Abby and Violet (Yuri Light Novel)

Vol. 7, Chapter III — Hectic Morning After

  • Next Chapter

Waking up next morning, I felt… vague. It’s a very strange way of putting it, but I was also feeling strange, so it fits. Not exactly tired, not exactly upset, not exactly energised, not exactly happy, all that and not feeling exactly normal.

“It’s been a while I’ve felt this strange,” I told myself as I waved a hand in front of my eyes. I wasn’t seeing it as if in slow motion or lagging, but it still felt like it. “I guess I should take it easy today.”

I’d ask Abby after I greeted her, but I had a feeling she’d arrive at the same conclusion I just did.

The house was quiet, a normal thing that felt a bit off after so much noise from last night’s dinner. What didn’t feel off was Abby’s reaction when she saw me: her face lit up, she used a rag to tidy up her hands, and she came rushing towards me, her clothes and legs making a rustling sound due to her tiny but fast steps. Her arms were raised, clearly aimed to be wrapped around my neck. It was a bit much, but in a good way I’d say. After a kiss with me picking her up and putting her back down, she asked me how I slept. I told her about my good night of sleep and how I was feeling.

“Hmm, you should take it easy today,” she told me as she made me sit on the chair closest to the kitchen so we could still talk while she finished preparing our breakfast. “It’s not like we made plans for today, have we?”

“No, I guess we haven’t,” I said as I shifted on my chair. Even sitting there felt off, like I was still dreaming but in a very, very lucid dream, minus the feeling of being asleep, if that makes sense. “So, erm, how was your sleep?”

I heard her chuckle from the kitchen before telling me that she dreamt of us in a living room—just a living room, not one from our places though, when she accidentally tore off one of my fingers. It had an USB plug instead of a bone where it came off, and I then quietly explained that I was actually a robot and that my fingers were all connected like that.

“Did they work as memory sticks?” I asked.

“Dunno,” Abby told me as she came to sit at the table, carrying two plates with buttered toasts. “I found the dream too stupid, and it was one of those occasions where I can have some control over them, so I changed it to us decorating a Christmas tree.”

“I wish I could to that,” I huffed as I blew my tea so I could take a sip without scalding myself. “Then again, I very rarely remember what I dreamt about, so…”

“You girls talking about dreams?” Claire’s voice asked, surprising me and Abby as we weren’t aware she was there. She had one of Sophie’s shirts on, so she clearly spent the night here too. Just as if she was part of the house, she came and casually sat with us. “Mine was that the bathroom at my house was clogged, so Mum and I came to stay here. Zero sense, I know, this apartment doesn’t have the room for that, and we have three other bathrooms at my place, so it’s not like one clogging would require that. Anyway, you girls had fun last night?”

Abby was the one who answered. She also told Claire about Mathilda’s schemes, Claire nodding in approval, of course. Abby then commented on howe she is surprised how Claire and Sophie managed to fit in Sophie’s bed as she glanced at Claire’s chest. Claire, as shameless as ever, laughed and grabbed it from below, and was saying that it was a tight fit, but they managed.

“But tight feels better, doesn’t it? Nothing wrong with it being a loose fit, but if you’re so nice and tight that you have to struggle to get in, then—”

“Claire!” Sophie barked. “I hope to God you’re not doing that on purpose!”

Claire for a second looked a bit startled by Sophie’s words and tone, but then, she realised what Sophie as getting at… and she had the most devious smile as she honed in on Sophie.

“I really wasn’t being suggestive or dirty intentionally,” she purred at Sophie, Sophie’s face creeping in a blush. “But the fact that you immediately thought that… my, my!”

“B-because you always say that kind of stuff around me on purpose!” Sophie whimpered. “Of course my mind when to the gutter when I heard you talking!”

“Oh-ho! So, you do admit having a dirty mind!”

“I don’t! And if I do, it’s your fault!”

This… this was feeling a bit like hell. “Taking it easy” for me meant peace and quiet while doing pretty much nothing. What was happening right now was more akin to having two chickens bickering at each other at three in the morning.

