Chapter 1467: Number One Amongst the Outer Divine Continents

Chapter 1467: Number One Amongst the Outer Divine Continents

When Li Luo finally regained consciousness, the first thing he saw when he opened his eyes was Li Hongyou's beautiful face. Her hands were filled with a fragrant energy that surged into his body and caused his severe pain to weaken. She was utilizing the Pharmacist Jade Dragon resonance's recuperative powers.

Noticing that he had awakened, Li Hongyou glanced at him and said, "It's best that you avoid using your curse art on seventh-grade Dukes. The backlash is immense, and without your sturdy body, you might not have been able to get out of there alive."

Li Luo bitterly nodded. The effect of the backlash was indeed beyond his imagination, and if he hadn't relied on his middle ninth-grade Heavenly Dragon resonance to further augment his body, he would have paid a much heavier price.

Furthermore, Fang Xingyun was only a lower seventh-grade Duke. If it had been an upper seventh-grade or an eighth-grade Duke, how much more terrifying would the backlash be?

Li Hongyou retracted the fragrant energy coming from her palms and suddenly looked to the side.

Li Luo could sense a pair of eyes focusing on him. The gaze was like a ray of sunshine piercing through the ice and fog. It was gentle but filled with a hint of chilliness.

Turning his head, he saw Lu Qing'er.

The elegant lady was sitting by his side, her legs wrapped in white stockings that accentuated them, giving them a slender and long appearance. Even so, they seemed a little lackluster when compared to her snow-white skin.

When their gazes intercepted, Lu Qing'er's eyes wavered momentarily, then a frostiness surfaced on her face once again.

At the same time, he noticed that there were marks on her neck caused by the poisoned blood. Even though her body had frozen the toxins and prevented them from harming her, perhaps because of how tender her skin was, conspicuous marks had been left behind.

"Sorry," Li Luo said awkwardly.

Lu Qing'er shook her head, then she clasped her hands together and softly asked, "Are you okay? Sister Hongyou is right to say that you should use that curse art less often."

Li Luo sighed. "I was simply not strong enough. Otherwise, I wouldn't be in this miserable state."

"Mentor Li Luo's words make me feel so ashamed, I want to die." Laughter suddenly rang out as Guo Jiufeng, Wang Xu, and the other vice principals approached. They were all in extremely bad condition with battle scars riddling their bodies. Wang Xu seemed the worst off as a sword extended across the length of his chest, almost bisecting him. All of their injuries were dire and their resonant power was almost depleted. Clearly, that massive battle had pushed the East Divine Continent's sage colleges to the limit. Li Luo had defeated Fang Xingyun and then came to Guo Jiufeng's aid. If he hadn’t, the East Divine Continent would have been swept away.

All the vice principals were looking at the youth with respect in their eyes. Even Wang Xu, who had a belligerent personality, was no exception. The fact that Li Luo had beaten Fang Xingyun was a shocking achievement.

A second-grade Duke overcoming a seventh-grade Duke only existed in the realms of their imagination. However, it had truly happened before their very eyes. It was unbelievable. Thus, they no longer treated Li Luo as a mere mentor, but someone with the power of a high-grade Duke.

"That battle should allow the East Divine Continent to sit firmly at the top of the ranks. This result is something we have never achieved before. When we return, I'm sure all of the sage colleges will be boiling over in joy," Vice Principal Chen Chi from the Heavenly Inferno Sage College said with a bruised and swollen face. Despite that, his excitement could not be contained as the result was completely unexpected.

The rest nodded in agreement. They had overcome the Azuresea Divine Continent and then the Thunderflame Divine Continent. The final opponent would be the Endless Gale Divine Continent, and there was almost no pressure when facing them. Thus, the final result was basically set in stone.

"Mentor Li Luo's contributions were the greatest amongst all of the sage colleges. If news of this were to be sent back, they would all revere your glorious name."

"The fact that a sage college in the East Divine Continent produced a Transcendent genius like Mentor Li Luo is our greatest source of pride."

As the numerous squads lavished praise upon him, it got to a point that even Li Luo could no longer bear it. When Chi Chan saw what was happening, she couldn't help but to laugh and then sigh. "I don't know what sort of a sensation this will cause when it's reported back to the Astral Sage College."

"Vice Principal Su Xin will be incomparably pleased, to the point that she won't be able to rest peacefully." Cao Sheng chortled.

"Vice principal Su Xin has watched over the Astral Sage College for many years, and just the fact that a Transcendent Duke has been produced is already a matter of pride," Mi Er said with a smile. ȒΆŊǒβΕS

"Alright, everyone. It's time to rest after that great battle. We should prepare ourselves to leave this minor world, and those who are injured should quickly recuperate to prevent any lasting injuries," Guo Jiufeng reminded the ecstatic group.

It was only now that the squads started to rest.

After which, pillars of light fell from the sky, enveloping all of them. Before they knew it, they were back on the East Divine Continent's platform.

Their appearance attracted countless looks, and they had become the center of attention.

That said, the majority of the curious gazes fell upon Li Luo.

Everyone was well aware that Li Luo was the one who had given them this victory. Without him present, the result would have been completely different.

The feat of surpassing five grades was something no one could underestimate. Even the Seedling Candidates of the ancient colleges were solemnly observing the handsome and slender youth. Although he had used a curse art to forcefully bring Fang Xingyun down from the seventh-grade to eke out a victory, the truth was that sometimes, the process was not as important as the result. The fact that he had methods to threaten a seventh-grade Duke was the most important takeaway from this matter, and they had to watch him seriously.

Li Luo remained nonplussed at those observing him. Instead, he glanced over at the ancient college's area, where a familiar set of eyes was looking right at him. It was none other than Jiang Qing'e. Even from a long distance away, he could feel the praise and encouragement in her eyes.

This simple look was all that mattered. It surpassed all of the praise that the numerous vice principals had given him. He returned a radiant smile before sitting cross-legged and adjusting his condition for the next round. Whilst sitting on the platform, majestic amounts of energy filled with vitality rushed into him, allowing his spent resonant power and injuries to be restored quickly.

There was one final battle left, and it would be against the Endless Gale Divine Continent. Only after winning the next battle would they be able to come out on top of the six outer divine continents.

One could say that they had almost fulfilled all the conditions for success. They had defeated the first and second ranked outer divine continents, so the weaker Endless Gale Divine Continent likely would not cause any complications. This could be seen from the bitter faces of the squads on the Endless Gale Divine Continent's platform. Their sage colleges were previously ranked third in strength, but considering how the other two had already been eliminated, how could they ever hope to win? Even so, hiding was futile at this point. Once the East Divine Continent had recovered, Wang Xuanjin raised his hand and the squads from the East Divine Continent and the Endless Gale Divine Continent entered a minor world for the final bout.

It lasted for several hours. When Li Luo's squad appeared on the platform yet again, Wang Xuanjin's resonant and awe-inspiring voice boomed. "The outer divine continents’ trial has concluded. First place goes to the East Divine Continent with three victories. They will receive three Heavenly Domains."

With a wave, the Celestial Mirror Pagoda's sky rumbled, endless light poured down, and stars began to fall.

Each star was shining with resplendent light, causing the worldly natural energy to turn restless.

This was because these stars were the things that they deeply desired...

Celestial Mirror Sand! A look of excitement arose in Li Luo's eyes. As he looked at the descending stars, each of them began to shrink, eventually floating in the air above the East Divine Continent's platform.

His feverish gaze swept across the stars.

Celestial Mirror Sand! And there were sixty grains!
