Chapter 1446: Chapter 1436: Do You Love Me?

The evening breeze was a bit strong. Mu Yan wore a knitted sweater, walked through the hotel lobby, and went out the door.

A black limited edition Rolls-Royce was parked at the entrance. As soon as Mu Yan came out, the car door opened, and Jiang Jingheng stepped out and came to Mu Yan.

He held Mu Yan’s hand and asked, "What do you want to eat tonight?"

Mu Yan looked at him, his handsome face as gentle as always, with a warm current seemingly flowing in his light brown eyes, making one intoxicated.

She suddenly lowered her eyelids and said, "You decide."

"Okay, let’s get in the car first." Jiang Jingheng opened the car door.

Sitting in the car, Jiang Jingheng bent down again to help Mu Yan fasten her seatbelt, casually asking, "What did you do today?"

"Had lunch with Sister Wenhui, then rested at the hotel."

Jiang Jingheng suddenly frowned, "Why did she ask you out?"

Mu Yan said calmly, "Of course, to have tea and chat."

She glanced at him, a bit surprised, "What’s wrong? Why so tense?" ℴ

Jiang Jingheng looked at her clear eyes, remained silent for a moment, then said, "Interact with her less."

"Do you have conflicts?" Mu Yan asked tentatively, "But I think she’s quite nice and seems to care about us."

Jiang Jingheng’s expression slightly darkened, and he said lightly, "Can’t truly know a person’s heart. Refuse her next time she asks you out."

"Alright." Mu Yan looked ahead.

Jiang Jingheng looked at her, hesitated to speak, and finally started the car.

The dinner location was a Cantonese restaurant with good decor, though there were few patrons.

The restaurant manager apparently knew Jiang Jingheng. As soon as he saw him, he immediately came forward with a smile on his face, "Young Master Jiang, Mrs. Jiang, your table has been arranged, please follow me."

Mu Yan nodded and walked inside with Jiang Jingheng.

This restaurant was on the fifteenth floor, positioned in a prime area of the city. The window seats offered a comprehensive view of the surrounding high-rises, shops, and roads.

Mu Yan turned her head to look out the window. The night in Upper City seemed to be lit with countless glass lamps, colorful and brilliant.

After ordering the dishes, Jiang Jingheng noticed Mu Yan lost in thought and asked, "What’s wrong? Do you have something on your mind?"

Mu Yan snapped back to reality, looked at him, and said, "No."

She picked up the cup of water beside her, and took a sip.

Jiang Jingheng stared at her for a long time, eventually saying nothing.

The two fell into unusual silence; the atmosphere felt inexplicably strange.

After who knows how long, Mu Yan broke the silence, asking, "By the way, last time I asked you for the contact information of the boy’s family who donated the heart to Mu Chen. Is there still no news?"

Jiang Jingheng looked at her, meeting her inquisitive gaze.

His well-shaped brows twitched, saying, "Okay."

Mu Yan took another sip of water and said nothing more.

Just then, the waiter started to serve the dishes. Mu Yan looked at the white-cut chicken, stir-fried yam slices, and steamed fish on the table and felt no appetite.

She picked up her chopsticks, ate a couple of mouthfuls, and then set them down.

Seeing this, Jiang Jingheng said, "Isn’t it good?"

"Not really hungry." Mu Yan replied lightly.

Jiang Jingheng placed some food in her bowl, saying, "My bad, didn’t pick a good place. But you’ll be hungry later if you don’t eat anything, so have a bit. Tomorrow, I’ll take you to have whatever you want."

Mu Yan looked at the mound of food in her bowl, her lips pressed lightly, emotions swirling within.

Seeing her not moving the chopsticks, Jiang Jingheng asked with a slight furrow of his brows, "What’s wrong?"

Mu Yan suddenly raised her head to look at him and asked, "Do you really love me?"