Claire then flipped the script, saying that if anyone should be mad, it should be her. I won’t criticise Sophie to have fallen for such obvious bait as I do the same quite often with my wife, but Sophie still asked why Claire was saying that. Claire, pointing at the shirt Sophie had on as if it were an insult to her very being, asked how Sophie could do that to her when she had left her shirt for Sophie to wear in exchange of her wearing Sophie’s.

“Because otherwise I’d have half of my breasts showing!” Sophie protested.

“You’re always such a drama queen,” Claire said with a disappointed shrug and turning her attention to us, ignoring Sophie’s protests about being called that. “It only has a heart-shaped cutout in the front to show a bit of cleavage, nothing else. You two think it’s cute, don’t you?”

We asked exactly how small it was. She formed a heart with her hands, looking disappointed at it as she couldn’t make it small enough to match the one on her shirt. She promised to show us it before leaving and asked if we wouldn’t like getting some for ourselves since we are “two lovebirds” as she aptly put it.

“It’s not that I think Violet would look bad in it, but I also don’t think it’s quite the match. Besides, we already have the charms on our chockers being heart-shaped, so wouldn’t it be a bit overkill?”

Claire said that it was nonsense, which I partially agree with. In my case, I think it would be a bit overkill, yeah. I already had two things that shape on me, namely the charm of my choker, and my derriere, both that I could say I share with my wife out of her three ones. I also had a very small cleavage, so there wasn’t much to show, although I guess you could argue that it made it more innocent over suggestive. On Abby though… Adding a fourth heart wouldn’t hurt, in my opinion, and she is so sweet, lovely and lovable that it’d be a really good match on her.

Still, it felt too “loud” for us, and it also wasn’t something I think would be worth it for us to wear in our private time.

One person who’d likely be overjoyed getting one would be Mathilda though.

“I’m glad to hear you say that, because I got her two of them, one saying ‘I love my big sis’ using the cutout, and the other one with no text on it.”

“Hmm… I gotta say, it is kinda sweet, the one with the message,” Sophie hummed. “Not sure about the cutout on it though, but since it’s from you, so it doesn’t have any weird connotations, otherwise, it’d be super weird.”

“Yeah, Mum told me the same,” Mathilda laughed. “I do love my sister and having skinship with her and all that, but not that way. You Sophie on the other hand…”

“You grope me in from of them, and I’m making sure there’s nothing for your kids to suckle on when the time comes.”

Claire immediately pulled away, crossing her arms over her chest and asking what was with me and Sophie about hating on her “girls”.

At this point, I was past done. Were I a steak, I’d rawhide-levels of overcooked.

They, however, weren’t done with me, Claire telling me that she came with some gifts for me and Abby, some from her, but the other two were from Josephine.

“From Jo?” I frowned, confused from hearing that and sitting back down.

She told me to wait there as she went to pick them up, and soon enough came back with two paper bags. She sat down and held the one that was from Josephine, wanting to give us context before handing it over.

She explained to us that, after the last photoshoot I did with her, Josephine’s girlfriend asked when was she to print the calendars, having thought that was why she had organised twelve outfits for each month. Josephine hadn’t thought about that but she liked the idea, so she printed some, my face hidden of course, except the ones that were for us. The second part of the gift, Claire said, was a mystery to her aside from the fact that Josephine and her girlfriend worked on it together since they were kinda bored and had the time and materials for it.

That got me really curious. It had to be clothing, but what kind? Jo didn’t exactly have a particular style other than whatever it was that highlighted my legs and figure, so I was sure it’d look great on me.

“Is this…? What is this?” I asked as I unfolded what felt like silk from a paper wrapper. It was in a dark blue colour, almost black, very soft and with a gentle lustre to it. It looked expensive, and it felt even more so. The one for Abby was mostly a solid green, the material the same as mine, but it also had some yellow sunflowers on the sleeves, at the bottom, and a single one on one of the chest panels. “Kimonos?”

“Sure looks like it,” the other two agreed as they looked at a paper that came inside the back. “And look, she even sent instructions on how to put it on… and a request to send a picture when you do.”

