Chapter 766: A Small Beast

The artifact was a necklace with a smooth, obsidian-black cord and a mystical five-pointed star pendant. Its ethereal, silvery-white surface shimmered with countless specks of starlight, while its depths resembled an infinite celestial expanse filled with distant stars and an unreachable, mysterious void.

Pocket Realm Anchor

Type: Artefact

Rank: Peak Red Tier (Peak 7-star)

Craftsman: Louis Von Arvonnon

Bonded Individual: None

Condition to Become a Bonded Individual: Presence of a Spiritual Realm

-An exquisite spatial artefact containing a vast secret realm with a surface area of 1.26 million square kilometres. Time flows naturally within it, with its day and night cycle perfectly synchronised with the real world.

The realm automatically draws energy from the surrounding world to sustain its environment, while Louis Von Arvonnon’s Space Authority stabilises its spatial structure and maintains its connection to the real world.

As long as the real world continues to exist, the Pocket Realm Anchor can sustain the realm and support life indefinitely, preserving it as a permanent sanctuary independent of ordinary spatial limitations.

The realm’s Difficulty Tier is determined entirely by the strength and capabilities of the beings present within it at any given time.

Current Difficulty Tier: Low Green (Tier 2)

The bonded individual automatically becomes aware of every being present within the realm, allowing them to monitor its inhabitants at all times.

Special Property:

Gateway Creation: The individual bonded to the Pocket Realm Anchor can create multiple entry and exit gateways wherever they choose, allowing free passage between the realm and the real world.

These gateways can be opened, relocated, or dismissed according to the bonded individual’s will. Once created, each gateway will remain in existence indefinitely until the bonded individual chooses to close it, regardless of distance or the passage of time.

[Note: If the Pocket Realm Anchor loses its connection to Louis Von Arvonnon’s Space Authority, the realm’s spatial structure, position, and all existing gateways will become completely locked and immovable.

The realm will remain inaccessible (entry and exit excluded) until another individual possessing a suitable Space Authority establishes a connection and replaces the lost spatial anchor, restoring control over the realm and its gateways.]

Leo hadn’t even finished reading through all the information when Louis began explaining what it was.

Surprisingly, it was the very same competition realm where the different academies had built their strongholds, where structures had been destroyed, and where the central mountain stood.

"Before I get to this, let’s talk about the previous artefact," Louis said.

"The complete and proper use of the Heaven’s Gate Medallion will probably require you to study spatial coordinates and master three-dimensional studies related to space. For that, you’ll need to come to the capital city."

"Though teleportation to known places is possible through the mental link, if you want to reach new places based purely on information, those studies will be necessary."

After saying that, Louis pointed at the necklace in Leo’s hand and proceeded to explain everything exactly as the system had displayed in its description.

Louis even explained the process of bonding with it.

"Focus on your Spiritual Realm and connect the central realm gate inside the pocket dimension at the top of the mountain to it. Try opening a gateway inside your Spiritual Realm."

Leo immediately frowned.

Why did it seem like Louis was trying to gain access to his Spiritual Realm, which contained the mountain of collected resources and even the Elasian Aetherbloom—the second most precious thing to him after Lily and his beasts?!

The description clearly stated that it used Louis’s Space Authority as an anchor. What were the chances...?

Louis simply shook his head.

This kid has no idea how space works...

Louis didn’t have time to argue with Leo or teach him the basics right now. He was in a hurry to fight the demons attacking various parts of the Empire. As one of the most formidable fighting forces, his absence meant that cities were falling at a much faster rate.

This was also why Aurex had immediately left. The only reason Cyrandel could remain here without hurrying was that she possessed a very special ability born from her talent.

"This Pocket Realm is one of the rewards for being the top individual. It allows living beings to enter, treasures to grow naturally... Well, since you don’t want any external interference in your Spiritual Realm, I have something that’s the perfect solution to that..."

As Louis said that, he extended his hand, and a small creature, around 10 centimetres in size, suddenly appeared in his large palm.

"This..." Leo’s eyes widened as he saw it, his heart hammering wildly against his ribs.

It was a delicate-looking creature with eight slender legs covered in fine, dark-blue hairs. Its body was primarily deep midnight blue, with faint violet patterns running across its abdomen like cracks in space.

Tiny sparks of pale-blue lightning occasionally flickered between its legs, disappearing almost as quickly as they appeared. The strange phenomenon continued even while it slept.

Riftweb Spider (Low 1-star) — Royal Bloodline

Even Cyrandel raised an eyebrow in interest when she saw the beast.

Just then, the beast suddenly snapped its eyes open. To Leo’s surprise, alongside its 2 large eyes, it had multiple tiny ones.

Krikik!

The spider’s eyes sharpened the moment it spotted Leo. The space beneath its feet distorted as it began to float, then it shot a line of webbing towards him, which Leo blocked with his palm.

The spider suddenly seemed to grow exhausted. It collapsed back into Louis’s palm and went back to sleep.

What was that? Leo wondered, attempting to remove the thin web from his palm.

"Hm?"

The web simply clung to his palm and the fingers of both hands. The more he tried peeling it away, the farther it stretched before slipping back and clinging to him again.

At last, Leo set his palm ablaze, and the flames cleared the webbing.

"This is your last reward—a Space and Lightning Element beast."

"The place where I obtained it strongly suggests that it’s a High Noble Beast, but due to a unique phenomenon, it acquired a Lightning Core, which might have turned it into a Royal Bloodline. I’m not sure though, since that can only be confirmed after it develops more abilities and grows stronger... But I guess that won’t be a problem for you."
