Chapter 1439: Chapter 1439: Don’t Go!

Mu Yan wanted to ask, but Jiang Jingheng didn’t plan to tell her, and directly sent her back to the hotel.

Looking at his aloof face, Mu Yan felt a bit discouraged. She had tried every good and bad way of persuasion, yet he still wouldn’t let her go home.

She held his hand and said, "Then if I don’t go home, can’t you stay here with me?"

Seeing her looking so aggrieved, Jiang Jingheng’s heart suddenly softened. He held her hand and couldn’t bring himself to say no, so he replied, "Okay."

Hearing this, Mu Yan finally showed a bit of a smile.

She immediately pulled him into the room, as if afraid he would change his mind.

Once the door was closed, Mu Yan held him tightly and wouldn’t let go.

"What’s the matter?" Jiang Jingheng looked down at Mu Yan.

Mu Yan murmured, "I just want to hold you."

Seeing her clinging to him like that, a trace of a smile unconsciously appeared on Jiang Jingheng’s handsome face. He lifted her in his arms and sat on the bed.

Mu Yan wrapped her arms around his neck, burying her head in his chest.

Jiang Jingheng played with her hand and asked, "Are you hungry?"

If he hadn’t mentioned it, Mu Yan wouldn’t have felt it, but once he did, she really felt a bit hungry.

He didn’t come back to the Jiang Family in the evening, with someone like Qiu Shuyun stirring trouble on that side, she couldn’t eat at all.

"Hungry."

"Then I’ll call someone to bring some food over," Jiang Jingheng said as he prepared to lay her on the bed.

But Mu Yan held on to him tightly, so he had to give up.

Looking at her child-like manner, Jiang Jingheng’s face was full of affection, as he raised a hand to lightly touch her nose, "You’re being so clingy, aren’t you hungry?"

"I’m hungry, but I have no energy," Mu Yan pouted.

"Do you not have energy to lie down either?" Jiang Jingheng looked at her teasingly.

Mu Yan knew he was laughing at her lame excuse, she glared at him, "Is that not allowed?"

"Of course it’s allowed." Jiang Jingheng said easily.

Mu Yan huffed and snuggled back into his arms, saying, "I haven’t forgiven you yet, you need to be nicer to me."

Jiang Jingheng looked at her helplessly, "Okay."

Mu Yan felt upset, sitting up and looking at him, "What’s okay? You’re nice to me just because I haven’t forgiven you? How can you be like this?"

Jiang Jingheng, "..."

He was just going along with her words.

"I didn’t mean it like that, no matter what, I’ll always be nice to you." Jiang Jingheng said softly, gently holding her cheeks, and kissed her forehead.

That kiss as light as a cicada’s wing stirred Mu Yan’s emotions; her eyelashes trembled, she lowered her head, touched his forehead, and shyly said, "Am I being a bit unreasonable?"

"No, everything you say is right." Jiang Jingheng said in a low voice.

Mu Yan smiled brightly, looked at him, pursed her lips and confidently said, "You said that."

"Yes, I said it."

Mu Yan was about to say something when suddenly a wave of sleepiness hit her, she raised her hand to cover her mouth and yawned.

"Sleepy?" Jiang Jingheng asked.

"Hmm." Mu Yan rubbed her eyes.

"Then do you still want to eat something?"

"I don’t want to eat, just want to sleep," Mu Yan said, yawning again.

Jiang Jingheng saw she was truly sleepy and didn’t push her, instead he held her and went to the bathroom to bathe.

By the time they finished bathing and came out, Mu Yan was already drowsy.

Jiang Jingheng laid her on the bed, intending to cover her with a blanket when her hand suddenly grabbed his wrist.

He glanced down, his gaze falling back on her. She was looking at him sleepily, her mouth moved slightly, with a heavy nasal tone in her voice, "Don’t leave."
