Chapter 2899: Chapter 2900: Can You Forgive Grandpa?

Capture the leader first to capture the thieves, Bai Ruozhu squinted her eyes like a cat ready to catch a mouse, sharp and cautious.

She quietly scattered some drug powder and let Furball hide in the grass. If experts appeared, Furball could launch a surprise attack to protect her.

Not far away, Ao Song was also a bit worried, but she couldn’t move now. Not to mention protecting these children; rushing over would only expose Bai Ruozhu’s target, putting Bai Ruozhu in danger.

However, she knew that Sister Ruozhu was quite impressive. She realized it the first time she saw her; Sister Ruozhu was truly a person of purple aura rising from the east.

"Not good, there’s poison!" Someone sensed it first, but just finished shouting and fell to the ground.

The others immediately retreated, but still, some were poisoned, their bodies softening and falling down.

Bai Ruozhu hid in the shadows, threw several silver needles out, and some who didn’t check fell softly.

"Go on, kill her and it’ll be fine. This little poison won’t kill anyone!" Madam Sun shouted angrily, forgetting to hide her voice.

She saw Bai Ruozhu use poison, saw her use silver needles to kill, and her husband Sun Zhou had died after being hit by one of Bai Ruozhu’s needles.

Just then, Bai Ruozhu rushed over, twisting the dagger in her hand against Madam Sun’s neck, the other hand also simultaneously grasping her throat.

"Madam Sun, you’re truly careless." Bai Ruozhu laughed. She hadn’t encountered wives hiring killers to deal with her before, like Lady Du, Du Zhongshu’s mother.

But usually, a noble lady would just hire. Who would go out themselves? This Madam Sun was interesting, worthy of being a general’s daughter.

"Go die!" Madam Sun twisted the sword in her hand, fiercely trying to stab herself.

This was a move where you kill a thousand enemies but lose eight hundred of your own, betting on who cared less for their life.

Bai Ruozhu sneered, forming seals with her fingers, a magic technique barrier standing in front of Madam Sun. Her sword tip made a sound, unable to penetrate any further.

"You probably haven’t heard that I’m a disciple from Astrology Tower." Bai Ruozhu said with a smile, "Go ahead and stab, I’ll let go immediately, but I guarantee protection in front of myself. Even if you stab through your body completely, you won’t harm me at all."

"You..." Madam Sun let go dejectedly, throwing the sword to the ground.

Bai Ruozhu looked at the other men in black, "Back off, you haven’t received all the money, right? If she dies, you won’t get the rest."

The leader of the killers was a bit annoyed, looked at Madam Sun, and said: "Why didn’t you say she was an expert?"

"How was I supposed to know?" Madam Sun said irritably.

"Alright, it’s come to this, you should disperse too, otherwise when the government soldiers come, there’s no way you’ll escape untouched." Bai Ruozhu added pressure with her hand, making Madam Sun groan painfully.

"Your mission has already failed, leaving now means at least you get half the money. Staying means losing more than just money, your lives will be lost here too." She said again.

Suddenly, a killer came out holding Xiaoyu’s collar, staring at Bai Ruozhu and said: "Let her go, or I’ll kill this little Luo Guo."

Bai Ruozhu cursed inwardly; she could have kept all the killers, but she gave them the chance to escape politely, just because she worried about the child in their hands, fearing these ruthless people would hurt the child.

But she couldn’t show it. Once they felt she cared for the child, Xiaoyu would be in even more danger.

She could only pretend not to care about the child being caught, thinking they’d leave soon. Some companions were poisoned and couldn’t even carry their people, how could they still have the mind to catch a useless little beggar?

Actually, they weren’t aiming for Xiaoyu from the start; they were just lurking there ready to act, and Xiaoyu unfortunately ran into the killers while escaping in that direction.

"You’re the little Luo Guo, let go, you bad guy!" Xiaoyu’s emotions suddenly lost control, biting on the killer’s arm.

The killer felt pain, his knife swinging mercilessly to the bulge on Xiaoyu’s back.

"Watch out!" Bai Ruozhu grabbed Madam Sun, with Xiaoyu a short distance away, but Furball, always keeping watch on her side, wanted to stop but was too late!

"Stop!" A scruffy figure dashed forward, knocking Xiaoyu from the killer’s hands, blocking the knife coming down.

The knife cut into him, blood gushing out instantly, splashing all over Xiaoyu sprawled on the ground.

"Grandpa..." Xiaoyu couldn’t believe it, but in the next second, his eyes reddened. With so much blood, would his Grandpa die?

Furball darted over with a swish, biting into the killer’s neck fiercely, and the furious killer fell to the ground with wide eyes.

"Not good, retreat fast." A killer shouted.

The rage in Bai Ruozhu’s eyes burned bright, "I gave you a chance, and you didn’t cherish it, no one will leave now."

She lifted her hand, struck Madam Sun’s acupuncture points, and tossed her to the ground.

She activated her agility, throwing a handful of silver needles, swinging the dagger towards the killers.

Furball sensed his owner’s anger, flew over to attack the escaping killers.

The killers wrapped in black clothes fell one by one, some began to fear and begged: "Heroine, heroine, spare us, we were just taking money to solve disasters, grudges have heads, debts have owners, go kill her."

Madam Sun on the ground looked surprised at Bai Ruozhu, who killed without batting an eye. Her white clothes were all stained red, like a Shura witch from Hell’s abyss, bloodthirsty and cruel.

Madam Sun suddenly felt scared, who had she provoked?

"Spare you this time? If today you caught me, wanting to kill me, would you spare me?" She asked sternly.

For a moment, all the killers were speechless. They were killers, doing the job of killing.

"Furball, knock them out." Bai Ruozhu ordered, she didn’t want to kill them anymore. They carried so many lives, they should face legal punishment.

On the other side, Xiaoyu already cried until he was a mess of tears, "Grandpa, why did you come over?"

It was the old beggar. He didn’t know when he came sneaking over; everyone over there was hiding, not daring to take risks, yet he crept forward, saving his own grandson.

The old beggar grinned, suddenly coughing up blood.

"This time, Grandpa... didn’t abandon you. Can you... forgive Grandpa?" He asked with difficulty.

Xiaoyu cried loudly, "Fool! Weren’t you always selfish? Then stay selfish, why save me? I won’t thank you!"

Bai Ruozhu hurried over to check the old beggar’s injuries, and upon checking, her eyes reddened too.

He couldn’t be saved; the injuries were too severe, unless there were medicine to revive someone from the dead, like the kind that saved her second brother last time.
