Chapter 1713: Enigmatic Overcast Enters The Fray

Two titanic dragons radiating immense might were ferociously struggling against each other. A terrifying energy storm raged in the dusky Dragon's Abyss as the void continuously collapsed around them. Torrents of dragonbreath clashed like meteorites striking one another. Dragon fangs and claws were brandished, akin to divine soldiers brawling in a melee. The primal and violent battle didn't involve any Duke Arts. To the two of them, their bodies were the most effective and lethal killing weapons.

Ao Yan was previously at the peak of the Triple Crowned King Stage, and if he factored in his physical prowess, he was confident that he could suppress Li Luo. However, he had never expected that Li Luo would have such a sinister method up his sleeve. When his guard was down, the latter had stolen some of his blood essence to create a curse and cripple his strength. That single action had caused him to reach the ordinary Triple Crowned King Stage. The drop in cultivation level didn't seem like much, but it nullified all of the advantages Ao Yan had. Thus, when their brawl began, Ao Yan was unable to obtain the upper hand.

On top of that, Li Luo's Heavenly Dragon aura caused him to feel a growing sense of suppression. The Heavenly Dragon was the sovereign ruler of the Dragon Race and thus, it naturally exerted a pressurizing aura upon all the other dragons. Even though Li Luo wasn't a true Heavenly Dragon, his bloodline was almost as pure as Chieftain Zhen Linshuang's. Thus, in a prolonged battle, the effects started to show. If Ao Yan wasn't originally at the peak of the Triple Crowned King Stage, he would likely be at a huge disadvantage when faced with Li Luo's tempestuous strikes.

At this point, two heaven shaking roars rumbled from outside the Dragon's Abyss. Two gigantic dragons soared through the air, and their overwhelming auras enveloped the heavens and the earth. One was a scarlet dragon ablaze with crimson flames, while the other was a golden dragon that seemed as though it was crafted from the finest gold.

The two Triple Crowned Kings of the Dragon Race had finally caught up. When they arrived, they saw Li Luo and Ao Yan entangled in a bitter battle. However, as they didn't know what was going on, they were about to step in to break up the fight. "Li Luo, Grand Elder, stop fighting!"

Just as they were about to interfere, they heard Zhen Linshuang, who was still being tormented by the Devil Flames of Desire, roar, "You two, kill Ao Yan! He's on the side of the Others and the Origin Reversion Institute, and he devised a plot to kill me. He has betrayed the Dragon Race!"

"What?!" When the Triple Crowned Kings heard this, they were understandably shocked. They found it hard to believe that the Dragon Race's Grand Elder Ao Yan would act this way. However, the Chieftain would not spout baseless words. This combined with the fact that the entire blood rites had been thrown into chaos left them with no doubt in their hearts.

Thus, the two glanced at each other for a moment before spitting out torrents of dragonbreath towards Ao Yan in an attempt to suppress him. They had to capture Ao Yan before anything else.

Meanwhile, the beleaguered Ao Yan was already drained from fighting Li Luo alone. Adding two more Triple Crowned Kings to the fray meant that he wouldn't be able to hold on any longer. In his frustration and fury, he bellowed, "Why aren't you taking action yet?"

Just as he shouted, a light peal of laughter descended from the sky. "Grand Elder Ao Yan, there's no need to rush. The Origin Reversion Institute has invested an immense amount of resources into you. How could we possibly sit by and watch you fall?"

A moment later, the void twisted and a handsome man with black and white eyes appeared. He waved his sleeves, and a heaven-shaking croak rumbled through the void. After which, a black demon frog as large as a mountain hopped out. It opened its bottomless mouth and immediately swallowed up Lu Song and Jin Zhang's streams of dragonbreath.

"A Heaven Devouring Demon Frog?" Lu Song and Jin Zhang's eyes shrunk as they recognized this titanic creature. "That is the Origin Reversion Institute's Enigmatic Overcast Underworld King! His true form is the Heaven Devouring Demon Frog!"

Upon hearing the elders gasp, Li Luo looked at the newcomer. That handsome man was ranked second among the Origin Reversion Institute's Thirteen Underworld Kings? What was unexpected was that he wasn't a human, but a member of the Demon Frog tribe.

Li Luo frowned as he thought to himself, "Another peak Triple Crowned King." Such individuals were peak combatants in the current world and weren't easy to deal with. If he didn't have access to the Ultimate Dragon Blood Affliction Art to cut Ao Yan down to size, he would have likely been forced into an arduous battle that would exhaust many of his trump cards.

"Chieftain Zhen, would it be wrong to invite outsiders into the Dragon's Abyss now, considering the situation?" Li Luo asked. The outsiders he was referring to were naturally Li Tianji and Lin Miao, who were in the second layer of the blood rites.

"No!" replied Zhen Linshuang, followed by a grunt full of pain. The Dragon Race was currently at a crossroads with its existence at stake. How could they possibly be worried about such things now?

Li Luo had actually acted before her reply—he had already shattered a dragon bone fragment. It was a signal mechanism for members of the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Li, and he had used it to contact Li Tianji. Not long after the message was sent, two vast sources of energy undulations shuttled through the void, entering the depths of the Dragon's Abyss and making their way to this chaotic battlefield. Li Tianji and Lin Miao had arrived.

"Are you alright, Li Luo?" Li Tianji asked anxiously when he saw that Li Luo had transformed. The latter nodded as he heaved a sigh of relief. With Li Tianji and Lin Miao present, the situation had improved.

"So the evildoers of the Origin Reversion Institute are acting up again!" Li Tianji gloomily glared at the Enigmatic Overcast Underworld King.

"Do you think you can stop me with only a few Triple Crowned Kings?" The Enigmatic Overcast Underworld King cackled.The only dragon the Enigmatic Overcast Underworld King was fearful of was Zhen Linshuang. However, with the Devil Flames of Desires debilitating her, she wouldn't be a problem.

A moment later, the Enigmatic Overcast Underworld King formed a handseal with a single hand, causing his palm to split open. After which, it morphed into the mouth of a frog, which then spewed out a wave of pitch-black frost that enveloped everyone. Ao Yan took action as well, roaring and emitting a destructive blast of dragonbreath that pierced through the void.

Li Tianji, Lin Miao, Lu Song, and Jin Zhang hurriedly went all-out to block the attacks. Li Luo joined in as well. After all, despite their strength in numbers, they might not actually be able to defeat the two!

However, at this moment, a voice full of anguish was transmitted into Li Luo's ears. "Li... Federation Chief Li Luo, come over here! Quickly!"

Li Luo paused and turned to look at the altar. The source of the voice was none other than the burning Zhen Linshuang. He hesitated for a moment before he flew over. However, he did not land on the altar. "Chieftain Zhen, what is the matter?"

"The Enigmatic Overcast Underworld King and Ao Yan are merely buying time. They are waiting for the Desire Devil King of Sin to fully descend. If I fail to recover my strength before that happens, no one in the Dragon Race will be capable of stopping it," she replied

Li Luo's gaze turned serious. The Desire Devil King of Sin was a Supreme Triple Crowned King and was even stronger than the Enigmatic Overcast Underworld King. If the Desire Other Dominion were to also descend, the Dragon Race would undoubtedly be crippled by the battle.

"Then what do you want me to do, Chieftain Zhen?" Li Luo asked. From what he could sense, Zhen Linshuang was planning to ask something of him.

She fell silent for a few moments. Suppressing the excruciating pain, she answered, "I want to give you a tremendous opportunity. The only question is if you dare to take it."
