Chapter 2150: Chapter 531: Growing Old Together, Never Leaving or Forsaking

Ye Wenxing’s eyes quickly flashed a strange light, he chuckled, "What’s the matter, madam?"

His tone carried an unmistakable eagerness to see disaster strike.

An Ying took a deep breath; it was not yet time to reveal the truth. She needed to understand what was really going on, and determine which of Ye Yuwei or Ye Xiaoxiao was her biological daughter.

"It’s nothing, just suddenly feeling a bit dizzy." An Ying’s fingers tightly grasped Mo Pianpian’s hand. Mo Pianpian endured the pain and dared not speak, carefully glancing at An Ying, wondering: what’s wrong with mom?

"Dizziness can be serious, and since we’re in the hospital now, madam should get checked out, to find and thoroughly treat the root cause. Don’t you agree, madam?" Ye Wenxing said with a smile.

An Ying forced a fake smile and nodded, "Miss Ye is right, let’s go, Pianpian."

After speaking, she was about to turn and leave.

Mo Pianpian looked towards the direction of the operating room and whispered, "But what about sister..."

"Go." The word squeezed out from between An Ying’s teeth, causing Mo Pianpian to tremble inwardly, and she hurriedly supported An Ying to leave.

"Madam, wait." Ye Xiaoxiao suddenly spoke.

An Ying paused but did not turn around, thus she did not see the unrestrained malicious smile in Ye Xiaoxiao’s eyes, as if anticipating an impending farce, mixed with a hint of crazy revenge and hatred.

"What is the relationship between madam and Ye Yuwei? She’s an orphan. Could it be that madam is Ye Yuwei’s long-lost relative?"

An Ying’s expression became stiff; her mouth opened, but all she felt was bitterness inside.

"Ye Yuwei is currently being resuscitated, her life uncertain. If madam truly is her relative, I believe she would hope madam stays by her side in her most difficult time. Don’t you agree, madam?"

Although spoken in a gentle voice, it felt like a silent taunt to An Ying.

"Mom, should we leave or not..." Mo Pianpian asked. Actually, she didn’t want to be there, but thinking about it, though Ye Yuwei was in the wrong, she was still her biological sister, and she couldn’t ignore her life and death.

An Ying stood there with a rigid back, unable to leave or stay, not knowing how to even speak.

At this moment, doctors and nurses walked out, drenched in sweat. Feng Dai rushed out clutching the needle mark on her right arm and anxiously asked the doctor, "How’s my grandson?"

The doctor had seen so many family members like this and was long immune, though he couldn’t help but feel a slight disdain for those who only cared about the child and ignored the mother. However, this wouldn’t show on his face.

He spoke formally, "The child was saved, but some sequelae are unavoidable. However..." At this point, the doctor’s gaze became odd, wanting to ask something but holding back.

Upon hearing the child was saved, Feng Dai breathed a long sigh of relief, but tense again upon hearing about sequelae, "What sequelae? Doctor, explain clearly. If my grandson has any issues, I’ll make sure this hospital shuts down."

The doctor felt helpless, increasingly disdainful inside, and coldly said, "Surgery inherently involves countless risks, not to mention you family members signed the pre-surgery risk agreement. Even if it goes to court, I have absolutely no liability. I have fulfilled my responsibilities and duties to both the mother and newborn."

Feng Dai wasn’t in the mood to argue with the doctor and urgently asked, "What are the child’s sequelae exactly?"

The doctor glanced at the nurse beside him and said coldly, "Explain to the family, I have other matters, so I’ll take my leave now." After speaking, he quickly turned away before Feng Dai could say anything more.

The child, as a preterm infant, suffered from brain hypoxia. Although immediate rescue was performed, there’s still a fifty percent chance of sequelae, commonly known as cerebral palsy...

Upon hearing that the child might end up with cerebral palsy, Feng Dai’s face changed drastically, and she suddenly grabbed the nurse’s collar, speaking harshly, "You incompetent doctors have harmed my grandson. I won’t let this go."

The nurse trembled and said, "We’ve taken immediate treatment measures. There was no issue with our treatment methods. Also..." The nurse swallowed hard, "The child was luckily saved, but the mother..."

Feng Dai instinctively asked, "What about the mother?"

An Ying frowned tightly and turned around to walk over quickly.

Before getting to the bottom of things, Yuwei was still her daughter, and she couldn’t just ignore it.
