Chapter 1745: Torch Dragon Appears

A pair of beautiful and brightly colored butterfly wings opened up behind Bai Mengmeng. At the same time, a terrifying force swept out of her body like a storm. The three Devil Kings of Sin revealed looks of fear. This was because there were incredible amounts of illusion source origin contained within the dust, originating from the Heavenly Demon Rainbow Butterfly's strength. It was powerful enough to cause even peak existences like them to fall into a multi-layered illusion. They would then proceed to inevitably sink further and further into its depths, losing their minds. Normally speaking, a Supreme Devil King would not easily succumb to something like this, but they would have to split their attention from the encroaching frost to deal with the illusion.

When Lu Qing'er saw this, she quickly took advantage of the opening. She ignored the blood flowing from her mouth, and her Genesis Seed, in the form of the frozen lotus, began to shine even more brightly. Gradually, an icy blue flame appeared in the middle of the petals.

She had used all of her strength to direct the power of the Paragon Seal of Authority to bolster the Frozen Nightmare Transcendent Art. The frost that had previously stopped spreading on the bodies of the Devil Kings of Sin began to move once again.

The three Devil Kings of Sin didn't plan to sit and await death, so they began to struggle, attempting to free themselves from Lu Qing'er and Bai Mengmeng's joint efforts to freeze and ensnare them in an illusion.

Both sides were doing their best, and seeing that Bai Mengmeng had alleviated the pressure on Lu Qing'er brought great joy to the combatants on their side. The frost sealing that carried the power of Authority began to show its might as it continued to spread bit by bit, eventually completely encasing the three Devil Kings of Sin.

Lu Qing'er and the three Devil Kings of Sin were now completely frozen! Four life-like sculptures had appeared on the battlefield, and the raging corruption source origin came to an abrupt stop.

The gorgeous butterfly wings behind Bai Mengmeng swiftly turned illusory and then dissipated. Her petite figure descended onto the ground, her face pale and her forehead dotted with sweat.

Yu Lang rushed forward as he anxiously asked, "Are you alright, Mengmeng?" Before coming here, Bai Doudou had reminded him to take care of Mengmeng. If anything happened to her sister, her anger with him would be eternal.

Bai Mengmeng nodded as she unconsciously touched her lower abdomen. If one were to take off her clothes at this point of time, they would realize that butterfly patterns were appearing on her skin. This was a sign of her body being eroded by Rainbow Butterfly's power.

Rainbow Butterfly was currently in slumber, and using her terrifying power naturally came with a price. If Bai Mengmeng continued to do so, she would transform into a half-human, half-butterfly creature. They never thought that two little maidens would manage to seal the three Devil Kings of Sin in such a critical situation, putting a forceful halt to things.

Just as their morale started to rise again, they did not notice that wisps of black flames were seeping out of the void around the three frozen Devil Kings of Sin. The black flames seemed to contain a mind of their own as they caressed the sculptures like tentacles. Soon after, the ice which was imbued with Authority started to show signs of melting.

As the ice melted, corruption source origin started to surge into the world yet again. Ling Xuan and Xiao Lingzhu immediately noticed the change and attempted to take action. "Who is doing that?"

Two streams of source origin blasted the void apart, streaking towards the source of the disturbance. Despite the two peak Triple Crowned Kings taking action jointly, their attacks suddenly paused before they could travel very far. After which, black flames appeared, wrapping around the source origin attacks and incinerating them into nothingness.

"Hehe, with how exciting things have gotten. Have you forgotten about the Origin Reversion Institute?" Casual laughter drifted out of the black flames.

The expressions of the countless experts within the barrier sank upon hearing those words. The strongest Kings all had ugly looks on their faces. "Torch Dragon Underworld King!"

The Torch Dragon Underworld King was the only member of the Origin Reversion Institute who was capable of casually mitigating their attacks. Clearly, the Origin Reversion Institute had long hidden itself within the Heavenly Star Plains. That said, they had chosen not to reveal themselves, only quietly watching the conflict until now.

Ling Xuan and the other experts watched the void split open not too far away, and black flames leaked out. A humongous black serpent that one couldn't see the end of slithered out. It truly was the Torch Dragon Underworld King, and in his true form, no less.

The first thing he did was look around, taking account of the battles between Supreme Triple Crowned Kings. His expression shifted slightly upon getting an understanding of the situation. Jiang Qing'e, despite only being a peak eighth-grade Transcendent Duke, was currently suppressing the Illusion Devil King of Sin!

"I was expecting a massive slaughter, but it looks like these two little dolls ruined everything," said the Torch Dragon Underworld King with some surprise as he retracted his gaze, turning his attention towards the frozen Lu Qing'er and the weakened Bai Mengmeng.

He had been hiding in the dark, waiting for the three Devil Kings of Sin to wreak havoc and draw out the divine continents' trump cards. His hope was that they would ruin the Ten Continents Universe Rampart. Alas, the two girls had caused his expectations to fall flat. Thus, it was necessary for him to reveal himself now.

"Such a seal simply cannot be allowed to exist," said the Torch Dragon Underworld King with a grin, but his eyes held no hint of a smile, only indifference. He then formed a hand seal.

Weng!

Black flames erupted for tens of thousands of miles around him, intertwining and forming a black furnace. The furnace formed itself around the three Devil Kings of Sin.

A low furious roar rumbled from the depths of the void. "TORCH DRAGON!" It was Qi Huang!

