Chapter 90 - The Secret Agent
Chapter 90: The Secret Agent
Moh Yanchen, who was on the phone in the living room, heard her panicked screams and rushed into the bedroom. He bumped into the bathroom door and saw her fall to the ground.
Shen Chengjing’s fair and attractive figure reflected in his eyes. Moh Yanchen gulped. His eyes turned red.
“Where did you fall? Does it hurt?” Moh Yanchen panicked. He took off his bathrobe to wrap her and lifted her up, carrying her in princess-style.
Shen Chengjing was in shock. She pointed out of the window in a panic. “Uncle, don’t worry about me. Go take a look. Someone was peeking at me from outside the window.”
It was scary even thinking about it. They were on the second floor. There was actually someone staring at her from outside the window. Could it be a pervert? Of course, ever since she was targeted by the assassin, she felt that things might not be that simple.
“Okay.” Moh Yanchen carried her back to the room, pressed the alarm, then turned around and walked out.
Mo Qiu arrived very quickly and looked at her injured knee. Although it was red and swollen, it was not misplaced. Some medicine would be able to reduce the swelling. However, tonight, their expressions were grave.
Moh Yanchen looked at the footprints outside the bathroom. The other party was careful about not leaving any clear traces, but he had underestimated the bricks in the Moh Park. If they left a mark, it would become visible in the moonlight.
“D*mn it!” Moh Yanchen was only being wary. The fact that someone could undo the security system of Moh Park and break in, exceeded his expectations. He had even hidden outside the bathroom and quietly watched Shen Chengjing taking a bath.
“Brother Chen.” Wu Hao came back in a hurry. A piece was torn from his clothes.
To be able to match his skills in fighting and even tear his clothes, there weren’t many who could accomplish such a feat. He had not expected the other party to be an expert.
“Mhm.” Moh Yanchen placed his hands behind his back. He took a big step and pressed his body against the wall. A hole instantly appeared. Moh Yanchen and Wu Hao returned to the study through the secret passage.
“He’s a well-trained figure. I suspect that he’s an agent.” Wu Hao’s eyes sank. Who exactly sent him here? The answer was still a mystery. However, at this moment, the surroundings seemed to be filled with a dangerous aura.
“He’s very familiar with the structure of Moh Park. He could even avoid the alarm system,” Moh Yanchen spoke in a deep voice. A figure appeared in his mind. “Go and investigate. Find out what he did today.”
He picked up a pen and wrote a name on a piece of paper. Wu Hao’s expression changed slightly. He looked at Moh Yanchen with some doubt.
“Brother Chen, could it be a mistake?” There was no way it was him.
“Don’t worry about that. Send someone to keep an eye on him 24/7.” Moh Yanchen narrowed his eyes slightly. His fingertips traced the name. If anyone dared to touch his people, they would have to face the consequences… He would not show mercy.
“Yes.”
By the time Wu Hao left, Mo Wen had already climbed through the window and landed behind Moh Yanchen.
“Chief, we were unable to capture him, but I shot him in the arm with our special medicine,” Mo Wen said in a low voice.
Moh Yanchen’s order to not take his life had its own purpose. They habitually shot these people who were ‘set free’ . The bullets were smeared with a kind of medicine, which would seep into the other party’s flesh without their knowledge. With the passage of time, the medicine would turn into a time bomb, hidden in their body. This could be efficiently used to control their life and death.
“Well done.”
“It’s just that he doesn’t seem to be an assassin. Otherwise, with his skills, he could have easily taken her life at such a close distance. Not to mention, it would have been practically impossible for her to discover him.” Mo Wen did not understand. In the world of assassins, only a few matched Mo Wen in terms of skills.
However, Shen Chengjing had discovered his existence. Something was amiss.
