Chapter 1307 - 1308: Life Equivalence Rule
Chapter 1307: Chapter 1308: Life Equivalence Rule
Suspended midair, Green gazed at that towering extreme abyss magic staff, like an immeasurable demon palm veiling the entire sky, a cataclysmic, all-crushing Strength that Green absolutely could not resist.
Before Strength on such a level, any frontal resistance from Green was meaningless, including detonating himself through self-Sealing.
"It must have surpassed ten million degrees already, perhaps even a higher order of Strength my mind doesn’t even dare to imagine..."
Green’s Three-Colored Light Eyes stared unblinking.
Never before had there been a moment when Green was so calm.
The King of the Void Annihilators and the King of the Obsidian Scorpions, fleeing in disarray; the endless Abyssal Summoning of the Abyssal Dragons Corps spewing forth without cease; the Demon Ancestor’s palm that could casually slap him to death in an instant...
Vast and boundless, surging without end—such a level of physical Strength had already turned its wielder into an inconceivable, half-transcendent mystery, partially detached from the dimensional strata.
Yet beneath the Face of Truth, Green actually smiled.
On one side, the "Book of Truth" rustled as its pages flipped without pause; on the other, upon the upraised, empty palm of Green the Human Wizard, a strand of pure white cleansing light arose.
The pure white light was faint, almost formless.
If it had not appeared at this very moment in the hand of Green the Wizard, almost no one would have noticed its existence—but now that it did, in a Wizard’s palm, it represented the Strength of Rules!
Wizards use the smallest possible price to pry the lever of Rules, attempting to transform the living races between ideal and reality, to use knowledge and wisdom to lever the Rules of all things.
Facing this passive evolution that had once made Wizards hard-pressed to touch such a vast, transcendent Strength, Green at this moment could not possibly confront it head-on with Strength; yet in the steady gaze of his Three-Colored Light Eyes there was no trace of panic, only unhurried composure.
Because at this moment, Green stood above the Rules!
"Death? Jie-jie-jie-jie, in that case, this arm of yours will remain. Come, taste the Strength of a Wizard prying upon the Rules!"
Green roared skyward; in his hand, that thread of Light of Balancing Lever in Green’s own eyes was not merely a ray he grasped, but the tangled roots of the Balance Rules that permeate the entire Endless World, with himself gripping one tiny corner of those root-tips, tugging upon the Balance Rules of the Endless World as a whole.
Only Wizards could fathom the vastness within, the boundless flood within.
Those beings who lived within the framework of Rules could not possibly comprehend the Strength hidden therein!
At the instant Green drew forth this beam of light of equilibrium, beneath his feet a colossal balance scale took form between Green and the Faceless Ancestor Demon; regardless of the strong and the weak, the great and the small, the lowly and the noble, under the Balance Rules of the Endless World, the value of life was equal—each only one of the infinite, variegated elements composing the Endless World.
In that instant, Green and the Faceless Ancestor Demon accomplished life equivalence!
"You... you!?"
Though it could not understand the source of Green’s Strength, this moment the Faceless Ancestor Demon—so powerful as to offend the heavens—clearly perceived the effect brought by the life-equivalence Balance Rules that Green had invoked.
In this moment, it had actually linked its life with this insignificant thing?
Wizards—this was the Strength of those Wizards!
The Faceless Ancestor Demon panted heavily; in that instant, it seemed to recall certain fragments of history from its long aeons of life—those frenzied, mad Ancient Wizards—and the tiny figure before it, whom it could swat to death at any time, gradually overlapped with those silhouettes.
That had been a bitter, desperate war in the Formless Ancient Demon Abyssal World.
Innumerable Abyss Formless Ancient Demons and uncountable Abyssal Dragons Corps had been thrown into it; the sides had locked in a stalemate of slaughter for several thousand years, never retreating—only flesh and bone, Strength and wisdom, clashing and colliding in wave after wave, shattering world after world into fragments, carpeting the land with corpses.
The terrifying part was this!