“Can we try them on now? Pleeease?”

Abby was doing that thing, the puppy-eyes and sweet voice that I could never say no to, so I relented. I relented, and as soon as I saw Claire getting up holding the paper, I snatched it away and told her that Abby and I would manage alone. She pouted her lip at me, but there was no hurt feelings behind that, only delight from having gotten her intended reaction. That pout immediately went away as soon as she sat back down, replaced by a smile as she leaned in on Sophie and commented on how she couldn’t wait to see us wearing them.

Putting them on was a bit of a challenge, and we had to also consult a video on how to put on the sash, but the results were worth it in the end.

“Hehe! Do I look prettier than a geisha?” Abby chirped as she looked between me and her reflexion.

“Pretty as a button,” I told her with a chuckle and took a gander to my own reflexion while Abby fluffed herself to my side and sang praises to how I looked too.

Both our belt sashes were wide, cinching our waists in a very elegant way, mine a deep purple with a geometric golden web-like pattern on it and a golden string on top, and Abby was a solid yellow with a green string. The only thing missing were the appropriate footwear, but since we were home, normal socks would have to suffice.

“I wonder… are those split-toe socks they wear actually comfortable?”

“I suppose they are,” Abby hummed as we walked back into the living room. “Otherwise, they wouldn’t have worn them for so long, even to this day, over normal socks, would they?”

Maybe one day I’ll buy a pair to try them out, assuming I can even find any and at a reasonable price for the quality. And speaking of quality, these really were good quality fabrics she and her girlfriend had used in making these. I’d really have to say yes next time she asks me to pose for her, wouldn’t I? I know it wasn’t her intention, but if it were, it’d have worked like a charm. No idea when we’d wear these, though.

“All right girls, pose for the photo and say cheese!” Claire cheered as she prepared her phone.

Abby and I shifted closer, me looking slightly above the camera as I adjusted my position and posture. Then, Claire started laughing at me. And it wasn’t just her, as Sophie seemed to be having a hard time not starting to laugh too.

“Sorry, sorry,” she panted. “It’s just that you suddenly posed so naturally for the camera that it felt like I was taking the picture of a professional model.”

“J-just get the picture taken already!” I told her as my face turned hot.

Believe it or not, it was almost an hour later that I got to finally go back into my room, undress, and flop myself over the bed.

I had both arms crossed over my face when I felt the bed gently shift, and then, Abby’s familiar weight over me. She was straddling my stomach and had both hand resting just under my ribs.

“Sorry babe,” she told me. “I got too excited imagining you wearing it that I made you do it even though you’re tired.”

“…You didn’t made me do it,” I told her, uncrossing my arms and moving my hands to her thighs. “And at least now I can just sit back and actually relax, can’t I?”

“Yeah,” she chuckled, still looking a bit down from seeing me like this. “…Do you want full peace and quiet, or would you like for me to stay instead and keep you company?”

I thought about if for just half a second before reaching out to her shoulders and tug her to lay on me.

“I want full peace and quiet,” I told her as I made sure we were fully comfortable in our positioning. “But you can leave if you get bored of doing nothing.”

“Hmm, being bored sometimes is nice too,” Abby quietly hummed as she nuzzled my hair, making me laugh for the first time in the day.

I covered us with our soft blanket, gave her one last long, sweet kiss, and closed my eyes. I didn’t sleep until it was time for us to go have lunch, nor did we even move a single finger until then.

Then, there was no more that “vague” feeling. I felt tired now from last night and the start of today, but my mind felt like it was actually going on rails right now, and I attribute a lot of that to the person that I love so much and was sat across me, eating her favourite meat stew that we cooked together.

“…Yes?” Abby asked, her eyes sparkling and her smile as warm as the Spring sun.

“Let’s face it, you know exactly what I’m thinking right now,” I chuckled, my face warming up.

“Pfft, hehe! I sure do, wifey! Same here.”

Our family gave us a quick glance, unaware that Abby and I just said to each other how much we love one another, most likely thinking that we were being the usual silly couple we are most of the time.
