Chapter 3100: Chapter 3101: Familiarity

Just as Yin Lu was about to speak, the First Prince had already nodded, and Bai Ruozhu looked at him in surprise. Initially, she had thought Yin Lu would be the first to agree, as they had no other choice left, and she and Yin Lu had many conversations, leading to some trust between them.

She had mainly said this because she worried the First Prince wouldn’t trust her. To her surprise, the First Prince’s expression showed such decisiveness.

Faced with her puzzled gaze, the First Prince smiled slightly, his eyes exceptionally bright, and made a gesture toward her.

Bai Ruozhu didn’t understand and quickly looked to Yin Lu, only to see the surprise in his eyes.

"His Highness said you seem familiar to him, like family, so he trusts you," Yin Lu came to his senses and said.

Then he added, "Did Lord Bai come to the Western Regions earlier?"

Bai Ruozhu had been to the Western Regions once, but during that visit, she hadn’t met the First Prince or even knew of his existence. So perhaps the First Prince’s feeling toward her came from before her transmigration?

Her heart warmed, "May I boldly ask for the First Prince’s name?"

The First Prince understood, mouthed silently: Hang Shen.

Seeing this, Yin Lu reassuringly said, "His Highness is named Hang Shen. Hang from grand, Shen from profound."

Bai Ruozhu’s heart raced, nearly betraying her emotions on her face. Hang Shen, it truly was Hang Shen; this wasn’t merely a coincidence!

She quickly analyzed his situation: he felt familiar with her but didn’t recognize her; could it be he had forgotten his past self?

Transmigration is mysterious; some can integrate past memories, while others cannot. Perhaps some even forget everything from before transmigration.

"May I speak with His Highness alone?" Bai Ruozhu pondered before saying.

Yin Lu was a bit surprised and quickly glanced at the First Prince, who nodded. Yin Lu immediately bowed his head and exited.

Bai Ruozhu glanced at the paper and pen aside, gesturing toward them, "You can write it down."

Hang Shen nodded, picked up a specially-made charcoal pen, and wrote on the paper: Have we met before?

Bai Ruozhu shook her head, then quickly nodded. It’s a bit confusing; they shouldn’t have met in this life, perhaps in the previous one.

Seeing Hang Shen confused, she sat opposite him, slowly saying, "You might have forgotten some things. Do strange things appear in your mind? Or in dreams?"

Hang Shen showed a thoughtful expression, but there was bewilderment in his clear eyes.

"Strange clothing? Iron vehicles faster than a horse carriage? Television broadcasting images?" She listed them one by one, and Hang Shen’s bewilderment deepened.

After a moment, Hang Shen shook his head, seemingly unable to recall anything.

Bai Ruozhu was somewhat disappointed. Was it that he couldn’t remember, or was she mistaken?

She couldn’t be certain, but facing someone so similar to Hang Shen, she still wanted to help him so as not to leave any regrets in her heart.

Just then, footsteps were heard from outside, followed by Jiang Yichun’s voice: "Is Ruozhu here?"

Bai Ruozhu’s heart leaped, and she quickly bowed to Hang Shen and turned to walk towards the door.

"Achun, what’s the matter?" she asked.

Jiang Yichun looked inside and saw only her and Hang Shen, his brows involuntarily furrowed.

"The Astrologer is missing," he suppressed his displeasure and first reported the urgent issue.

Oh no! There has been no progress on borrowing the treasure, and the Astrologer is nearing his limit!

"I’ll write a formula and leave," she said to Jiang Yichun.

Jiang Yichun’s gaze flickered slightly. Could it be that the matter of the Astrologer wasn’t as important as this First Prince?