At the final critical moment, those Wizards, in an irredeemable defeat, had actually shifted the spacetime of an entire world!
Precisely because of that, even though the Abyssal World ultimately gained victory, it had still lost one of its demon arms forever, unrecoverable, abandoned in that newly opened Abyssal demonic land, and could only be reborn and reshaped with vast quantities of the Omnipotent Dominator’s Soul.
This Wizard, he...
"Jie-jie-jie-jie, Forgotten Truth Spatiotemporal Sealing Technique!"
Unbelievable!
As the pages of Green’s "Book of Truth" turned with a rustle, above his head a tiny, nearly negligible rift of forgotten spacetime appeared.
Immediately, the "Book of Truth" floated up, and Green’s left arm silently detached; amid Green’s insane, savage laughter, he actually eternally Sealed his own arm, and chose to banish it utterly!
In this act of madness, Green actually abandoned, along with that arm, the Stigmata Soul Flame it carried.
This was an eternal kind of damage, absolutely not something the Metamorphosis Technique could repair!
Squeak...
Amid the vast, boundless Balance Rules, standing upon the balance of Rules, after Green had Sealed and discarded his own arm, there came a faint "squeak" that only a High-Order Wizard could sense—that was the prying of Rules—as the tray on Green’s side of the scale slowly rose.
"Jie-jie, jie-jie-jie-jie-jie-jie..."
Green’s Three-Colored Light Eyes, expressionless, stared at that vast Demon Ancestor palm descending from the heavens.
"No..."
This Abyssal Formless Demon Ancestor let out a hysterical roar of terror.
In outward appearance, its arm was being erased by some unknown force—erased without any sensation, erased irresistibly—yet in the True Sight of the Wizard’s eyes, it was the root-tendrils of that river of Balance Rules’ light, which pierced through the Endless World, that were corroding its Rules, maintaining the life-equivalence Balance Rules between it and Green!
Having lost that Demon Ancestor’s Arm which blotted out the sky and imprisoned spacetime, although this was an equivalent exchange, Green, with the triumphant laughter of the victor, shot skyward and sped toward the high altitudes where the endless Abyssal Dragons Corps were erupting and clashing with the Ironblood Galaxy and Mother Nest civilizations.
The Omnipotent Soul was rapidly restoring Green’s missing arm, and he soon returned to his former state.
As for this Abyssal Demon Ancestor, although it too could recover with the Omnipotent Soul, the amount consumed would be worlds apart from what Green required!
Amid the hysterical howls below, Green’s right hand summoned the extreme abyss magic staff back from midair, and as his fully restored left hand sliced open a Dimensional Gap, a Chronostorm Stone appeared.
"This is a gift from the Wizards to you!"
With a "swish," that Chronostorm Stone—given to Green within the Dimensional Esophagus by a Dimensional Overseer—flashed and vanished. A brief moment later, accompanied by a Temporal Storm that made the heart of the Void Meteorite Great World tremble with a "rumble-rumble-rumble," no one knew how many of the Abyssal Dragons Corps were shredded; Green soared ever upward, charging toward the place where the King of the Void Annihilators reigned in the higher void.
The surging Temporal Storm quickly drowned out the roars of that Demon Ancestor.
Now, as long as Green could confirm that the three civilizations and the Abyssal World had truly entered into a Civilization War, then all meaning of his presence here would be completely fulfilled; it would be time to return, via Xiao Ba’s spacetime coordinates, to the Fool’s Sky Realm, and from there, through The Fool, proceed to the Eternal Moon world!
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom...
At this moment, over the Dead Star Crater of the Void Meteorite Great World, though flames of war filled the sky, they were only on a minor scale, far from rising to the level of a true Civilization War where both sides would fight to the Immortal end.
The King of the Void Annihilators and the King of the Obsidian Scorpions were, quite glaringly, surrounded by fourteen Dominator Wills from the three civilizations of Ironblood Galaxy, Mother Nest, and Trickster.
As Green burst upward into the chaotic storm, he quickly became the second target upon whom many Dominators fixed their gaze.
