"Heh, Clara Grant. What a unique excuse. Show these photos to everyone here. Who’s going to believe you were just celebrating a child’s birthday? If it’s not your child, why would you be so kind as to celebrate it with him?"

After refuting Clara, Chloe Grant turned to the crowd. "Do you believe an explanation like that? Well, I certainly don’t!"

"Since you don’t believe her," Seth Quinn, beside Clara Grant, spoke up nonchalantly the moment she finished. "Since you don’t believe her, we’ll just call the man from the photos over. Then, we’ll see who’s telling the truth—you or her. It’ll all be crystal clear, won’t it?"

"President Quinn, are you sure we can get to the bottom of this just by calling that man over? If Clara Grant really is having an affair with him, he’ll obviously corroborate her story."

In truth, Chloe Grant had no idea if Clara Grant was actually having an affair with the man in the photos. Hearing Seth Quinn suggest calling him over made her heart pound, but she maintained a calm facade.

Seth Quinn’s lips curled into a smile, but it was a chilling one. "Of course, I have my ways of finding out the truth."

After speaking, he fixed Chloe Grant with a cold stare for another two seconds before shifting his gaze to Miles Quinn. Miles immediately understood, nodded at Seth, and ordered someone to find Sierra Sutton.

When Evan Shelby heard Seth Quinn say they were bringing Sierra Sutton over, he began to worry. He glanced at the crowd, who were all buzzing with excitement and eager to watch the drama unfold.

’If Sierra Sutton comes, what if someone finds out the child is his and Autumn’s? What will we do then? And with so many people watching... We’ll fail to ruin Clara Grant, and the Shelby Family will become the biggest laughingstock in all of Novaria. The losses would far outweigh the gains!’

And so, he turned his head and looked worriedly at Autumn Shelby.

But Autumn Shelby gave him a reassuring look, leaning in to whisper, "Dad, don’t worry. I’ve already handled Sierra Sutton. I just need to make a quick call and tell him what to do."

"Really?" Evan Shelby seemed unconvinced.

"Of course. Don’t worry, he loves me more than anything, so he’ll do whatever I ask." Autumn Shelby was clearly brimming with confidence as she spoke, pulling out her phone to call Sierra Sutton.

Seeing how certain she was, Evan Shelby relaxed slightly. ’As long as Sierra Sutton is still deeply in love with Autumn, he won’t do anything to hurt her or the Shelby Family.’

Even so, a nagging worry remained. After a moment’s thought, he walked over to Theodore Quinn.

"Theodore, don’t you think we should clear the room first? After all, when Sierra arrives, if there really is something going on between him and that Clara Grant, it won’t do either the Shelby Family or the Quinn Family any good. Of course, your family’s reputation stands to lose the most.

"That’s why I believe the fewer people who know about this, the better. And look at this crowd..."

"Oh?" Theodore Quinn turned to him with a faint smile. "What’s this about clearing the room? If I’m not mistaken, Mrs. Shelby was just arguing against that very idea."

Evan Shelby was instantly mortified. He forced a smile and said, "Ah, Theodore, that was... my wife wasn’t thinking clearly. After all, the situation involved Sarah, so she was being impulsive."
