Leo was amazed.
“Such a big beast and only Mid 3-star? Damn,” he muttered.
Leo looked around and located the Titanbreath Lotus, the tallest tree in the surroundings, and then proceeded to swiftly climb it.
“Damn… the total area looks more than 50 hectares!” Leo exclaimed. After that, he promptly reached the Fluxsoil Heart to increase the territory area. But when he actually finalised the selection, the territory’s overall area only constituted 34.5 hectares.
Leo soon realised that the AI sensor only accounted for the flat surface that was below the mound. Since the mound had a height of 400 meters, the actual land was higher than the registered land.
Leo estimated that the actual land, if accounted for after taking the slope into consideration, was around 55 hectares, while the registered land was 34.5 hectares.
“Well, good for me. People will think I have less land and will prepare in that way, only for a slap on their face.”
But Leo also realised that now the Fluxsoil Heart’s mana-dense region didn’t cover the whole territory.
The 300-meter range now only consisted of the plateau and the base region below the plateau for about 70 to 80 meters since there was a cliff of about 20 meter when the plateau ended.
He didn’t hesitate and proceeded to shift all the territory members’ sheds closer to the base so they would be under the mana-dense region.
“I guess the only person who is adversely affected is Brok…” Leo muttered.
Originally, Brok lived in the region where mana density was around 200% to 300%, but now, with the plateau expanding, his house was shifted further from the range, and all members would be living in the density region—which would be around 20% to 50%.
Leo didn’t have any plans to do anything about Brok’s situation, because he had already been receiving a lot for a ferry job, and according to Lily, a proper work and reward system needed to be established.
And the only reason Brok was given so much leeway was that Leo didn’t know the workings of a territory and was an amateur leader. Now that he had some knack for it, he would start taking things into control—or rather, Lily would be the one to do it.
Lily had her hands folded and her chest puffed, looking proud of Leo, almost as if saying, He is my man.
Down below, the elves were left disoriented, and some even had their eyes filled with awe, thinking of the day when they would be strong enough to terraform like Leo.
Miho had properly steadied herself but was still seated on the ground, looking around the surroundings as if checking everything was in its place.
But the most shaken person was Kaelion. His expression itself suggested that he was wondering if he could ever catch up with Leo. His rate of getting strong was way too fast. And the same went for Lily.
His gaze shifted towards her, and she still looked proud.
“Just what sort of experiment is my father doing for such monsters to take birth?” he muttered.
He was referring to the culling of weaker talents that the humans had initiated in recent years for the betterment of humanity in the long run. Leo and Lily were prime examples of the product.
“No, they both are leagues ahead of others… And somehow they ended up together?”
Kaelion was baffled as to how an extremely prodigious girl like Lily had gone unnoticed by others, and even she had made peace with having only 1 partner. Not only that, a man like Leo had also made peace with having only one partner, and both were extremely loyal, even to the point of being obsessed with each other.
It was a common norm to have multiple partners if an individual was strong, be it a man or a woman. And it wasn’t even despised; it felt natural to the masses. Being strong brought such privileges, but here were Leo and Lily.
“Wait… Aunt is also the same…” he muttered, referring to Katherine.
His attention shifted when Leo came back after doing the necessary transformation. He was perspiring heavily, clearly showing he had exerted himself to finish the job.
Leo raised his hand and waved at Brant, who promptly started descending from the sky.
Brant didn’t wait for directions and directly dumped the 50-meter-wide sphere into the designated place.
Splash! Chhub! Dhuub! Splash!
Water splashed onto the surrounding people before finally settling, and along with it their eyes turned towards the fish inside. A varied range of fish. Though some looked almost 2 meters big, they didn’t attack. All were peaceful.
Leo turned to thank Brant, but by then he had already departed, the dark Skyrend Eagle’s silhouette disappearing into the horizon.
“Eh?!” Miho yelped and backed away from the water.
Apparently, she had been stirring the water with her hand when something slippery brushed against it, and it wasn’t even visible.
“Leo…” Lily muttered, her eyes not leaving the pool.
“The fish… many are almost invisible!” she exclaimed. It was then that others also started to notice the invisible fish, and they were present in the highest quantity.
At Lily’s comment, one elf crouched near the water and looked closely.
“See! Only their eyes are somewhat visible!”
“What type of fish are they?”
“We never saw fish like this in our homeland…” some elves talked among themselves.
Bigfoot got interested and actually caught one crystal fish with his rough hands, then tried eating it.
“Bigfoot, keep it back,” Leo said simply, and Bigfoot complied, though he visibly turned sombre.
Lily’s eyes moved over all the colourful fishes until they landed on a particular one.
“Leo! That fish, so beautiful!” she said, pointing at the koi.
“Yes, I brought it here for you. As a gift.”
“What? Really!” She excitedly hopped towards Leo and kissed him on his cheek.
“Thank you!”
Of course, the others watched the scene, though the most affected were the elves. Somehow, it felt like they wouldn’t actually be treated badly here.
