Clara Grant hurried out of the dressing room and ran toward Director Keane, completely missing Sienna Hale approaching from the opposite direction.

Sienna raised her hand to call out to her, but in the blink of an eye, Clara was already far away. Shaking her head with a helpless smile, Sienna glanced at the food container in her hand, then at the dressing room door. She figured she would leave the food inside first, then go call Clara over to eat breakfast before starting work.

Pushing the door open, Sienna walked inside. There were several vanity tables in the room. She scanned the area and spotted Clara’s bag resting on the center table.

She walked over, set the food container down, and was about to turn and leave when she noticed the bag was unzipped. A piece of paper and a cell phone were sticking out. She reached over to tidy it up. As she pushed the paper back inside, she instinctively glanced at it. It was a medical report.

"A medical report?" Sienna muttered. "Could there be something wrong with Clara’s health?"

Feeling a sudden surge of nervousness, she quickly picked up the report to examine it closely. It read: Clara Grant, Female, 24 years old. Diagnosis: Early pregnancy.

At the sight of the words "early pregnancy," Sienna was hit with a wave of pleasant surprise. Clara was pregnant? That was wonderful!

But how could she and Seth keep such a massive secret? They hadn’t even told her, Seth’s own mother! Sienna lowered her head and carefully read through it again, noticing the examination date was over a week ago.

It had been that long, and they still hadn’t told her! Thank goodness she came to visit today and found it, otherwise who knew how long they would have kept it hidden.

With that in mind, Sienna neatly tucked the report back into the bag and zipped it up. She pulled out her phone and made a call.

"Mom? Why are you calling? Is something wrong?" Seth Quinn was swamped with work when he answered Sienna’s call. He frowned as he sorted through the stacks of documents and files on his desk.

"Is something wrong?" Sienna huffed, feigning anger. "Of course it’s something important! Seth, you and Clara are going a bit too far. Clara is pregnant—how could you keep something so huge from your father and me? Don’t you know how much I’ve been dying to hold a grandchild? You should have told me ages ago!"

"What?" Seth, who was in the middle of signing a document, flinched violently at the words "Clara is pregnant." His pen jerked, piercing a hole straight through the paper.

He acted as if he hadn’t noticed, merely tightening his grip on the pen. His voice grew strained. "Mom, did you just say Clara is pregnant?"

Sienna was taken aback by his question. "What? You didn’t know?! Clara didn’t tell you either?"

It only took a split second for Seth to recover. He steadied himself, relaxing his posture and loosening the tension in his voice. "Oh, of course I knew. I was just curious about how you found out."

Right now, there was no way he could admit he had no idea about the pregnancy. Regardless of whether it was true or why Clara had kept it from him, he absolutely could not let his mother misunderstand his wife.

After all, keeping a pregnancy a secret from her in-laws was somewhat excusable, but hiding it from her own husband would be completely unjustifiable.