The Torch Dragon Underworld King grinned mirthlessly. "Qi Huang, you should focus on the Slaughter Devil King of Sin. That is an opponent that can truly defeat you." He then activated the furnace. Endless waves of black flames swept out, enveloping the frozen Devil Kings. The rate at which the ice melted accelerated, and in just a few short moments, the corruption source origin started returning to the battlefield.

Looks of despair arose in the eyes of the soldiers. They had expended all sorts of methods and sacrificed a great deal, all in order to barely seal these enemies. Alas, the Torch Dragon Underworld King was about to undo everything!

As the Devil Kings were freed from their seals, Lu Qing'er also began to thaw. Her Genesis Seed dimmed greatly and the Paragon Seal of Authority shattered. She spat out a mouthful of blood before entering a coughing fit. Blood continued to drip from between her fingers, and her long, blue hair began to show signs of whitening at the temples. She had sacrificed part of her own foundation to seal these mighty opponents, but who could have known that an external force would ruin everything? She had done her absolute best, considering that she was only an eighth-grade Transcendent Duke.

"The three of you better stop messing around now. We must destroy the Ten Continents Universe Rampart, because the withering glory resonance is about to appear," said the Torch Dragon Underworld King with a smirk.

The Devil Kings of Sin glanced at him, their expressions lacking any sort of gratitude. After all, they saw living beings as mere cattle for producing negative emotions, even though they were temporarily allied. It was like looking at a fowl who laid eggs for them.

That said, the Torch Dragon Underworld King was right. They had been held here for far too long, and it was paramount that the formation was destroyed. That way, the defensive line across the Heavenly Star Plains would also be destroyed. This was their top priority. The three Devil Kings of Sin ignored all the weaker combatants and wrapped themselves in incredible amounts of corruption as they moved towards the portal of the Ten Continents Universe Rampart.

When Ling Xuan and Xiao Lingzhu saw this, they immediately summoned up all their source origin in an attempt to resist. Unfortunately, their feeble attacks were instantly incinerated by the surging black flames yet again. The Torch Dragon Underworld King wasn't planning to sit idle.

Furthermore, the void behind the Torch Dragon Underworld King began to rip open, and multiple people strode out, each emanating mighty source origin fluctuations. They immediately started to intercept the numerous Kings from the divine continent coalition.

These were the experts of the Origin Reversion Institute, and there were a few familiar faces among them like the Demonic Flame Underworld King, Qin Jiujie, and the Spirit Eye Underworld King. The Origin Reversion Institute had come out in full force, undoubtedly multiplying the immense pressure the divine continent forces were under, and striking a massive blow to their morale. An intense and chaotic battle immediately unfolded.

Meanwhile, the Devil Kings of Sin made their way to the portal before everyone's despairing eyes. If they destroyed this particular location, the Universe Rampart would be destroyed to some extent and the defensive line would crumble.

Horrifying amounts of corruption source origin started to condense within the Devil Kings' hands. Desperation and disheartenment could be seen in everyone's eyes as they were powerless to resist.

Yu Lang was standing in front of Lu Qing'er and Bai Mengmeng, protecting his weakened friends. His eyes turned red as he helplessly watched the Devil Kings do as they wished. His eyes were filled with a bestial-like fury, as he said, "Is it finally my turn?"

Yu Lang grinned, and his crown started to shake violently. He was planning to ignite it! That was when Lu Qing'er coughed out some blood, stretched her hand out, and grabbed Yu Lang's arm. She then whispered in a hoarse voice, "We should have bought enough time for him."

"What?" Yu Lang could barely hear her. The corruption source origin that had gathered in the hands of the Devil Kings of Sin then swept towards the portal in a wave of destruction.

"Is it over now?" Yu Lang murmured to himself as he watched the wave of cataclysmic corruption source origin.

"No," said Lu Qing'er, shaking her head. "He's here."

Before countless despairing and melancholic eyes, the corruption source origin suddenly came to a halt just before it struck the barrier. No, that particular attack wasn't the only thing that had been stalled—the booming explosions, the sounds of ferocious fighting, and the wailings of space had all come to an abrupt end.

The Torch Dragon Underworld King's smile stiffened. In the depths of the void, the battles between the pinnacle fighters also came to a halt. Only Jiang Qing'e's lips curled up slowly into a smile.

On the fortress, Ling Xuan, Xiao Lingzhu, Ling Xuan, Qin Yi, Zhu Zhongming, and the other experts all had looks of surprise as their attention turned towards the area in front of the portal. They first noticed the three Devil Kings of Sin, but then they realized that there was a newcomer. It was a humanoid figure. A young, tall, and slender individual emanating an incredible aura stood there.

His eyes were emotionless, and his arms were around the shoulders of the Fear and Pestilence Devil Kings of Sin, as though he was hugging old friends. The entire world had turned silent. Even the surging worldly natural energy had become docile and obedient before the youth who emanated an overbearing pressure. The source of that pressure was nine Duke Bergfrieds that quietly floated above him. Each of them had ten towering golden pillars, giving off the aura of perfection and lighting up the world.

The entire world suddenly rumbled. Seeing this immediately caused all sorts of tumultuous emotions to erupt in everyone's hearts. This individual had reached the absolute pinnacle of the King Stage, the Ninth Transcendent Duke Stage!

Yu Lang's jaw dropped. The feeling of desperation that was about to overtake his heart was suddenly overwhelmed with endless hope. This caused his expression to distort in a combination of tears and laughter. He looked at the familiar youth who was standing there calmly, suppressing the three Devil Kings of Sin all alone.
