expression gradually thawed. He hesitated for a moment before taking a step forward, reappearing next to the group. Then he said, with a look of pride and appreciation, "Little Luo, Qing'e, I am very proud of what you've achieved."

Tantai Lan nodded at him and took the initiative to greet him. "Father."

The relationship between her and Li Jingzhe had long improved, especially after spending years in the Nobles' Battlefield. She had even joined hands with him to face off against the Grand Devil Kings from time to time.

On the contrary, it was Li Taixuan who had not seen Li Jingzhe in years. Thus, he felt a little guilty when facing him. He bowed slightly and respectfully said, "Father, it has been many years. I hope that you have been at peace and well."
