Chapter 641: Chapter 638: If She Doesn’t Die, Send Her to the Police Station

"I loved you so humbly. I loved you so much I lost myself, lost all reason. And you? You never even spared me a single glance.

What’s wrong with me? Am I inferior to Clara Grant in some way? Seth Quinn, tell me, why can’t you just love me?"

Faye Jennings spoke through her tears, but Seth Quinn didn’t even spare her a glance. Instead, he turned his gaze to Clara Grant, his eyes tender and his tone indulgent. "Clara, how do you want to punish her? Just tell me what you want, and I’ll do it."

Faye Jennings almost couldn’t breathe, and for a moment, she even forgot to cry.

’Here I am, confessing my heart out so miserably, and he just acts like he can’t see or hear me?’

’Could anything be more soul-crushing than this?’

’Ha. Seth Quinn... that man’s heart is so hard, so cold! But when it comes to Clara Grant, he’s nothing but soft and warm.’

’I’ve lost. I’ve lost completely and utterly!’

Clara Grant glanced at Faye Jennings. Seeing her look of utter despair, Clara understood that Faye must be completely broken, all hope lost.

She didn’t feel any sympathy or pity for Faye—she knew this was deserved—but she still couldn’t bear to see her in such a state.

’Love... it really is the most troublesome and destructive thing in the world!’

’Faye Jennings had such a promising career, such a bright future ahead of her. But in the end, it was all ruined by her own unrequited love.’

Clara Grant suddenly felt stifled and wanted to go outside for some fresh air.

She pretended to check the time, then stood up and said to Seth Quinn, "As for her, the law can punish her. Just have someone take her to the police station. I have two really important classes I need to get back to school for, so I’m going to head out."

With that, she turned and walked toward the door, quickly disappearing from sight.

Seth Quinn didn’t stop her. He knew she was upset and needed some space to cool down, so he let her go.

Once Clara Grant was out the door, Chase Childs gestured to the two men holding Faye Jennings. They hauled her up and walked out as well.

Chase Childs looked to Seth Quinn for instructions. "President Quinn, what should we do with Faye Jennings? Take her straight to the police station?"

Seth Quinn leaned back casually against the sofa, his eyes narrowing slightly. He asked, seemingly offhand, "Who was that rich guy who wanted to buy her five years ago?"

"A dumpy, nouveau-riche little boss. I believe his last name was Warren. I did a background check on him back then because of Faye Jennings. It seems this Mr. Warren has some... special hobbies in the bedroom."

Seth Quinn nodded, saying nonchalantly, "Contact him and send her over. If she survives, send her to the police station afterward."

"Yes, sir." Chase Childs nodded. He was just about to leave to carry out the order when Seth Quinn stopped him.

"Don’t let her know about this. If she asks, just say we took her straight to the police station."

Chase Childs nodded again and left the office.

The office door clicked shut. Seth Quinn looked away from the door, blankly twirling the phone in his hand.

’Five years ago, a moment of weakness led me to save Faye Jennings. I never expected that her gratitude would curdle into something else, something that made her want to harm the woman I love most.’

’I saved her five years ago. Since she didn’t know how to appreciate what she was given, I’ll just have to push her back into that same abyss.’

’If Faye Jennings hadn’t deliberately schemed to kill Clara, I wouldn’t have resorted to such methods. But alas...’

’If I hadn’t been on set during that scene, Clara could have easily died on the spot. So no, I don’t think the way I’m dealing with Faye Jennings now is cruel at all.’

’This outcome... she brought it all on herself!’
