Chapter 526: He Still Has His Balls

Chapter 526: He Still Has His Balls

"What is he even doing?" Pyrotrax muttered in confusion, watching Leo continuously dodge the serpent’s attacks and do nothing else.

"Does he think that the serpent will be defeated magically if he keeps doing that?"

By now, Leo had taken several steps away and hung low on the volcano’s cliff to get himself out of the serpent’s sight. It worked, and the serpent stopped attacking him. After giving the dragons a brief look, it dived back into the lava with a splash of molten rock.

Huff! Huff!

Leo was sweating profusely, but he wasn’t scared of the dragons at all. While hanging with one hand and wiping the sweat from his face with the other, he looked at the dragons.

"You people came again? Don’t tell me you’re here to fight. Even if I am in this condition, I can easily deal with you three together," Leo said, his tone making it clear he wasn’t kidding.

But internally, Leo was hoping they wouldn’t initiate a fight because it would be very troublesome for him. He would be fighting alone—since Nyxa would have too much trouble in this environment and terrain—and the dragons were also in their favourable terrain.

They had a very good chance of competing with Leo in a 3v1 with all the factors involved.

But just the sight of Leo was enough to poke at Vulcarion’s rage.

"YOU—"

"Leo~"

Vulcarion was cut off by Zerathra’s sweet voice.

"I see you’ve found yourself in quite a predicament."

Suddenly, Zerathra’s voice came from behind the dragon as her humanoid form appeared mid-flight, draconic wings spread behind her.

"I am quite surprised you managed to climb up here with your Low 4-star strength without any wings like us. Like I guessed, you have something more in you than what is shown," she said, looking at Leo, who had just created an earthen platform on the side of the mountain with his [Earth Manipulation] and stepped onto it.

"Well, I somehow did... and also caught sight of an interesting beast."

"Kuku, that only shows how exceptional you are. By the way, now that I think about it, I haven’t introduced myself. I am Zerathra, a General in the Yellow-Flame Dragon Unit."

"I am Leo, a freshman at Aurelius Beast Academy," Leo responded in kind.

There was a brief moment of silence as Zerathra thought of something.

His Majesty said to form positive connections with humans and be friendly for as long as the situation allows... Should I open my account here? Zerathra mused internally.

But at that moment, another figure appeared beside Leo on the platform.

"General of the Yellow-Flame Dragon Unit, Lady Zerathra."

Gunther appeared and directly addressed her, his pale green hair a stark contrast to the surrounding environment.

"Are you sure you’re supposed to appear whenever you wish and interfere with the kids performance?"

"Hoh?"

Gunther’s appearance seemed to catch Zerathra’s interest.

"Green hair... accompanying an Aurelius Beast Academy top student... Are you that soul expert said to be among the betters in the Human Empire? Uh... what was the name..."

"Gunther. I am Gunther, a professor at Aurelius Beast Academy and, like you said, a soul expert."

"Yes, Gunther! Nice to meet you. I have heard about you. And as for your question, no, I should, and would not. But you see, this is exactly where my nephew’s work ends and mine begins. And according to the agreement that was made, when my work starts, I am allowed to do anything within my capabilities."

She looked at Leo.

"Though I still cannot hurt you, kuku."

But Gunther stood his ground.

"And how does your work relate to having a conversation with my student?" he asked.

"Your student? Kuku, nice. Two remarkable humans together? Now this is some great news."

She giggled to herself.

"You see, when your Emperor made the agreement, it was a mutually beneficial agreement. Which means that whatever benefits we receive, an equal amount of benefits should be available to humans."

She explained.

"In normal cases, my benefit here would have been upholding my ironclad pride by punishing my rebellious slaves. And mind you, pride is what dragons live for. The second was to use Hidimba—the leader of the wyverns—and his offspring to enhance my nephew’s bloodline."

"But since Hidimba’s dwelling appeared within human territory, he, along with this entire territory, now belongs to humans. So technically, I am snatching away what belonged to humans in exchange for this secret realm and its resources. But you see... humans are simply too weak to benefit from this secret realm," Zerathra said with a prideful smile.

The adolescent dragons at the back also snickered.

"I mean, no one except your student has managed to enter the core region of the realm, where the most valuable treasures are located. It would be unfair to you humans, according to the contract. In other words, I am taking the most precious thing in exchange for scrap."

She glanced at Leo, who simply narrowed his eyes.

Indeed... no human below the age of 30 can benefit from this secret realm unless it’s an anomaly like me and Lily.

Leo thought as Zerathra continued.

"So... I was simply thinking of letting your student, Leo, have a chance to tame a wyvern when I decide Hidimba’s punishment."

Gunther narrowed his eyes.

"How does your punishment relate to the opportunity to tame a wyvern? The last thing I know is that you’d annihilate him and his entire bloodline," Gunther said, knowing the dragons’ ways.

"No, no, no. If this bastard can hide in this small hole for over 2 to 3 centuries, he can keep doing so indefinitely out of fear of me. Though I hate to say it, no dragon below the age of 30 can really counter his Mid 5-star strength. So he can live here without punishment until the end of his life."

She paused before continuing.

"But Hidimba is also a being with dreams and hopes of roaming the world and establishing his own footing. And he would gladly exchange his current descendants and wives for a single chance to be truly free and live without danger... after all, he still has his balls, kuku."

Gunther raised a brow when he realized what she was talking about. He glanced toward the 3 adolescent dragons and immediately understood what was going to happen.
